But AM had to build it: people want over-sized behemoths that take up too much space on the roads, blind everyone else with their high headlights, endanger their occupants, other car users and pedestrians in a crash, and have far more power than they can handle. They come up with all sorts of electronic trickery to compensate for the height and weight, but how much better would it handle (and ride) if it was a saloon/estate?
Yeah I’m very surprised. Not convinced by the ducktail back end on an SUV but overall it’s good looking for bus.
Rear three quarter angle is the best! Looks better in stealthy grey than the chrome/red on jww channel
First of all I watched your video first. I was in the fence about it until I watched the Top Gear video on it, the spec on that one is just gorgeous. The Bentayga should never have existed, just hideous. There’s a lady down the road from me that has a mint/sea foam green one, I dare you to find a more hideous Bentayga than that one. lol

Great passionate review and I think they’ve hit the bullseye. Bentayga / Ulrus are VW’s in drag. Fair play to Aston for creating a bespoke platform from scratch.
I have to wait until I see it in person. Hated it at first, lately I’ve been giving it a second look. I liked the Lagonda Concept of 2009.

To my eyes, this is the best iteration of their post DB11 design language and kinda of a throwback to their 90-00's design.

Compared to the heavily camouflaged test mule that was on show at The Sunday Scramble earlier thus year, this looks really good.
It makes a bold and evocative statement for the brand, it really looks like an Aston Martin. Some are going to love it. Some are going to detest it - and if is important that it polarises opinion in this way - great brands should provoke an emotional response. The worst thing would have been for them to create a car that offended no one, but which also no one particularly loved. Indifference is the enemy of success, and judging from the other comments, the response is not indifferent. Good luck Aston, I hope it soars.

The car guys is the first of the videos I'd watch on a new car, they will actually give their honest opinion Evey time. Absolutely love the DBX, I'd buy it. Aston is my favourite brand for what they are producing at this current time.

Although I saw the carfection review first I clicked on yours immediately afterwards to get your perspective and wasn’t disappointed. I was a little surprised about the performance figures but it’s a great looking car and hopefully you can get hold of one soon to reveal its driving dynamics. I am sure we will all wish we could own one.

That could have gone horribly wrong from an aesthetics point of view, however I think they've done a decent job in the grand scheme of things! Much better resolved than some other premium brands efforts!

I thought this would be a good looker, Marek Reichman and his team never disappoint on the design end of it at least , the guy is up their with the great Gordon Murray in my opinion . I think you're right , that will take sales across the board from the other competitors ..... and it's even got some character and charisma about it , can't say that about many cars these days . 👍

Heavily based on the new Vantage, I actually like this though. Not bad for an SUV, they've done well. Hopefully these things help finance better, uncompromised sports cars.

Easily the best SUV on the market (soon to be!). Aston Martin have hit the golden pot with this! The DBX is perfect and I want one! This is the Premier SUV out there, epic!

I was ready to laugh...until I saw it. It looks great. The styling is a bit of everything but still manages to look like an Aston. Needs a 'hot' version AND an electric version to be a success in the future. If they lend me one i'll happily drive it around Beijing for Aston...for free lol.

For that kind of money I expected 0-60 in 3.8 to 3.9s. This is very GT and should border on performance to really get the buyers to secure interests

Yep agreed. They really dropped the ball with the new Vantage after what was probably and still is one of the best looking cars of all time.
The week this was unveiled Aston Martin's share price jumped 10%,
I think that tells you all you need to know about if this SUV was a good idea or not.
The Lamborghini Urus is their best selling car already.
Aston Martin need the DBX to stay in business.

At $190+k per DBX, buy two Land Rover Velars and keep the change of about $40,000 /grin ; very nice styling - should have 5 yr warranty & maintenance included, similar to Jaguar.

Well if some car will have a broken radiator this will be a strong contender, mirrors do also look way to big a like they came from some other car. I´m not an fan of the SUV trend, but i´m afraid it will sell in loads.

The LED's at the front take too much attention from the front. The tail lights look strange on this model. Other than that its okay, I guess.

We'll see. I'm better yes. If people bought the Bentley in droves (which they did) - I think this will be like like catnip to potential SUV purchasers.
TheCarGuys.TV - I get that but how many luxury SUV buyers are there in a world drowning in debt. As an ex finance guy I would rather buy physical assets as when the financial collapse happens (as it will because 100% of fiat currencies eventually collapse) these vehicles will be totally worthless?

I live in Australia. From now until late March it will be very hot. If you drive this DBX 90 minutes out of any of our cities it would melt. There is no way this SUV can take on our extreme terrain .

The front and bonnet looks like a DB9 on steroids. I like the rear and reminds me of a duck tail.
Been a shocking year for AM, hopefully the strategy will preserve this iconic brand. The car is FUGLY, like most SUVs, but will no doubt sell reasonable numbers in an increasingly crowded space, regardless of potential for horrific depreciation.
Where does this fit in though ?
I just don’t think it can compete in any of the classes. Q8, GLE, X7, Range Rover Sport/Vogue are all cars which cost less than the Aston but outclass it in every single aspect. The interior looks 2012, not 2020. And I don’t think we even have to think about comparing it to the Urus or the Cullinan. Dbx is gonna end up just like the Maserati Ghibli. Leasing offers for around 6 to 8 hundred quid
Well, if Aston Martin fails with this, the company will officially go downhill. When Ferrari will drop also the Purosangue SUV, basically every brand will be a segment contender so the possibility to sell a lot of them in the future will not be so high.
After seeing this I feel the front grill reveals too much of the radiator
For me large cars should have seven seaters where all rows can move forwards and backwards and give option to take out all rear seats leaving just a two seater
I think car companies have no creativity they appear to copy and slightly improve things but never stand alone
But a better looking car than Audi Porsche Bentley and Rolls variants
