@@Tchika thanks y'all, although my body was badly burned with 3 different skin graphs and years of physical therapy, nerve damage, no feeling In most of my left arm, still have limited mobility, I was lucky in that i didn't get badly burned on my face - unlike many of the people I became friends with during my stay in the UVA burn center. I still think about those people, many children. When I meet someone randomly at a store or something and they're burned I feel like once I show them my burns we instantly click. They open up and feel like we had been friends for years. When someone who hasn't been burned asks _"what happened to your skin?"_ you often feel a bit ashamed by it, even if their intentions aren't to poke fun. You can sometimes feel like an outcast. Everyone's different but 99% of the time they're relieved to find out you went through the horror that they went through and not simply gawking at their disfigurement.

As an animal care attendant, I can commiserate. We have rescued cats and dogs from our CA fires and it is heartbreaking when any of them don't make it. The sadness is tempered by all the ones we were able to reunite with their owners, or get adopted into forever homes. Seeing all the vet wrap on this little koala brings back sadness but also memories for those saved, and how, regardless of outcome, they all spent their time with us in comfort, and were cared for by our team and the volunteers. I am happy this one was able to have that. Rest in peace, little dude.❤❤❤❤❤❤

Unfortunately they ended up euthanizing the poor Koala. I read it in the news soon after. I cried so much. I was so angry they didn't let it fight. He was eating and everything.

I actually think it was a moment of pain from walking over the flame that he then nearly sat on. Poor guy just had no idea what was causing his agony

Малыш ушёл на радугу! Его усыпили, чтобы избавить от страданий. А женщина просто герой! Не побоялась пойти по тлеющей земле,чтобы спасти медвежонка! И переживала за него, ездила в госпиталь! Пока есть такие люди, на земле будет жить любовь!
