Great abstract look, impressed by your motivation going out when your sick. Your effort today has motivated me to get off the sofa and go to work, thanks.
Beautiful and inspiring as always. And thank you for the extra bonus of the waves, sound, light. Even the smell of the beach came through. Nice way to start the morning.
Very interesting subject. I saw that kind of winter glare the other day at Rodeo beach. You did a great job capturing it and interpreting it. I saw a painting of yours at studio gallery with fishing boats that had a similar glare. I really loved that painting. Take care of your throat! Honey, lemon and ginger said my grandma☺️. Add rum said my grandpa
I don't want to give up on myself or my dreams. There's still so much I'd like to experience. 🌊 Goodnight Michael, thanks for the beautiful and inspiring material.
As creative people we have to keep going. It can be discouraging at times but if you stay true to yourself, and don’t stop, you’ll go on an amazing journey. Sometimes when I’m at a loss for what to do next, I ask myself “what’s one SMALL step I can take?” Once you’ve taken that small step you’ll notice that other possibilities present themselves. Take another small step and keep repeating. 😊
@chamberlainpaintings Thank you so much for your words of wisdom and encouragement 🥹❤️ You are absolutely right! Step by step..I won't forget it 😊 Small steps are better than NO steps!
I couldn't help but whistle Deep Purple when I read 'Glare on water' and sure enough ultramarine blue with alizarin crimson...spooky stuff. Great painting Michael, get well soon!
I really love the concept of your painting: painting an effect of light rather than subjects. Sorry to hear about voice going out. But thanks for pushing through it to get a video out for us. Hopefully you will get better soon.
Thanks for giving us your time and sharing your skills, it just so happens I’ve been hunting for inspo for sparkly sea paintings so how timely is this 👍, you sound a lot like JFK at the moment 😉
So sorry to hear about your laryngitis, but I'm struggling through the same damn thing. I developed faitgue, lost my voice, and my wife has been keeping me inside, so I haven't painted. Glad to see you could get outside to paint. I hope you recover quickly.
Good morning Michael, glad you’re on the mend. In your block-in, how come you chose the dark purple for the sand? Aside from enjoying watching you paint, I also appreciate the scene (and sounds) at the end of the videos. Hope you’re back to normal soon.
Good morning Miriam. I initially chose purple because I was seeing hints of purple in the wet sand. I decided to warm up the sand color to make for a better painting. In reality the sand was closer to blue or purple.
Thanks for leaving the beach for us at the end. Great video.
I thought the sand on the shore had looked bad but with the final scene I think it helped to understand the perspective of the painting 🌊🖼️👏

Great painting! You're a star to give a tutorial with a scratchy throat. Get better soon🤗

What a treat! Glad you are feeling better☀️Sunshine will help heal. Loved the purple that you left- really added to the piece.

A very difficult scene but you did a great job of it. Turned out really nice.

Nice painting. You are a trooper to be out there when you not up to par. Thanks for another great video
Great example of how to use values to get the desired effect of light and glare.
Feel better real soon. Thanks for what you do.

This turned out splendid! I hope you can take it easy and get some rest today!
