- The Process is fairly simple and takes under 10 minutes if you are not recording and trying to remove it all at the same time 😅. The phone cradle was made for older phones that no longer carry this type of charging port. SO EASIEST THING TO DO IS JUNK IT!

Bro big difference! With idrive and phone holder in the armrest you got basically 0 storage, that’s good tip 👍 Aways waiting for new content bro, I know it’s tough to find more things to do, I’m sure you’ll sort it out, I’m not as consistent as you are but bro keep in mind I’m here! You got people here inspired by you, keep the hard work bro 🙏
GianniHow man making content is a mind bender and expensive sometimes! So free mods like this are always good 😁👍🏾. Man and right back to you, keep making that content, im definitely watching and just as inspired by your channel as well!
After removing, I dremelled off most of the plastic, keeping the hinge part and the flap that extends down over top part of the hole. Then I superglued a piece of rubber over the hole and re-installed the hinge. For a cover you could also cut a piece of the plastic from the tray - you can just score the plastic and bend to snap. Camouflages it nicely.
Wish I had known how to do this when I had my X1 great little tip.....👍
Im still slowly finding out things like this myself with the x1 😅. Hows the audi treating you!!?
It's a great car unbelievable driving experience so smooth..... just need to do some little mods now...😉
I love this Jon because we have the same 35i. When you publish a video, I put it up on the big screen! I have that console piece of plastic just haven’t had time to do this mod, your close up pictures are soooo helpful. There’s some cable connectors you can get to convert to a USB port, It was in one of the forum posts. Thanks Man!
Yo!!! Man always excited when i get messages like this 😁🙌🏾! Extremely humbling... i would love to convert to usb! Ill have to look into that. I was thinking of what to do to feel in that small gap now. I heard theres a cover you can buy for it.
thank you for uploading this video. I followed it through but cbf removing the connectors. instead I just cut the cable off. so far everything seems to be good.
Just go my x1 35 m sport yesterday Primo, thanks for inspiring me!
Rodrigo Lima hell yeah!!! Your gonna love the thing bro 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🔥😁❕ if you have any questions about the car hit me up!

Awesome video boss 🔥
Jbatres26 E84M Preciate that brother! 🙌🏾😁
Hey Jon. Did the car have any errors after removal or issues with BT connectivity to the phone or such ?
Morning! 😁. None at all! No error codes or connectivity issues. Im still looking to find that cap to cover that hole is the only thing 😅
@@JonSantiagoRAW I have E71 X6 and want to get rid of that thing as it takes up the whole center console. I can get my cover from BMW for around $20 directly but had to find the part number myself as they were unable to find it on their system. GL finding your cover though :)
what‘s the name of the cover?
Hey bro i just picked up a 15 x1 where do you find engine parts etc???
Man congrats on the x1 🙌🏾😁! So for engine parts, i go to vrsf, or fcp euro. They have good quality parts. What model did you get?
JonSantiagoRAW i got the 28, but just put some 20s gloss black so I’m on the murder the car out game , keep making your videos brotha
Man i gotta see it! The 28i is still quick! I would look into doing some simple engine mods first to not break the bank 😁👍🏾. Dm me on my IG- @Jonsantiagoraw_e84!
I can’t get hold of a cover. Has anyone tried to 3D print one or adapt one from the old cradle you removed.

Hi,
Thanks for your sharing and instruction. I also removed it. I am looking the trim to cover that hole. Checked with the parts manual, 51162991863 seems to be that, anyone can check with it also? Much appreciated.

@@TheParaSIET anything you can install in 2004 bmw x5 to accept iphone 10+
@@frankprill1536 I wish I could help you but don't know really anything about the BMW X5 (E53) from 2004.
Has it Bluetooth build in? Otherwise, you can use bluetooth usb-stick to connect the iPhone 10+?
If you don't find the question you're looking for maybe post it yourself on a dedicated BMW forum from your country.
Good luck and I hope you find what you're looking for ;)
Yes I did! Installed myself looks better now than before very happy with the result ;)
