I grew up in the northeast surrounded by Italian immigrants (including my grandparents) and michelle is about as Italian looking as anyone ive ever known ...and then she starts speaking and she is all Aussie! Cracks me up!
We are watching this video everyday getting ready for our first trip to Italy and it is very helpful. The man is so fun and makes the video more interesting! If the people we meet are as nice as the two speaking Italian in this video seem, it will be an enjoyable trip! Thank you for your help.
Oh that’s amazing to hear! I’m so glad you’re getting a lot of value from it 😊 The locals of Ostuni were very gracious with their time helping me with this video 🇮🇹Buon viaggio!
After coming back from my 6 weeks in Italy last year, I kinda stopped my Italian lessons. Time to get back to it and your videos are the best so I knew exactly where to restart. Back starting with the basics but I expect I can advance more quickly this time. Grazie Michele.
Does the men say inglese and the women say inglese but with an -ah sound at the end because she is female versus he said inglese with an -eh sound at the end or is it just her accent possibly from a different part of Italy?
Italianos are too street-chill for formalities😂 Been working for an italian engineering company for almost a year now.. whether it's a manager, lead, project director or employee.. you name it: All you'll hear is Ciao! CiAo cIaO ciaOO.. And some Come stai and buon giornos once in every 20 to 30 ciaOs...😂😂😂😂
This woman goes over the lesson a way to fast and the translation/ phonetic spelling are too brief. The man and woman repeating the words/phrase do not contribute to your understanding of the lesson

Bravissima! I'm so glad to hear you're ready to get back into it Lynda :)
The man is so adorable!!
You are great at making syllables about the way an english native speaker should learn italian pronunciation
Grazie mille :)
Great Video! Both your style and content are buonissimo. Having the native speakers pronounce the phrases as well, is a great idea.
So glad you enjoyed it😊
Thank you so much for your time and effort. The PDF will also be useful I'm sure. Flourish and Prosper.
@@rosemarieblack7063 Grazie mille😊It’s my pleasure 🇮🇹

This video is clear, concise and easy to use. 😊
Yes I agree with you this makes it much easier to learn.
I really like this way the language is taught.
What was once daunting, now seems almost easy. Thank you so much. Traveling to Italy in September, I feel that I will be sufficiently prepared ✔️❤️👍🏼
Gracie Millie, I understant a lot since my native language is Spanish 😍
Spanish is not my native language, but the years I studied it is definitely helpful understanding how to conjugate verbs in Italiano 👍
Very helpful, thank you!
My pleasure :)
Thanks for the vid, Intrepid Guide!
Prego!
Grazie signora, this was very helpful😊
Grazie mille🙏Wishing you all the best with your studies 🤩
Say “signorina” if you want to give a compliment. That means “young lady”. Signora is more for grown ups/elderly ladies 😉

Bene!!!!
The lady changes her e for an A why, that's confusing. Other than that, thanks for the lessons, Mi piace :)
Probably because although it is not necessary, like in Spanish it is also possible to do it and still be understood.
E sounds like a in.italiam
Grazie mastra
Are you speaking Spanish?
Maestra
Super👌
Does the men say inglese and the women say inglese but with an -ah sound at the end because she is female versus he said inglese with an -eh sound at the end or is it just her accent possibly from a different part of Italy?
No, “inglese” doesn’t change for gender as it’s an exception, it only changes from the singular (inglese) to the plural which is (inglesi)

What’s with the italian woman’s pronunciation?
Another italian channel says the right way to say I don't understand is in the past tense "non ho capito".
They are both correct, they just use different tenses: non ho capito (I haven’t understood) or non capisco (I don’t understand)
She looks sorta little like "Sarah Jessica Parker" (lol) Great video!

Who is the man? He is so cute? What town are you in? Are these your friends?
These are locals I made friends with while in Ostuni 🤩
So you always use "she, lei" for the formal, even speaking to a male?
Yes! That’s right 😊
We use the third person singular while addressing unknown people or people who are higher in hierarchy.
Why the lady uses the : ah even when you said that the gender doesn’t change . ( the guy says : oh)
she say per favora!! ??
Michelle is such a hottie ❤ Love the chan and thank you for the pdf sheets. Helpfull
I just realized that Michelle is British.... for some reason I'm reminded of a Fawlty Towers episode 😅
The woman with the sweater around her neck is not Italian and her pronunciation needs work. His is perfetto!
Absolutely not! They are all two southern Italians, but he has a more marked regional cadence.
No, ho isn't. He's got a regional accent.
That third person has a strange accent 🥴
What!😂
I agree. Especially when she says "a"
