    Works with elbows too! My wife popped her own elbow back in using a similar method by sitting on a chair and grabbing the chair between her knees then slowly leaning back and it popped right back in. Got an xray the following day and there were no other problems, super lucky all around.

    I put my own back in by lying face down on the side of the bed and just letting my arm hang down. It went in easily...probably because I did it right away. Heard there's a method where you hold a bucket and slowly add water to gently increase the weight and that pops it back, too. I think the real key is to act fast and stay as relaxed as you can.

  • @BrassBashers
    @BrassBashers 2 ปีที่แล้ว +100

    First time I did it, we went to the hospital. The doctor and two nurses put you in this thing that holds you arm out from your body, then proceed to yank and pull on your arm while moving it around until it goes back in.
    2nd time my dad refused to pay the hospital bill to do it, so he did it. Had me lean over just like this except he pulled down my arm by my wrist and it backed back in. That was much less painful than the first time.

      Hello, I could just imagine the pain your husband goes through when this happens. I hope it does not happen to him again. However what works for me is my wife grabs me a chair to sit down very slowly at my own pace. Once I’m sat down and settled , I slowly grab the front edge of the seat with my dislocated right shoulder (again at my own pace) then pull it upwards (which can be very painful). Basically ,Just like this video but I’m sitting down compared to the gentleman in this video who is on his feet. FYI, I’m not a medical professional, this works for me especially when the first responders are not there right away.

      @@orestiszezas2595 it’s not my experience that this will reoccur more frequently. I would definitely Google this a bit more. @@orestiszezas2595Sorry for late reply mate - yes you will very likely dislocate again even if it was partially. Any sort of dislocation causes tearing of the shoulder labrum (tissue that helps keep the humoral bone in the socket), which causes instability. Make sure to incorporate shoulder rotator cuff strengthening exercises into your workout (light loads ofc). And if pain persists or it happens again, get to an orthopaedic doctor and get your shoulder screened as wear and tear can create arthritis later in life, and may be managed with a minor surgery

    Press into your upper armpit with something like a railing and it will pop it back in. I do this all the time even at work when it randomly comes out. Thank me later. You want to have the railing or someone’s hand pressing in the inner armpit while sliding up and using the other hand to hold the arm on the wrist/elbow to forearm area whatever area causes less pain while holding it still. Use your other hand into the armpit but pressing into your body while sliding up. You can also make like a paper or hands flat while going up slowly while applying pressure

    I did this by accident once when I fell. Dislocated my shoulder but bent over to pick up my wallet and popped it back in. Problem is that my shoulder had a crack in it and popping it back in made it worse (corkscrew fracture I think they said), so have someone check it out even after you pop it back in.

    • @Potatotenkopf
      @Potatotenkopf ปีที่แล้ว

      Was the relocation painful? How bad was the fracture in terms of pain, I'm just curious. I've never broke a bone but I'm heavy enough that tripping properly could probably break or fracture my arm if I landed on it wrong(~270+), I'm very careful with my steps and footing because the cost of medical care would probably hurt way worse than the actual fracture.

    • @alimfuzzy
      @alimfuzzy ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Potatotenkopf I live in Australia so didn't cost me anything... it felt like an intense stinging pain when it dislocated... it felt better when it popped back in but later it was an all over body ache starting from my shoulder... intensity kind of like if you get lightly tapped in the balls...it aches but you can work through it... I actually went back to work for an hour before deciding I needed to go to the hospital. Took about six to eight months to heal and still flares up from time to time.

    Ok, you must have been reading my mind. I have been wondering about what to do in case of a dislocated shoulder. Good Grief I had no idea you could dislocate your elbow. I guess if there is a body joint involved it can get hurt like anything else you do wrong. Ok so the video was interesting but can someone please explain exacly what was being done so that I can commit this to memory. Are ALL dislocations (Shoulder wise) the same and can use the same treatment? How do you know your shoulder is dislocated? I have never had one so I don't know what the symptoms are or how you feel. My Uncle was hunting alone and slid down a small hill and dislocated his shoulder and had to fix it himself, but he never said how he did it. I think this is why it has been on my mind. I would also ask if you have videos that talk about this kind of body repair where a person is by themself and they have to fix it themself? I have gone in and downloaded and Archived every one of your videos currently on YT so I can have them to study and watch.

    Having your shoulder pop back in is orgasmic....one moment everything is wrong with the universe...the next moment all is well.
    Usually holding something heavy in my hand and walking around a while will pop mine back in. Had to do this well over 50 times now.
