I have myopia an can confirm that it is true. But increasing TAA sharperning a bit and using nvidea sharpening help a little. At least for my GTX 1650. That's what I can afford@@linearfusion738
1080p in this game looks terrible but there's a few settings you can tweak to make it look more manageable. First of all make sure you use TAA at medium and not at high since it looks blurrier at high. Make sure you have TAA sharpening at least 25 and Parallax Occlusion Mapping to Ultra since there's no performance difference at Ultra or below and increases the detail in surfaces. If it still looks too blurry you can increase the render resolution higher just make sure to use at least 5/6 as that is when it's higher than 1080p. Don't forget to use x16 anisotropic filtering as well.
Damn, after watching this I decided to hold a bit with my 5th playthrough on new rig and wait until I can afford a 1440p monitor. The difference from 1080p to 1440p seems bigger than I thought. I could always use resolution scale 1.5x but I've heard it isn't the same as native 1440p.
It isn't the same as native 1440p because on native 1440p you actually get the extra pixels, unlike with the resolution scale setting. That's why native looks a lot better than SSAA and DSR.
@@jamesgodfrey1322 i have plan to buy 1440p ultrawide, with 4060, but they said it will decrease fps a little bit, but im thinking i will lower the quality to medium, im curious it still good in medium setting or not, 🤔 (sorry for my bad english)

If you have Nvidia GPU, 1440p with dlss on quality will deliver the same performance with better image quality but if you have AMD GPU then maybe yeah, FSR is good but not compared to dlss
I always wondered whether 1440p was worth the hype. Got my first 1440p monitor yesterday, 165 hz, from my old 1080p with 60hz. Oh my god it's unbelievable. I didn't even have a frame of reference for what I was missing out on. You would have thought someone was 2 knuckles deep in my ass when I first set my new monitor to a higher hz and resolution.
@@naikz187war4 This confused me too. but i watched it on my 1080 laptop and didnt notice a huge difference - until i watched it on my new 1440p desktop.

1080p visual clarity is the equivalent of having real life astigmatism
it really does look like when i don't wear my glasses

As a person with astigmatism, couldn't agree more after playing the game in 1080p. The grass absolutely annoys me
people watching this video on a 1080p monitor >
Once I got 1440p the difference is huge, 1080p - never again, same goes for 60hz vs 144hz+
FINALLY, I've searched for HOURS for photos, videos, ANYTHING that shows the difference between 1080p and 1440p.
I had this on my second monitor (1080p) and 30 seconds in realized why I didn't see a difference.
OKAY, That's actually quite a jump... Damn
I mean, 1440p (~3.6M) is almost double the pixels of 1080p (~2M)... plus this game's TAA is awful.

I have never seen a test video this good bro damnn

Yeah, this game is pretty blurry at 1080p on ps5.
Why hasn't rockstar released a next gen update for this game yet?
Because hardworking in GTA vi
Probably because this game didn't make them as much money as GTAO with shark cards.

TAA is the main culprit in recent games bluriness. Just check r/fuckTAA

The best video comparision
1080p TH-cam is not true 1080p while the 2k is true. So this comparison is not real.
la differenza di prezzo di 400€ per giocare ad una risoluzione a 2k non è però giustificata
what is the configuration of 1440p?
Red Dead Redemption 2 suffers due to the limited generation it was released on. This game crushes 4K, ray tracing, and 60 frames per second.
1080p looks best at 22 inch monitor, anything more will look pixelated..
Of course 4k is better but nvidia release good 4k cards in 2030
Its almost as if this game was not meant for mid end PCs at all, so they intentionally made TAA incompatible with 1080p and maximized TAA ghosting
