Thanks for the reply, I was on that beach Wednesday morning, Jan 20th. Due to the somewhat stormy weather, there were only a few people there. For the first two days I stayed at an Air property in town across from the food market and taco stands. For the next three nights, I stayed at Barria Negro, which is a bit south of town. Nice place, great large pool and yard area, big modern rooms. Cost me @bout $50. Not many people there. The best part was its proximity across the street from Gypsea Market - an organic food store and wine shop. There was also a nice cafe bakery in this complex, a wine shop/cafe, and a work shared space called Digital Jungle. Also, a short bike ride away on 307 were two decent cenotes - Escondido and Christina.
Loved vacationing there. Aguasanta Tulum is where I stayed. With private pools , it’s way cheaper then the hotel zone and 10 min bike ride to the beach.

They do have entrances to public beaches, you just needed to know where they are. Mostly by the north side of the strip, closest to the ruins. As someone commented here, Playa Paraiso is one of the most well known public beaches in tulum

Awesome cenote and the beach is beautiful as well. It’s like a catch 22 with certain beaches. I’m not a huge fan of paying to visit a beach myself but in a way it prevents it from getting over crowded but on the other hand the resorts reap the benefits in revenue. It’s like that here in New Jersey as well. This is why I love visiting Aruba, all the beaches are public. Great video nonetheless 👍🏻 #jumpingplaces #mexico #tulum
Yeah I think the biggest issue is it basically removes all the locals that actually live there, since they wont be paying no crazy prices like that. We really need to check out Aruba, on our list!
@@JumpingPlaces I’m sure your list of places to visit is long but you two would love Aruba. Great beaches, awesome restaurants, pretty good snorkeling, and lots of things to see and do. It can be pricey but there tons of Air BnB options and local food spots. Traveling around the island is really simple if you rent a car. The island is small and you can literally see all the major attractions in a day or two. Continue to enjoy your adventure planning and stay safe!!!
Well, as you know Gabriel Traveler beat you to the punch but I like your vid better because of the fine drone work and vid of the cenote. You're right, Tulum is WAY overpriced due to it being the anointed "it" place. I remember it when it was nothing but a trip to the ruins. It's a shame that they haven't provided public access to the beaches, another example of profiteering.
Gabes beat us to everywhere haha. Yeah Tulum is unfortunately going in the wrong direction even though we really enjoyed our stay there, cant imagine how it will be in 5-10 years time!
Oh my... So much misinformed. I'm everywhere typing the same thing. The beaches in Mexico are not private and if they tell you that's incorrect. Just let the beach club know you are going to the beach that's all. Free access no fee.
@@lolal3853 if you watch gabriel travelers recent video in tulum you will actually see that even when he was on a beach a security guard came and told him its private and asked him to leave. I know they are not private, I even said in the video that they are all public. But if tourists go to the hotels and beach clubs and they say you have to pay then what can you do. Sure you can get into a discussion with them about laws e.t.c... but the reality is why should a tourist have to go through that to get to a beach on their beach vacation?
@@JumpingPlaces I've watched some of Gabriel's videos including this one where he was asked to leave. There are a few cases they will ask you to leave, they can't do that by law. You don't need to get in an argument or upset,it's all just communication everywhere you go. That's all.
Public access to beaches in most countries are supposed to be protected by law but a lot of places seem to completely disregard the law due to corruption. I am glad you brought up this extremely important issue in your review which is starting to become an epidemic in a lot of places because it not only effects the tourists but also the locals. I also encourage others when leaving a review on other sites to reflect this.

@@JumpingPlaces I think $1,300 USD per night is on the CHEAPER end there (and VERY oversimplified, with no air conditioning, no wi-fi signal, or even ELECTRICITY in all of their "exposed" suites.) Only mosquito nets and candle light after dark to keep a very "natural, rustic" vibe/theme WITHOUT those basic amenities, of course. (Let the rich blow their money on that. Most visitors go there to book dinner reservations and/or enjoy a drink and explore the comfortable lounge/tropical grounds.)

