  • Another solo adventure up to the lost world plateau in Lamington NP. The views are simply amazing and traversing a narrow ridge was fun.

Great video mate. It’s definitely an amazing view from up on that ridgeline. That creek up on top is spring fed and flows all year round. Amazingly even in the worst of the drought in 2019 it was still trickling.

Yes I learnt that after I did the hike =), because I watched your video again lol.. you know the one that almost killed you =) and where the Osprey took a 50m tumble. Cheers Ben.

@@tofuhiker 🤣🤣 yes I remember it vividly. That black soil gets very greasy underfoot when it’s wet.

"That was steeeeep". Loved that catchphrase. It should be on a t-shirt. Hope you are well Ben. Miss your videos and remember your walk and mishap too on that rainy day. Great video Tofu 👍

@@adventureswithgrunt Yeah it was a pretty sketchy hike up on that ridge in the rain. I’m getting back into filming my hikes and have one I’m editing now. Hopefully have it up on my channel soon.

Back in the times when T-Rex’s roamed the Lost World three of us dropped down the former cliff track at Moran’s Falls and crossed over the Castle Crag Ridge to the Albert and up the ridge you just did to Lost World. Camped the night by the falls and the next day went along to the saddle at the other end and dropped back down to the Albert and up to Thunder & Lightning Falls then back down and up the route to Albert Circuit then along the Border Track to the car at O’Reilly’s. Possibly the hardest two days of my life. Now at 75 just the Albert Circuit exhausts me. 😂

Woah.. former track of Morans which means at least 40 years ago =). Now days to do the same route we would need to start descending the north ridge of Castle Crag down to Albert river. The saying goes what doesn't break us makes us stronger =)..

The big steep hill and the dry long grass concerns me. Thanks for the information 😊
