I've watched I don't know how many videos of making towel toppers and yours is by far the easiest and least complicated one. Thank you so much for posting this!!!!!
Thanks for showing us this. This is a easier way. This is the easiest way I've ever seen to make this. I'm gonna I have was getting ready to start making them because I have a whole container full of towels and this is what I'm going to do. I was gonna use a double tab but this this this I can make 2 out of one. Thanks for showing it to us and thanks for what you do. I'm going to keep you a tutorial to refer back to because I don't know how to go online to get the pattern. Thank you so much. He did a great job
I have watched yours and Christines Video. I love the look but it seems like so many steps. I am going to watch it again before I try it. I think I will do plain fabric first for sure.
Wow one of the best and easy video I have seen.. taking your time.. explaining each step.. made this so enjoyable to watch.. I am going to make a few for family for Christmas. Thanks again 🙏
This is a clear, concise video…. easy to follow and repeat. I have one suggestion that might make it a bit easier. When you sew your towel between the top and bottom of your cloth piece, you said that you should sew across the top and down each side about an inch or so. This will leave actually 2 sides open for turning. However, you only need to leave one side open for turning. So you can sew across the top and down one inch on one side and completely down the other side. This leaves you with only 1 side open to pin together and top stitch closed. Either way works fine, but some might find this way easier. Thanks for a great video!! God bless!!
The towels are great, and I especially love that you gave me an idea where I might be able to put my air fryer. I have a bakers rack with all kinds of stuff on it, but never thought of putting the air fryer on it.
Oh Joanna your video and instructions were just awesome! I loved everything. I am using the microfiber towels from $ General. However I am using the entire towel for each. Not cutting in half. I also wash the towels and fabric before I sew. Habit from making my own clothes for a good 20 years. Time consuming yes. But when using 100% cotton I feel safer the darned item won't shrink. when the receiver of the towel washes it. I will be following your video as it is so easy with no buttons or velcro.
I tried to make one for following your tutorial, but I did something wrong. It’s not laying right. I used denim for the band. Do you think that’s just too stiff?
Joanna, It's me again. I am using a fabric with a directional print. It's been a loooong time since I used a directional print. I need clarification on the topper as you laid it out at the end of our video. 🙄
It was confusing. Sorry. I will do one with directional fabric for next Saturday if you can hold off that long. It would be easier for me to show than to tell.

thx for such easy instructions. I have a suggestion - pre-wash & dry your topper fabric & the towel, as they may shrink down differently.

Thank you 😊
Amei a explicação
Camera work is excellent
Thank you 😊
I love this pattern and video demonstration. You mentioned that towel is a tea towel. Would a terry towel work the same?
Yes ma’am. This is a terry towel from the Dollar Tree
Easy to follow!
What fuse did you use for this?
Pellon midweight fusible iron on
Does band go on above notch on the top side?
If I use a bigger towel I suppose the 2 piece will be adjusted in length?
You can or maybe fold your towel?
I tried to make one for following your tutorial, but I did something wrong. It’s not laying right. I used denim for the band. Do you think that’s just too stiff?
It may be. I’m so sorry it didn’t work out.
Can you show how to do the long piece folding
I did in the video at the end.
what fusible did you use?
I use Pellon fusible mid weight.
What kind of needle are you using? My needle won't go through the fabric and towel
@@maryannebrannon1396 I use Schmetz needles and you can use size 16 should do good.
@JoannasDIYLife , thanks
I bought those today....

The towel should be upside down shouldn't it?
Mine is not. If you follow my instructions they will come out perfect.
es ist sehr schwierig die maße zu erfahren wenn man die sprache nicht spricht.
maß angaben in der info box wären hilfreich
One 7 1/2 x 15 inches
One 8 x 8 inches
why cant you leave the towel whole?
this comes from notches sewing..she invented it
You can get 2 out of 1. And I’ve not seen her.
