- Having access to clean and safe drinking water should not be a privilege but a right. This is enshrined in the Kenyan constitution which demands action and justice without apology. And yet so often, this basic guarantee is violated. This evening, k24 captures the pain and suffering of a community in Marsabit County that has been forced to live on poisoned waters. In a special report tonight, titled waters of death, dan kaburu takes us to the far reaches of Northern Kenya, where having a drink eventually lands you in a coffin.
Cyrus jirongo ,biwot n moi knew about this long time ago when it all started but it was swept under the carpet ...we lack accountability in this country
Woiyeee who will save our brother's and sisters from this region 😢😢😢 useless leaders
The leaders that they vote for
Very sad that people have to suffer due to government failure
@@MargauxNyambura but these people are the ones who voted
We have students in Kenya who can model the pollutant extents in this location but because of corruption we might go to our graves with this knowledge
The government of Kenya God is watching. The corrupt leaders Almighty God is never unaware of all this!
After getting this information what action will the government takes,? Just taking information and no action., so sad
The explaanations are so vague!! The pollutant is not bentonite, Radio active materials have to be researched. Flouride levels too. It might also signify a possible natural element in the ground
Fluoride, I highly doubt, because Central has high flouride levels too.
I think this region has radioactive materials and other elements we as Kenyans haven't even been told about.
The colonialists mapped out this whole region using Russian geologists in the 1950s, and that's why you see wazungu expanding 'wildlife' conservancies in these areas. Only gava knows what minerals are in these areas.
There is a lot of naturally occurring uranium around the region
They dumped nuclear wastes there 😢😢.. They'll be held accountable by God somedays 🙏🏽
I think this is serious problem and government need to Intervene
They left carcogenic materials and this has been happening in Yemen and other countries the companies are to blame yu should sue them for billions of dollars
the radioactive waste dumped decades ago.....its a forever problem, something needs to be done
SHAME ON KENYAN GOVERNMENT & THE LEADERS OF THIS AREAS. THIS SHOULD NOT BE THE LIFE IN TODAY'S KENYA.
my heart felt prayers to the people of the region. Karma is real
Unbearable pain, it's distressing, what needs to be done?
The leadership that they vote for needs to develop and upgrade the area
😢
the worst part is that it takes almost all your life.
Like and share the video, for the video to get the attention it deserves
True 😢
this is sad !
💔💔💔
Where is the County Government and shame on you with your 4x4's.......help your community and people. Where is the Central Government......put money where it's needed
First lady Mama Rachel's will go there to perform a miracle, and everyone will be healed from cancer🙏🏽
Are you serious????Eti miracles, these people need clean water and the government should do the necessary. Please stop talking about miracles in everything because am sure you have access to clean water
@@MargauxNyambura just being ironic I guess
@@MargauxNyambura I know him, he was just being sarcastic.
The journalist should work with the locals who know the locations where the poison was deposited in Kargi, Maikona and Kalacha chalbi desert region. All the locals who worked as casuals are all known and alive.
