I love this series so much because it doesn’t lay out all of the key information for you in an easy-to-understand and streamlined way, the series feels like a puzzle is being unraveled throughout the course of the series and I feel like that makes the story telling so much better. One moment you think you know who the bad guys are then the next moment you could be second guessing yourself.

tell hus alchemy is like a old school form of chemistry... using "chemistry" to turn one materiel into another.. transform stuff at a chemical level.. ever heard of people in the past trying to turn iron into gold.. which failed.. lmao basically when u think of alchemy think of chemistry butt more "magical"
This is an interesting one. This show has an older version which goes into details, but ultimately goes off track into an anime exclusive ending because the manga wasn't done. This one doesn't explore some scenes as in depth as the first anime because it was already covered, but you get even more amazing fight choreography and more world expansion. I guess it's one of those shows that is best followed from the beginning because sometimes you don't want to sit through two versions of the same thing. Both versions have their strong points, though. I like how you guys are puzzling out all the things you're seeing. Even if you don't understand what you saw, you're making connections and voicing theories as they come to you. I like that. It makes more engaging as you verify some facts and revise other things as you learn more about the show. You guys tend to be really sharp and observant. You notice things and draw conclusions that I never did whenever I first watched some of these series.
That's why I still watch reactions to this show again and again, every one brings his own original and personal thoughts and completes the puzzle. Even after more than 10 times I still find interesting new comments ...
Before this series there was an anime called Full Metal Alchemist, Brotherhood is a reboot of the anime that this time follows the manga, So there are things that won't be explained right away and will seem fast pace because with some details they just assumed you watched the original. You don't need to watch the orginal to follow this at all, just telling you so you know why it seems so fast pace and why they don't always explain something right away.
Almost all the anime is fast paced, not just the part in common with FMA. It's most likely the manga which goes faster than the FMA anime, and FMAB has skipped material from the manga in general, not just the beginning of it.
We enjoying FMAB so far - glad it won over seven deadly sins! Because we started it and first episode they hit us with a strike! So stay away from that 💯

This show has a completely different feeling to other anime I’ve watched, it reminds me more of American shows like ATLA or LOK. It’s also the type of show you gotta pay close attention to because it’s pretty symbolic. It’s not my favorite but it’s one of the best I’ve watched.

Bruh.....Ya'll gonna love this. They use Alchemy, which is the science of deconstructing and reconstructing materials. Edward is special because he is able to perform Alchemy without a Transmutation Circle. Everybody else has to use a circle, and if you wreck the circle it will be game over for them. State Alchemist are the military of the country. The Furher is the King, and everyone follows his orders. To be a State Alchemist means that you are the best of the best, like a Navy Seal level of skill
A State Alchemist is just a master level alchemist. They have to perform some powerful type of alchemy to gain that level of authority. They basically are the law anywhere they go. Each State Alchemist gets a custom nickname from the Furher King Bradley. Edward got Fullmetal because he doesn't have his arm or leg anymore.
I personally prefer the 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist 1st episode due to its more intensity and extra details, and I would really recommend for you guys to just at least check-out the first episode where Al and Elrick are trying to do an alchemical circle in order to...I won't spoil it, but it's definitely worth a watch...of course it will be shown in the 2nd episode of the Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, but it's definitely optional to check it out... here's a comparison in-between FMA vs. FMAB during those scenes: th-cam.com/video/B_dw1Rzaing/w-d-xo.html | BUT DON'T WATCH IT UNTIL YOU HAVE WATCHED 2ND EPISODE!
