He has a enchanting smile.I particularly liked his superb acting in “Tears in heaven.” Tiffany Tang is a great actress who caught my attention in her part in “ The Liar n the lady.” The main stars have a great chemistry. I look forward to watching this drama.

I am watching this drama a second time. This has got to be the best of the dramas released in 2020 and first quarter of 2021 - and I had watched most of the good ones. Such a refreshing difference - Khitan costumes, culture, architecture, transport. The drama evoked a whole range of different emotions and has an outstanding cast.
Male lead made me watch Princess Agents. He is too fit for the screens. Female lead was wonderful as Weiyoung in Princess Weiyoung series. Literally me favourites coming together just gave me an excuse to put my studies on a hold just for tonight.
I loved Charmaine Sheh in Yanxi palace. She played the progression of a pure person turning into a scheming mastermind and the moment she snaps is perfect. She acts so beautifully. I look forward to her performance in this drama.

Looks like this is a great series with a fantastic cast! They have some of the best actors/actresses from all over the world! And the plot is developing quite well already with good sets, scenes & lighting.
It is indeed a fantastic series... the weakest of the main leads is possibly Tang Yan, but even she didn't do too bad a job. And I think the ending is good or nicely wrapped up (unlike some drama series that leaves the audience hanging in the air with a 🙄😑).

If you are fond of betrayals, then this drama is for you, if you're not, then I can guarantee you that you'd be cut up and grieved by watching this drama.. Right now, I can't say I enjoyed it, from the moment they separated Yanyan and Derang, I was so vexed, and such feeling accompanied throughout the drama.. A lovely couple that got engaged was deprived of the opportunity to share the love and happiness they had for one another by an immoral emperor..

This is a bitter sweet story ,based on true facts from the 1600hundreds.The characters in the story are very well brought to life by the great actors,Shaun Dou, Tiffany Tang,Charmaine Sheh,Jing Chao,naming just a few..How a young 14 year old girl was married to an emperor at his command,to become his absolute property,albeit through time ,she becomes a remarkable empress.For the fictional side of the story,this brings many tears as it’s about the great love between Derang and Yan Yan and how they are broken apart, just before their marriage by the new emperor,who insists on taking his best friends woman as his Queen.What happens,well I’m hooked ,to find out.I think I will need plenty of tissues,but I’m loving the fabulous insight into life of the peoples of this time

I'm glad the main lead character is from one of the many tribes within China. It display their culture and live style. I wish more chinese drama would incorporate other tribes into film because China consist of over 50+ ethics and not just Han Chinese.
