    I've experienced waiting in a hospital late at night for 3-4 hours in absolute agony while they get the appropriate staff out of bed to come in and knock me out (not an easy task, I'm a big guy). Would have much preferred a shoulder massage and a chat for 5-10 minutes.

      Happened to me just yesterday. It’s like the 5th time but previously, it only took an hour before they could treat it. Last night, I waited for the same duration as yours. That feeling really sucks man.

      Had a 2-3 hour wait for mine but that was just to see me. Once I got in all I got was some ibuprofen and the popped in back in after a couple tries. Luckily for those hours waiting I found a somewhat comfortable position where my elbow was above my head and it wouldn’t hurt much if I didn’t move it

    This doc should’ve performed this on himself so that we can clearly see how to do it WITHOUT ASSISTANCE

      Stand up, bend down, extend the dislocated arm downwards, cup your fingers under your toes and then gently lift your back up, it will stretch the shoulder and then once the stretch reaches the optimum level, it will pop it back

      @@syedhussainmehdi9772thanks for the tip. That is easier and more consistent than what I was trying to figure out on my own to help with subluxation and dislocation from hEDS. 👍🏻

    Thank you, I did this on myself. I sat in a chair and slightly elevated my arm up and holding a countertop. Slowly massaging my own arm and slightly rotating inward where I felt the stress and pressure , all while my hand was on the countertop, I felt it slide in. The back part of my shoulder blade slid in. The pain was much less but I rubbed Tiger balm because it still very much soar.

    Just watched your video while I was practicing you’re method on my son with a severe dislocated shoulder and it just slid back in to place. Key was a long time relaxing and then patiently massaging it in to place using your method. Thank you!!!

    before I realized I had a tear my shoulder would come out almost on a monthly bases, what an insane and excruciating undertaking to go to the ER every time my god. I'm a big fan now of the "slam into the wall method" (official medical term of course). Last time it worked in about ten seconds and I was back to playing air hockey at the bar, badass little party trick too haha.

    You can pop it back in by yourself just look where your shoulder is and push your arm the way you think it will go in

    • @lizxu322
      @lizxu322 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lol...duh...but push it wrongly you can damage it far worse to the point of needing surgery, genius. Some people are looser than others too, some need relatively small force but others need like an entire body weight to do it

    I’m already a pro at popping it back in myself. I usually just get a hold of (with the bad shoulder side) something very sturdy like the knob on a closed door and pull myself away very slowly until it pops back into socket. Still very painful 😞

    It kind of worked when I did it on myself, let’s see if after some more time the pain goes completely away.

    "without assistance" proceed to assist the patience (?)

      I think he meant without needing to call in a flock of other medical people to assist.
