In The BBT, when Howard's mother died, Sheldon comforted him by saying that when his own father died, he did not have friends to help him through it, and Howard did. That should be a clue as to how it will go with Sheldon.

Never could reconcile the Georgie in Young Sheldon (Montana Jordan) with the Georgie in the Big Bang Theory (Jerry O'Connell). Short and thin, Jordan never fit the role for me. I won't be watching a spin-off.
Episode 12 of Young Sheldon Season 7 had me balling my eyes out for hours after watching and also broke my heart, soul and spirit. The final 3 episodes has to be the most saddest and gut-wrenching in comedy sitcom history. RIP George Cooper Sr. 🙏
Fantastic show with fantastic writing. We knew Sheldon’s dad died even before the first episode of Young Sheldon (if you watched Big Bang) but it was amazing how the writers had it culminate so impactfully after 7 seasons. I’m eager to follow Georgie and Mandy (and CC) on the spin off of the spin off but I was very disappointed to see that none of the other characters (family members) will be a part of the new series. Regan (Missy) was my favorite character. Her snarkiness was the perfect balance to Sheldon’s “nerdiness.”
I am never ready for this. I’ve known that this will come even before the show started. But I’m never ready for this. My heart is so heavy just hearing about it. It’s so close to home.
I believe they could of had a few more episodes after the death of George. They could have shown how Georgie stepped up to help his Mother and Sissy through the grief. I would have loved to see more of the show.
I think it was the actors and writers strikes that prevented that from happening. The writing and shooting of season 7 all started so late in 2023. So a shortened season 7 was necessary. I too would have preferred a few more episodes this season. Though I don't know how much more time would have been spent dwelling on George's death. Perhaps the writers chose to 'rip the band-aid off' and move on. Young Sheldon was supposed to be a sit-com; though in my mind it will always be a dramady.
The end of TBBT was hard to accept as Sheldon is IMHO the best TV character ever created in sitcom history. The show made nerdiness/geekdom part of the Zeitgeist. As someone who grew up loving science, math, video games, computers, etc. - I felt like the world finally caught up to me in the character of Sheldon. I am sure the Young Sheldon finale will be emotional for me as well as there are now 20 years invested in seeing the different stages of life with this character. We all knew this was coming, but we are still not ready for it. Lorre and Molinaro will likely be regarded as the greatest sitcom team in TV history with what they have created with the universe of Sheldon Cooper.
You know there's not many shows that I can watch and just forget about all the crap going on in the World today. But watching Young Sheldon did that for me. I loved all the characters on the show and that doesn't happen very often for me. I know it's just a tv show but I'm going to miss this show almost like a good friend. 😢
I have watched The Big Bang from almost the beginning, but Young Sheldon with his entire family was real. How he was coddled by his mother well by everyone. I will miss George he was my favorite Flawed like most of us. Good Bye Young Sheldon ❤
The belief on Sheldons mind that his father cheated was wrong. Sheldon didn't know about imtimate role playing games, and Mary was the one with George when Sheldon walked in They didn't notice him. Mary had brought back a Heidi style Barvaian outfit and was saying " Do you think your wife will find out?" In a German accent. Hence, Sheldon's incorrect belief that George cheated and his 3 door knocks!!!!!!!!
@@loreking486It's just a memory. Memories aren't always accurate. Memories often always contain inaccuracies. Sheldon admits he doesn't always pick up on social cues 😮, & also Sheldon remembers his father differently now since Sheldon became a husband and father himself.😢
They didn’t necessarily change the BBT timeline. It’s all Sheldon’s perspective. Sheldon thought that his dad cheated, but he actually didn’t-Sheldon misunderstood the situation.
You are right about the cheating, however, the other things Sheldon said about how awful his father was cannot be attributed to a misunderstanding. Pure and simple, Sheldon said his father was an abusive alcoholic which he was not. How does someone misunderstand that?
That proves what an iconic show Young Sheldon is. When Seinfeld decided to quit, people were acting the same way. 26 years later, the show is still popular to this day like Young Sheldon will be 26 years from now.
I was going into the episode expecting it to be the one where George kics the bucket, but now how much I thought I was prepared, it just hit me like a ton of bricks.... then Meemaw, Mary and Missy's reactions just made it all the more impactful. And then seeing Sheldon, just unable to express himself due to being devasted and overwhelmed this profound change. Made me think about my dad who I lost when I was 7... I love TBBT but Young Sheldon is leagues better!
I say that’s a hilarious thing to do. Makes sense for Sheldon to mistaken something like that and it holds well to George’s character. Bro is so nonchalant I doubt he would have any desire to cheat.
They had to change the plot to please the audience because people liked George very much. George was tempted to cheat with the neighbor and I suppose she would be the one but they were coward and changed the plot, now it seems Sheldon is stupid enough to not recognize her own mother and it's so pathetic he had misunderstood her father all his life.

