Hello, I have the same DVD player/recorder with HDD, when try to play a dvd, the display indicates “NO DISC”, I can see the laser is flashing and trying to find the Disc and the motor is spinning, but after 3-4 secs the NO DISC message is on the display, this happens with dvd and cd. Do you know how to fix that? Thx.
Hi, I have a PlayStation 3 (fat model) which had water spilled on it. I took it apart and cleaned it with alcohol before turning it on and when I turned it on it blew the fuse in the plug and shot a flame from the power connector. I installed a new power supply thinking it was that but it still does exactly the same thing every time I plug it it, fuse blows and loud pop from back power connector. Do you have any idea what would cause this apart from the power supply? I have a multimeter and could test a few things if you have any ideas. I have tried a different cable and checked the obvious for shorts between the live and neutral but all seems fine, I don’t have much experience though. Hope you can help! Thanks
Hi Lewie Appleton , think you have a short by the power plug , does it blow the power supply fuse or the fuse in the plug ? take the multimeter test for continuity between the 3 pins on the back of the PS3, can you send me some photo of the power plug inside the PS3 to repairanonymous@gmail.com
@@AnonymousRepair Hi thanks for replying, I thought that too but I checked continuity between all three pins and there are no shorts. The power supply fuse does not blow, only the fuse in the plug.. will take it apart again and send photos tomorrow if that's okay? Thank you
Anonymous Repair Hi again, I never got around to emailing you because I have been busy but I finally took the PS3 apart again yesterday and inspected the power port/switch assembly, there were no shorts but I thought it had to be that so I opened up the on/off switch and it was all black inside. So I bypassed the switch temporarily and it worked! Liquid must have gotten inside the switch and caused a short. Thanks for your advice again!

Hi i have this same dvd recorder.when i press eject cd button it is not ejecting.how to fix this issue
That could be anything , from the switch to the dvd drive, do you hear the motor spinning when pressing the button ?
