Lots of people dont like this type of music, but honestly deep down, this is the most emotional music there can be. Yea it's all screaming and loud instruments. But screaming is one of the best ways to truly express yourself. Think about it, when you scream, you are using 100% of your vocal capabilities. I was never been able to scream, (ive always wanted to be able to scream) but then I went to this spiritual program, (not to learn how to scream.) But to get closer to God. And confess my sins to him. So they told me to scream them. And I didnt wanna do that cause I was never able to scream. But then after a few hours, I was ready to confess. Went outside, to the forest, they set up a pillow on the ground. I went on my knees, eyes closed and I started. 2 guys were guiding me in the process. They have gone through the same thing I was experiencing. I started confessing my sins with the loudest voice I could make. But then a couple minutes later something clicked, and I opened a door or I would say God opened me a door. I could scream now. I felt like I was oli Sykes. It brought me joy. I kept confessing all my sins to him and in the end. I was told to put my arms up and visualize God giving me a new clean heart. And the moment I did that. I was a changed person. With a new clean heart, cause when you confess your sins and your problems to him with your loudest voice. You are truly putting everything into the lords hands. Like if you have a heavy backpack and then someone else carries it for you. (This comment isnt Intended to tell you to believe in God. I'm just sharing my life changing experience, I missed out alot of details but the point is, you have a hidden voice inside of you and it's okay to let it all out every once in a while, it brings peacefulness in the end. Long story short, there was a boy who lived in a small town that was liked by everybody. one night he was invited to go camping with some friends. they got there. 3 of them (i think it was a guy and two girls) said they'd be right back. they came back, brutally assaulted him, hacked him up with a scythe that they got from a nearby barn. It rattled the community because nothing like that had ever happened. And he just so happened to be a fan of BMTH. Oli was saddened by hearing this on the news, so he wrote this song for him.

There are certain that are dedicated to devil and pagan worship. But if you listen to the right screamo which is mostly what I listen to, then you can listen to what you love and still be right in your walk. I listen closely to lyrics of songs I find risky. Just be careful if you'd like. But remember listening to music can impact your walk with Christ in the end if you're listening to the wrong kinds of music. I can suggest listening to bands like underoath, wolves at the gate, Red. For me the non-christian bands that I listen to that I love are sleeping with sirens, asking Alexandria, pierce the veil, and a day to remember etc... Just remember Christianity isn't a religion, its not a church based people based practice. Its a relationship between you and God. Keep strong in that and you'll learn to find the answers to this. Long story short, there was a boy who lived in a small town that was liked by everybody. one night he was invited to go camping with some friends. they got there. 3 of them (i think it was a guy and two girls) said they'd be right back. they came back, brutally assaulted him, hacked him up with a scythe that they got from a nearby barn. It rattled the community because nothing like that had ever happened. And he just so happened to be a fan of BMTH. Oli was saddened by hearing this on the news, so he wrote this song for him.

I would be so terrified of falling asleep. one of reasons why, i didnt only get choked, i was sexually assaulted in it by a dark shadowed creature with a hateful..hateful arua and it literally scared the sh*t out of me. When i got out, i felt raped...molested...I couldnt sleep for days after that. it happened twice only but i cant ever forget it.

Tbh I think Oliver and Lights voices work so well together. Like Oli's voice is, well screaming and Lights is very light and airy, but both have strong emotions in them. Surprisingly their voices work very well together.

There are certain that are dedicated to devil and pagan worship. But if you listen to the right screamo which is mostly what I listen to, then you can listen to what you love and still be right in your walk. I listen closely to lyrics of songs I find risky. Just be careful if you'd like. But remember listening to music can impact your walk with Christ in the end if you're listening to the wrong kinds of music. I can suggest listening to bands like underoath, wolves at the gate, Red. For me the non-christian bands that I listen to that I love are sleeping with sirens, asking Alexandria, pierce the veil, and a day to remember etc... Just remember Christianity isn't a religion, its not a church based people based practice. Its a relationship between you and God. Keep strong in that and you'll learn to find the answers to this. This song has so much meaning in it. Sure, the first few times I heard it I didn't know if I liked it. Yes, he is screaming when he sings. No, it's not the most beautiful and serene sound. But this song isn't supposed to be a happy song. It isn't supposed to sound like a lullaby. It is supposed to show the struggles people go through in life. The lead singer's voice shows so much emotion, and the lyrics are sad. The lyrics are what should be looked at more than the fact that the singing is rough. Pairing up the lyrics with the voice and instruments makes it a powerful message. This world has a lot of hurt in it. A lot of people go through struggles you can't imagine. People who have lost loved ones, lost someone very important to them. People who are going through a war inside of their minds, trying to win but getting tired of fighting. There is a lot to be fixed in this world, and sometimes I stop and think about how much it makes me sad how this world is. There is murder, rape, death. People do cruel things. A lot of people are the victims.
And I am just starting to be a fan of BMTH. But I love the meaning in their songs. It makes me sad to see some people hating on it, saying that this music is crap because of the simple fact the vocals are rough and heavy. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but shouldn't be negative about it. But to me, it is so much better than some of the songs made today. Comparing this to a song such as "Bang Bang" By Iggy, Ariana, and Nicki, you can see the difference. I'm not hating on pop music, it's just the values in the songs aren't very mature and good. There is a lot of woman in the new pop age, and some are singing about being sex objects or flaunting their sexuality (such as Miley Cyrus). Yes, this could be seen as feminism and some may argue that they should be allowed to do what they want as it is their life. That's true, but exploiting themselves the way they do just worsens how women are seen. They're just singing and performing to be "free" or "wild" as you would say. But there are other ways other than showing the young generations it's okay to "have sex without meaning" or stuff like that.

I hate how fans hate their new stuff like "drown" when oli was acepting the award for best album of the year that award show he said after he came out of rehab that he doesn't want to scream anymore ( he can't do that so well anymore :/💔) he wanted to sing .
