I got rid of everything that i didn't feel good in, or didn't fit quite right, or didn't fit at all. Gabe is right you can blindly get dressed. I grab my clothes out in the dark because my husband's still sleeping. I know everything in there is a good choice, it all fits, I look good in everything in there. It's a good feeling.
I don't buy clothes at all....if something is ripped or worn out once a year then only go for good quality clothes or only that much which would last me easily through the week and that's it...thanks God for everything and would like to charity instead❤
90 is tricky to do. Hell I had trouble doing 80/20 on my clothes the first time I attempted this. I love the amount of space I'll create in my closet with this selective wardrobe . I do feel I'll have to wash a lot more after doing this 😄...but ill give this another go
I would only throw away the unreparable, and then I would donate the clothes I tend to avoid. We shouldn't hold on to things we hate or can't use, but the percentage is unrealistic. I don't need to look great when I am cleaning, painting or not leaving the house.
@@JK-vc7ie You assume I'm a hoarder because I can't throw a lot of stuff out. I then assume that you've bought more stuff than you need, since you think it is realistic to throw 90% of stuff out. I try not to buy stuff unless I'm sure I'll use it, I'm a creative person with lots of finished projects, and when my dad died, he also left me with some stuff that I can't just rebuy, so 90% is too much for me, but it might not be too much for you. I have thrown some stuff out and I still own some and i'm not a minimalist nor a hoarder.
@@jamiececilielange5249 What you are saying and how you are saying it makes me think you are a hoarder. Every hoarder has lots of "reasons" why they have so much stuff and can't throw it away.
I have like 2 weeks on clothes. I when through it all and was like do I really wear it, if I didn’t I got ride of it. As for material items as well if they were in totes I when through and got ride of. So much easier
I have an addictive personality so of course when I'm out & about & if I've paid all my bills & have some spending money I'll buy some clothes or whatever for myself aka addictive to shopping 🛍 🤪
I’ve had this question before and still don’t have an answer, I’ve found that there are several types of clothes I tend to declutter, things I look good in but don’t like the look of, things I look good in but feel bad in, and things I like but don’t feel good in. So far it is basically a nice top that my skin is too sensitive for or an outfit my mother picked out for me that I refuse to wear, the one thing I can’t bring myself to declutter are things I look bad in but feel good in, should I declutter those as well and should I keep an outfit that my mother won’t lecture me about?
chocolate and ice cream are in the 90% of my favorite foods but that doesn’t work so well for me. I wish I could just eat chocolate and ice cream but, you know…
What do you wear at home or when you have to do things around your house or when you clean your car or your basement? A 250$ shirt because It has a score of 94/100? Wtf bro you need to have at least 5-10 old shirts that you wear at home and can get dirty
Me applying the 90% rule over and over until I have no clothes left
That means u need to change your shopping style. Don’t buy anything less than 100 in the first place. 😅
At least you’ll be happy
Nice loop ("because... using the 90% rule will make you a lot happier)! Very satisfying.
I feel like my scale changes from day to day.

Love it! Exactly 🎉
I think most people should just stop buying new things. Keep the things you have bought already and use them.

Great advice!
This sparks joy
I brought a pair of pajamas that are selectively warmer and it took care of my insomnia. 💯
I have bad insomnia. What is the material of the PJs? Or do you think it's the style (PJ shorts or whatever)?

What will I use for cleaning and painting???!🤔🤔🤔🤔
Overalls & jeans/clothes that you wouldn't dare wear outdoors

I know, right!? I wear clothes and don't wash until there's a huge bunch--too much. That's a terrible practice 😳 I am going to give this a go.
I look good 👍 in my stuff that's why I bought them😊
I would have nothing. Lol

Maybe you are a hoarder
@@JK-vc7ie Not at all. Your comment gives me the impression that you buy too much stuff. Maybe you are a buyer? A consumer?
@@jamiececilielange5249 That doesn't make sense. The goal is to have less stuff, not more stuff.

Useful tip! Ironically just picked up my phone to shop for clothes 😂 (probably don’t need them)
I don't like shorts because I can't add them to my playlists.
I can add them to mine. I'm using my phone. I hit the three dots. And one of the options that gets listed is the save to Playlist button
@@Daniel_Fellows I'm using my laptop to watch TH-cam.
It'll be in your history of watched videos, tap on the three dots and there should be an option to save to a playlist.
@@bambitopaz Thank you :)

2023 more shorts!

No decision fatigue!!!

Trying to stay the same weight helps me save!

I love this rule
Maybe put 70% else I am going to get rid of a lot of things :))
😂😂😂😂 after applying the 90% rule I'm left naked 😮😮
Because what??? finish the sentence dude 😆 🤣 😂 😹
I think I’m doing 90% of your channels comments or 80/20 rule.
BS. Some clothes are necessities and we can’t afford new wardrobes

Gabe is a 100 with NO shirt on, so I don’t know how he decides what to keep. Maybe there’s just a roll of Saran Wrap in there by the end.

Applying the 90% rule on this video. Nahhh! Let's skip this video 😅
if you rate these clothes 90+, you don’t have taste
