This series is one of the most inspiring I have seen in terms of sailing NZ

Thanks John, that is very kind of you. Since this trip we have been busy getting Amélie ready to go offshore so I hope to post some more videos soon.

So looking forward to taking our yacht down to Fiordland! Really enjoying these videos. The sandflies look as though they might be a challenge though

Don’t worry about the sandflies, they were much less of a problem than we anticipated - just take plenty of repellant and few yards of netting and tape and you’ll be good as gold. Where are you based?

Wow Folks! I gotta go back there again, I missed so much great stuff. Thanks so much for sharing all this. I've just binge watched the first two parts, really looking forward to the rest. Cheers 😃

Hi there Sailing Taranto, great to hear from you, as we followed your journey around the South Island a few years back and really enjoyed your story. Might see you out on the water some time!

@@jrtxk Thank you, oh it would be wonderful to be able to return to NZ and my faithful Taranto! But alas the gates are repeatedly slammed in my face. One day when the NZ Govt sees fit to allow the rest of us to return, I may get the opportunity to see you folks on the water. That would be great. Meanwhile Port Pegasus in part 4 was epic! Love the reflections. I really must go back, that wilderness looked superb, I'm inspired! Cheers.

Hi there. It is a Wauquiez Centurion 41S. Built in 1996. My later videos show some more details of Amelie.
