Riviera Line (Exeter to Paignton) review ~ Train Simulator

Today we're revisiting an old TS classic route from 2014. I think it's fine for its age, but the linearity is annoying, and the route is much better with the extended version.
As for the included rolling stock, the Class 143 Pacer was a new model (of questionable quality) while the Class 43 HST is just the old Kuju-era model that Dovetail recycled for Riviera Line, with no significant changes (if any).

If you want a better version of the EK Modified Hall, then Vulcan productions has a reskin which you might like.

The riviera line hst was compatible with the old MTU EP from AP as I drove it a lot

Gotta admit my biggest issue with AP has always been their massive mistakes of taking down their scenario packs; and to some extent many of their sound packs too… I always wanted their scenario packs; especially for their scenario packs for this route. The BR 1980s Era scenario for this route would’ve been VERY enjoyable to run for me. A real shame these packs were taken down…

AP taking down their old sound packs (like those for the Class 20, Class 52, Class 55 and Class 303) wouldn't be so annoying if they hadn't done so without making replacement enhancement or rolling stock packs.
As for the scenarios, since the old packs were withdrawn, AP have got this new set-up where individual scenarios are available on a separate site for one pound each, but the old scenario packs are long gone, unfortunately. I don't understand this and a lot of other decisions they've made.

@@TheTrainspotterFromTauranga Yeah, generally I like AP, but decisions like this always puzzle me. Thanks for the link to their scenario application, I’m aware of its existence but never really gotten into it. The whole “scenario pack” system was always my favourite; instead of having to purchase individual ones.

If you want better reskins for the pacers and have more available you can get major Wales class 143 revamp pack

It would be interesting to see this route in TSW, but extended to Plymouth and set in the early 70s, with the 35, 42 and 52, certainly a better idea than Diesel Legends of the Great Western.
