How sad that 746 people watched this and only 23 can be bothered to press like! Excellent thanks, and now I don't feel I have to see Port Pegasus in person.
I am so impressed how our country looks, especially with the quality of photographer. With a drone it give a different perspective, and shows us part of nZ we din't normally see. That's made it worth watching the whole series so far. Blue.
Yes, we did tour the S Island. We hauled out in Nelson, and rented a car. It was interesting, but not the same as sailing. We are 80 years old now, and sail on a lake in SC once or twice every week. Years ago, we also cruised the East Coast of the US and the Carribean. We ALMOST stayed in NZ in 1981, but we had our young son with us and family back here. About 5 years ago we flew to NZ to find and thank the many people who were so kind and generous to us on our two sailing visits, and luckily found them alive and well!
Our steel keel just touched bottom overnighting in Loads river. Board sound what an amazing place. 1 month in Stewart island 2001 before entering 18 of the 22 Ford's Im 74 now and looking back what a privilege it was to circumnavigate the south island.
Excellent videos, thank you. Wife and sailed to NZ from E coast of US (twice) many years ago. We sailed around the N Island on our second trip, but not the south. Love your work, and still photos are incredible! NZ has the finest PEOPLE in the world!
Thanks, that is very kind and sorry you didn’t get down and around the South Island. Credit to Jude for the still photos! Hope you are still sailing, I presume you are based on the E coast of the US?
Amazing trip! Want to do it with my kids too!
