I used to work at Peugeot.. the Newer timing tool locks into the vacuum pump, also clean the little filter in the vacuum pump becuse bits of belt go in that too and will cause a hard brake pedal
Great to see you back Phil, I’ve missed your videos, my Friday night late viewing hasn’t been the same lol. This looks to be a great car, hope it is a quick easy repair for you❤.
Hey, ive just bought a grandland from copart with pretty much the same damage on the front bumper.. 😅 just wondering if there is any chance you still have the part numbers for all the bits on the bumper that you got? 🙏 really love the channel by the way
Anyone would think manufacturers dont want these engines to last i can`t think why lol. From the timing chain issues of 2015 16 ish now to wet belt failures its really bad. Great video as always now the next owner can be assured its sorted.
Nice to see you back Phil,I always enjoy seeing your videos,I’m looking for a automatic for my son three grand or so ,small one just to get started if you come across something, drop me a message.
How did the new owner get the car. You. Buy, Fix--Repair the Car, Then state it'ts Sold. How did the vehicle sell before you released video. This has Hapend few times.
Great to see you again, Phil. Good call on the wet belt. The new owner will really benefit from that. Looks like the previous owner ran out of talent and drove off road!
I've got 2 kits for doing these Phil , both off eBay , one locking both cams and crank through flywheel, and the other locks the far cam and remove the brake pump it locks the cam through that recess, I always change the crank bolt and crank seal as well , cracking motor for the new owner
Hi Phil, On first glance this appears to be a great car. These wet belt engines are the worst invention in automotive history! Fait play to you for changing the belt, at least it gives the new owner peace of mind for another 40k miles. 👍😎
Grandland are rubbish, had a new one and sent it back after 3 months! Top spec and very very basic. Couldn’t understand why the power tailgate could not be opened from inside the car. Seeing as it’s basically a Peugeot 3008 which I also owned I was amazed how much technology has been removed compared to the 3008. Plus the biggest problem I found was the steering wheel stalks are set too high up, almost at 1 o’clock and 11 o’clock which, is not where your hands are when driving..
Great to see you back Phil. I'm sure your audience will appreciate one-off videos.
Really good fun engines, and so easy to change the wet belts
The bonus footage on the end was the making of this video. Nice to see you back.
What about the damaged / crushed lower transverse aluminium crash bar? surely you changed that?
Top man changing that wet belt. Gives the next owner peace of mind.
Great to see you back, Phil. Nice work. Thank you 👍🏻
Nice to see you back mate. Keep em videos coming .

Great to see you back on your channel Phil. I like the new style of longer videos and getting it all done on one video.
Begs the question as to why this vehicle was written off?? Good for you though Phil 👍
Well done
Since the French bought Vauxhall, the reliability is very poor
Nice to see you back, it's an Astra jacked up but you're better off with a 1.4 petrol turbo than a 1.2 Peugeot engine.
……never seen you for 4 months Phil 🤷♂️ You OK brother ? 🙏🏻
Great to see you again, Phil. Good call on the wet belt. The new owner will really benefit from that. Looks like the previous owner ran out of talent and drove off road!
Been ages since we've seen you .
Oil and Rubber don't mix, wtf is wrong with a timing chain?
Nice car
10/10 for you're dent man he did excellent getting that out
Nice one Phil more cars' please 👍👍
Good job Phil

Good job cheers mate
Great job
Very enjoyable video Phil my daughter not long had a Grandland that colour I keep checking the wet belt for her so far so good thou 👍
Lovely car, but I would have reservations about that engine.
Great video Phil, nice to see the wet belt getting done. Super little car for someone with a fair bit of peace of mind ! Keep up the good work 👍
Nice 2 see you buddy

Great video,
Very nice fix, I've heard loads about wet belts so definitely not an engine I would have in a car.
Is. The Kia up for sale?
You're making this look like quite an easy thing to do!
nice one Phil
Nice alfa near the end
Does that engine sound ok
Enjoyed that Thank you
Worse thing ever, is those wet belts.
You did well to change that belt Phil. Much longer and that would have become a problem.
Wet belt !!!!! New belt aint worth the sh*t. Sell at cost or break it, be kind to your fellow man and save some other poor sod the pain.
Whatever was the idea with wetbelts
Whoever thought dipping a belt in engine oil which tends to heat up everytime you drive...definitely need their heads examined
Great video im trade myself its hard work at the moment with low good stock, as your doing mucker its going the extra mile that sells them
£180 for a bit of plastic is crazy
that belt for the mileage was terrible
She's a runner

Had a 19 plate 1.2 nav. Needs bigger engine for size of car.
Pure teck engine very bad engine as with most of the vauxhall these days
Pure dreck engine!
Because there Peugeot engines
