I think it should be enough if you are making over 10.000 a year. Because if you are making under it you dont need to pay taxes. and in order for you to get your PR you need to pay taxes
To add to that, you are legally not allowed to have a work student contract after you finish your studies. You can however work as a mitarbeiter for limited period of time

Ku Mar just check on the official site of the university or its Wikipedia page...if it says public university or german state recognised than you can aply

Out of the 4 points in the aufenthaltgesetz there is no mention of B1 certificate . I am not sure if that’s mandatory .
When you go to the clauses of point 4, they asked for "ausreichend Deutsch Sprachkenntnisse" which equates to B1 or higher.