I believe that the whole show (Young Sheldon) was based on Sheldon's Memoirs. He made his Dad out to be a great guy and the role play of his parents was in his memoirs as well. His true realities of what really happened is based on the Big Bang Theory. His writing was to show that he came from a good family and not the reality that was presented to us on The Big Bang Theory. This is why his professors nor Paige was ever mentioned. He wrote a fantasy novel about a Good, Wholesome Family. He made his Meemaw out to be a with it (in Sheldon's mind) granny who had a little danger in her. The whole show (Young Sheldon) is based on a fantasy that Sheldon wrote in his Autobiography.

Would it be right to guess, but not assume that the last scene will be the one with adult Sheldon and Amy with the former finishing up writing his memoirs on the computer? I have a feeling that's what it is. I hope they do a curtain call with an announcer thinking a great cast.
I like young Sheldon I've seen many episodes with my family but after a few episodes it just got dull and now I watch snipits and the other day I went into the kitchen pat the living room and I watched that part I cried a little bit so I'm definitely watching the season Finale
I just hoping this Thursday Sheldon he will tells to his friends and his wife amy and their son about his childhood story George he really don't want see his family had torn apart he wants them be happy and loved each other.
1) When is the next time Sheldon saw Mary after he moved to California? 2) Did Mary start badmouthing the late George when she next saw Sheldon? 3) Did she find out about his secret vasectomy when she was thinking about having another baby, and was that after George had passed? 4) Did she have reason to believe that that procedure contributed to George's fatal heart attack? Could explain why Mary spoke so hatefully about George in TBBT. Could also explain why Sheldon would co-sign what she said.
please have respect for George and don’t say he kicked the bucket. It’s already hard to believe his gone it doesn’t help when you talk as if he’s a animal
I think the difference from the story from the BBT and YS is ok, since many memories we have from younger times are different to what others might have of the same experience
What gets me in TBBT is that Sheldon only spoke well of his mum and meemaw. Georgie and especially Missy were always spoken poorly of. George, Sr. did have decent relationships with his kids, but he, like Mary, treated Sheldon better. Sheldon got all additional money in the family for his education while Georgie and Missy often went without. Now, that George is dead, Sheldon will basically walk away from the family, leaving everyone to their grief while maligning his siblings for being less. That the writers couldn't pull an ace out their arses for Missy by giving her a scholarship to college for baseball or some form of enrichment shows how they bought into the trope of her staying home and becoming a deadbeat, divorced mother. I'm not sad for Sheldon. I'm sad for Missy who basically received little support from Mary and George, leading her to become less than she actually could be. Meanwhile, Sheldon who received every advantage his parents could give him walked away from the family, having no part in making things better for them.
No, I gotta check out the episode before the finale I don’t think the whole season matters I was just waiting for the big moment or the father passes away, which is totally gonna be sad . Great Video.
@@Hal-k8p oh yeah I never thought about that.. Well then where will he go? Because if not heaven then really the only option is hell but people only go there if they’ve done something bad in their life ( well that’s my belief anyway 🤷🏻♀️ )
@@annalilyvev4347 Your belief is inaccurate. What sends us to hell is not accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior and repenting (genuinely) of our sins. That is what saves us no matter what bad things we have done. We are all redeemable IF we accept the work that Jesus did on our behalf. Since Sheldon rejects God in this life, God will reject him in the afterlife.
Reading the comments . . . It is funny how a viewer of both shows thinks IT'S EITHER TBBT OR YOUNG SHELDON THAT SHOWS THE TRUE VERSION - But it's probably A COMBINATION OF THE TWO SHOWS!😮
Georgie: who takes care the family after the dad died ? Mom is a mess, messy is dump teenager, I had to look after both of them. It finally connect and gonna miss Sheldon dad
The show strayed from the storyline supposedly established in TBBT in so many ways over the years that there was no reason to have George die. In TBBT he was described as a terrible abusive drunk. In this show he was a kind, caring father. This is television folks - make believe. It isn't Shakespear.
I know this is a very sad ending, and please believe I am not making lite of it. When the first season started I fell in love with actress who played Mary. When the second season started I kept telling him when they cast they role of Mary, she had a lot of ways liked Laurie Metcalf and even sounded a lot like her. My husband to snooping on the internet and he came back with this comment " okay Rose Nylon you did it again the reason the actress resembles her so much is because she is Laurie's daughter" He always used to tease me all the time. I sure do miss him. I hope I left you with a good laugh!

