Bro you have made my day right now. Good shit and thank goodness for others too who need help with mixing on drums.
Happy to help! Hell, I’m still learning at lot of this stuff myself. Just go back to some of my videos from only a few months ago, drums sound like crap. As I continue to learn new mixing skills, I’ll continue sharing. Thanks for watching!
Dude, you have no idea how insanely helpful this was. Not only were your settings incredible to just drop in a mix, but I just learnt how to think about drums in so many different ways. Thank you! Subscribed.
Awesome, glad it was so helpful! 🤘
F+++ yeah, dude!
Thanks for the video Im about to redo my entire mix and this helps alot
No reverb bus? That reverbish sound comes only to the rooms and the GGD itself? wow
The rooms, in my opinion, are the most important part of the drums. Yes, kick and snare drive the overall sound/rhythm/feel but without a good room sound and the right processing, it all falls apart.
@@JeremyFoxMusic Agreed! Then the reverb it's mainly the own of room sound that what we hear on this case? Amazing sound bro! I have to give a try to GGD libraries
Would you do video with OKW metal ??
Dumb question but when you create your instrument tracks with the multi outputs do you use stereo or mono?
Pretty sure they’re all stereo but I’d have to double check.
When i click the icon for separating samples into the mixer, it isn't showing the option for outputs. . .just info, keyboard and quick load. What do i need to do? :O
what confuses me is do you mix thru ggd invasion mixer or the daw?
hey there, its kind of an old video i hope you still look at this, but do you have any idea why the output routing might not work for me? i add all the outputs down below and name them, but when i want to pick them for example the output Kick for the kick, they dont show up, it just says st.1 and thats all
Hit the ! button in the top right of Kontakt. It refreshes the plugin to recognize the newly named outputs.
@@shredericks thank you!
I noticed your setting on your parallel drum bus. Can you go into any detail?
If your referring to my “Drum Reverb Bus” then this video covers the details on how I set that up: th-cam.com/video/w1eLoRxEvlE/w-d-xo.html
If you’re referring to something else, let me know and I’ll put something together for you. 🤘
@@JeremyFoxMusic all I can see is where it says 0.4s Sn…
A problem I'm having in Kontakt is I've made the outputs in the outputs section and renamed them, however back up in GGD Invasion its still only showing st .1 in the drop down output menu at the bottom of all the different snare, kick etc rather than the outputs i just made. how do i get them to appear in the GGD dropdown menus like you have?
You have to click the exclamation point top right corner next to NI logo
@@blastbeats5000 worked it out, had to close ggd and reopen it and everything was updated
Ive had invasion for over a year and didnt even know there were presets. Where do i find them?
They’re in a menu within Kontact. Don’t recall exactly what the menu option is but it’s near the top center of the Kontact UI. I’ll show this in the next weekly what’s new coming this weekend.
Cymbols 😹
Hey Jeremy, thank you for the awesome video!
On your drums I really like the way you have that template set up, do you mind sharing your template or explaining your drum bus set up?
think I figured it out...track stack
You're welcome, glad you liked it! Yes, it's a track stack. Specifically, it's a summing stack so that the output of each track is routed to a bus, then from the bus to the main out. 👍
