Play master mode. Why do people play classic mode? My first world ever was in expert and after that every world was master. I never generated a single world in class. Idk if the difficulty was easy or I was pro, but I defeated most of the bosses in first try in master mode after I shifted to pc
Glad to see some more challenging terraria skyblock videos! The start isn't nearly as rough as the One Block No Items run I did a few months back, but it's definitely harder than the average skyblock video, haha.
@@kinkoos With a lot of experimentation I discovered a way to transmute items without a bast statue or wire. But I had to be in hardmode to do it, so pre-hardmode was still insanely grindy, even in journey mode (I didn't use research though). Since the slime rain star strat was slower than continental drift, after 5 hours (with time manipulation & repeatedly using t-edit to refresh slime rain) I moved the spawn position left and up so that harpies could spawn. This strat requires christmas but they were MUCH more consistent to farm presents from. I farmed them until I got a bunch of blocks and the pickaxe, then cheesed king slime for furniture & housing. After that I continued to struggle without fishing, wood, or a furnace, all with only 100HP (and all of its consequences). Then a bit into hardmode when I could finally transmute stuff I got some shimmer and lihzahrd stuff so I could progress. Also got a few other items required to obtain most boss and miniboss relics for the fun of it. I've been wanting to redo the challenge on a regular non-journey difficulty but haven't got around to it yet.
The strat you used for Legendary Wall of Flesh has gave me an idea on how to beat Legendary Wall of Flesh without ever interacting with Town NPC's or Skeleton merchant nor taking items from crafting interface. The only problem is actually making the arena and preparing

i started playing terraria skyblock from the inspiration of you, however I am unable to play in your maps as I am on mobile, so I played in Skyblock Challenge World, which my friend and I managed to beat, and I started to look for more challenges then I found this video.
When the traveling merchant tries to spawn, he always tries to spawn at the level of the player, yet also inside a town. 2 people does not constitute as a town, so he spawns hundreds of blocks away. Just my guess.
In the getfixedboi seed specifically, some hardmode weapons are swapped with prehardmode weapons and their damage is scaled accordingly. Magic dagger is swapped with wand of sparking, katana swapped with keybrand, and a few others.
Now seeing that you are also going to face the mechanical trio, I recommend a trick. Try to defeat some blessed mimics to release the Fel Thorn upgrade. When you summon it, try to defeat the worm first and then repeat the process twice to obtain the sack.And with that, make the armor, then you should farm red potions from the jungle mimics to completely defeat him. I do it this way, first the destroyer taking advantage of the fact that it can use weapons that penetrate it to defeat it easily, then the twins who cannot attack you and then skeletron prime With planta you will depend on an arena and it won't even touch you since the damage it does is brutal, then comes the worst and it is with the golem, it attacks quickly and without mercy I would recommend first so as not to suffer so much but it seems illogical to try to beat Duke Fishron first than Medusha if you can beat the slime queen and have a well-prepared arena Since the mount along with the set of balloons can easily evade the duke and even more so in its 3rd phase giving you the advantage of having good weapons.... Oh truth there is no mushroom biome I wish you luck And I hope you manage to overcome that challenge
Good advice, and I'll definitely be farming plenty of Jungle mimics for potions and blocks. Perhaps the worst part will be farming for the Mechanical Skull, which I can't craft without bones. If Mechdusa takes multiple attempts, I will have to farm the 1/2500 drop each try.
@@kinkoosTrue, it is not possible to get bones because the dungeon does not exist, which to get them it would be advisable to make a farm of discord wands but instead of farming that would be more used To do it in a crimson biome, farm both icord and enemies to release their summoners. Simply make a crimson farm, add that you will also be up, blood moon and you will surely generate many enemies to get it easily. And with the mimics it would also be useful but it would take a long time to farm even 100 of those blocks, just farm the potions and that's it.
You're right, it will take way too long to farm for a whole biome's worth of blocks. Instead I'll probably just farm enough pearlstone/pearlsand to get crystal shards and the Gelatin crystal so I can fight Queen Slime before

In my Calamity skyblock video I'm working on, I'm not doing the 100 days format, partly because of the Cosmolight item that lets you skip time instantly. Playing for 100 days is pretty meaningless when you can just use an item to skip through it all. Unfortunately, I struggle with titles and thumbnails, and with this format, the title sort of writes itself.
Honestly I hate when people use the "100 days" on terraria, on Minecraft ok, but on terraria? We just want to see you finish the game, not play through until you reach the end and end it without making it to the end.
Why don't you use different preset for your fishing set ? So you don't have to swap armor and accessories and quick swap to your battle set when you need

This start definitely shouldn't have been that difficult, I just messed up on a bunch of slimes.