Just saying you should mention or be more specific so your viewers don't get misinformed.
Nice video great place to relax and enjoy with the love on specialy during the Valentines day
I have been to the Gran Cenote, it is a nice place.
Cool vid, loved the caves, the beach looked wonderful, I’m so pleased you didn’t pay to get on it, made me smile and happy for you both, 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Can you give us an idea some type of marker where that access point for the big beach 🏖
Not too sure where it was on a map but if you are riding in there you should be able to clearly see the fence on the left
Your underwater shots are great! I have the GoPro8 too.
I love it!
What a beautiful place. Very El Nido-ish. Great footage. Love Carols' new bikini. 😍
What was the name of the place from which you could enter the beach?
Amazing place 😍 we looking forwards to the next vid which once a so nice without doubts 👍👋👋
Thank you! 😃
For the footage, what camera did you use? Thanks in advance!
I was considering buying a condo in Tulum for rental, but I heard there is a deteriorating gang and shooting issue, things are getting more expensive and the beaches are pretty much become all private. What do you think?
Nice video. Awesome beach Mexico.
try Punta Allen..may need a 4x4 depending on road condition
😎Grande Denote is for Sure. A Wonder of the World, No doubt!🤗🍓
The location does help but 1st class photography/video on this episode... nice work 🏅
Hi, Is the camera you're using to record this video the GoPro Hero 7? The quality is amazing. Thank you for all the information you guys are sharing, it's very helpful.
thx for a good honest and informed take on Tulum.. not being blinded by the beauty and romance of it all,..some of us are relocating, and unfortunately, Tulum is now off the list.
Wow! 😲 The beach! So beautiful!
😁👍
I love your new content, I watched all your videos. Thanks for the tour.
From the Philippines. Miss u guy's
Hey guys, you can try the beach of Akuma it is free.
Good video..If you had only one choice ...will you go with the Philippines or Mexico ???? Also , for your videos , can you get higher resolution....( 2160 P60 HD)
Would still be the Philippines probably, but its a very similar travel vibe we think... especially since both were colonized by the Spanish too
@@JumpingPlaces I agree I have been to both of them .More fun in the Philippines.
The people in the Philippines is awesome too
Bicycling is the best way to see most places,be a part of your world!! 😊 🚲
Incredible cinematography. As good as it gets.
Thanks!
Thank you for sharing honestly experience. I decided no go for Tulum. Been there once for Cenote and Ruins.Love the beach but if no access to public beach ?
I can't wait to watch the Bacalar video !
Coming this weekend hopefully! There will be two :D
You guys have the same kind of vibe as my husband and I. We live in the Florida Keys. Have you ever traveled to Florida and are you familiar with the Keys? Take it easy ✌️
Only went there for a few hours to Pensacola, we actually have a old video of it on our channel. We were in New Orleans so we drove there to see the amazing white beaches and we were super impressed!
@@JumpingPlaces awesome, I actually lived in Pensacola for about a year, almost ten years ago now. But the Florida Keys are at the very bottom of Florida, look them up, Key Largo, Marathon, Key West.
@@JumpingPlaces Amazing Snorkeling, Kayak, Jet Ski, it’s completely incredible. Your hobbies are the same as ours so I know you guys would love it. If you guys ever decide to visit, we will show you around.
I truly appreciate all the effort & $$$ you've put into your equipment. Your videos are stunning, crisp and so colorful, plus I can always hear you. You are both such beautiful and mellow explorers 💞🏝🎶
Thats so awesome! I've been really wanting to visit the Florida Keys!
beautiful 👍🏻 crystal water 💫🌏👋❤️👏
insane views. Which camera u are guys using to film underwater?
Lets see, maybe this year?! We might just end up sticking around the americas all this year due to the situation but still no concrete plans yet
@@JumpingPlaces yeah for sure 👍🏻
Always so good. Nice videos
Great to see you. Water In Gran Cenote is ideal clear. This place is absolutly amazing like yours relation
Sure you can get into a discussion with them about laws e.t.c... but the reality is why should a tourist have to go through that to get to a beach on their beach vacation?
th-cam.com/video/CSUTZvWtrwI/w-d-xo.html prime example here
@@JumpingPlaces
I've watched some of Gabriel's videos including this one where he was asked to leave.
There are a few cases they will ask you to leave, they can't do that by law.
You don't need to get in an argument or upset,it's all just communication everywhere you go.
That's all.
Looks Amazing
Great video! I’m going to Tulum next month and I got some tips from this!
Good luck!!
which camera did you use?
It's really beautiful places
Wow!!! loved the turtles and fantastic video and truly the place is amazing! Take care.
Glad you enjoyed it
the place looks like philippines, 👍keep safe both of you nice rocks,,,
Public access to beaches in most countries are supposed to be protected by law but a lot of places seem to completely disregard the law due to corruption. I am glad you brought up this extremely important issue in your review which is starting to become an epidemic in a lot of places because it not only effects the tourists but also the locals. I also encourage others when leaving a review on other sites to reflect this.
Azulik is the most iconic world famous eco resort in that part of the world. I can’t imagine seeing it and not knowing what I was seeing. If you find yourself in Paris that big metal thing is called “The Eiffel Tower” 😏
Love your channel! Keep up the good work
Had no idea haha
@@JumpingPlaces definitely check it out online. It’s a content creators dream. You’ll be happy to visit when you go back to Tulum. It is definitely on our bucket list.
We are binge watching your channel. Love your content. You guys are very cool!
@@SchmoopsAdventures
Yeah, I'm everywhere typing the same thing lol....
Not hating on @Jumping Places but kinda not informed or misinformed and to the viewers too.
They need to explore more and explore a bit more of the culture and traditions in Mexico.
And explore more places in the area, lots to see and do.
@@oscarlugo8761 it’s definitely not for everyone however the eco resort concept is very popular in Tulum.
wow s0ooooo very beautiful place to unwind ⚘😘
What is temp of that water?
Did you get that cute sarong thing in yucatan??