I'm now trying to go back and see if current Sheldon ever mentions his mom and memaw in past or present tense. I'm scared that the reason Sheldon began telling the story is because of his mother's death or memaw or both. I don't think they'll destroy the audience that brutally, but dang... I knew George had to go at some point... and as everyone has already mentioned, we weren't ready.
He did make an appearance but as a bully.. not as his father.. Mary is going to lose it.. Missy will go off and Georgie is going to take care of the family.. so I think this will hurt his marriage that’s why he had 2 more marriages 😊
Marrying someone like Mary and his mother in law no way cab he be happy. ..Mandy has pur him down before married and her mom made several hateful remarks. Mary had called him names toi.

I just hoping this Thursday Sheldon he will tells to his friends and his wife amy and their son about his childhood story George he really don't want see his family had torn apart he wants them be happy and loved each other.
It's so sad how he had to die in the show
I'm not ready for this😢
George was my favorite!
I wish Memaw would play on the spin off with Georgie and Mandy
Even tho I've seen it coming, i wasn't prepared
1) When is the next time Sheldon saw Mary after he moved to California?
2) Did Mary start badmouthing the late George when she next saw Sheldon?
3) Did she find out about his secret vasectomy when she was thinking about having another baby, and was that after George had passed?
4) Did she have reason to believe that that procedure contributed to George's fatal heart attack?
Could explain why Mary spoke so hatefully about George in TBBT.
Could also explain why Sheldon would co-sign what she said.
The TV Dad OGs Dan Connor, Uncle Phil and George Cooper
Though every Cooper family member was in TBBT except for George Sr.... His "physical twin" was there as Leonard's bully.
what a great father, everything ends always a mess.
Gorge was my fav I like GE rip🥺❤️
George is probably pissed rn cuz he died first instead of meemaw
please have respect for George and don’t say he kicked the bucket. It’s already hard to believe his gone it doesn’t help when you talk as if he’s a animal
Agree. That statement is very rude. Would you have said that about your Dad?
Agreed.
Fr and bro even said "6 feet under" 💀
he's a fictional character bro
@@lindajarvis6120his dad exists. George Cooper does not. Never did. Get a life
Death is always hard n emotional to deal with
Sheldon: O dono do bar, chorou chorou !!! 😂😂😂…
George DID appear in BBT on videotape as a coach addressing his team at halftime.
George also played the bully, that bullied Leonard!! They meet at the bar and he showed up at the apartment
When George kicks the bucket 💀💀💀💀
6 feet under
Horrible thing to say
I will miss it great series
I think the difference from the story from the BBT and YS is ok, since many memories we have from younger times are different to what others might have of the same experience
Sheldon's mom in young sheldon has a very different personality than the big bang theory mother.
Laurie Metcalf who plays Sheldon’s mom in TBBT is Mary’s (Young Sheldon) mother in real life ~ how cool is that
Based on what we see in TBBT I think Mary turned even more religious, turning to the church after George died and became bitter and sanctimonious.
@@carli.savedbygrace oh wow, that is cool. But their personalities are different. The mother in young Sheldon is more emotional and empathetic.
@@cbcdesign001 that makes sense
All that preparation for the family photo? A plain ole red herring! Well done.
“ see y’all later “ was his last words. 😢 He will see them later in heaven 😭
He won't be seeing Sheldon. Since Sheldon does not believe in God, he will not be going to heaven. That simple.
@user-zq5jd7ee9n Mary is a hiprocrit nor sure they go either..lol
Reading the comments . . .
It is funny how a viewer of both shows thinks
IT'S EITHER TBBT OR YOUNG SHELDON
THAT SHOWS THE TRUE VERSION -
But it's probably A COMBINATION OF THE TWO SHOWS!😮
Georgie: who takes care the family after the dad died ? Mom is a mess, messy is dump teenager, I had to look after both of them.
It finally connect and gonna miss Sheldon dad
I Love Young Sheldon 😀❤️😃😍💖💝
The show strayed from the storyline supposedly established in TBBT in so many ways over the years that there was no reason to have George die. In TBBT he was described as a terrible abusive drunk. In this show he was a kind, caring father. This is television folks - make believe. It isn't Shakespear.
i cried like a baby.
That's a way to phrase it. Kick the bucket. I understand it's accurate but idk why I chuckled
I’m crying so much
I think it’s a big mistake his death I broke down just watching the trailer one of the greatest shows I’ll look forward to Georgie and Mandy’s show thank y’all for such a good times Great job y’all I love your show
I'm now trying to go back and see if current Sheldon ever mentions his mom and memaw in past or present tense.
@@GeorgettaHolder-jg2eq they were at peace. Working relationship before he passed.. talking about geogie
I really wished I watched this ahow more. RIP George cooper 😢.
It's on MAX streaming and Netflix seasons 1-6.
I'm unable to download it. Dang, I'm bummed I wanted to see the end of Young Sheldon😢😮😮
