Star Wars subtitles, but I didn't see how to do it in Kdenlive, in Davinci Resolve it takes a few seconds and it's perfect, but I have problems in Manjaro to install it.
Great info! I had no problems with the transparency, ran into an issue getting the text to scale high enough to show the background completely (still had font overlaying the background, even at 5000+%) so I'm doing something wrong. Just trying to learn how to make my TH-cam channel more enjoyable and interesting, and a subscription to yours sure does help!
Absolutely awesome video ! What i would like to know is, if it is possible to create a Title-Effect like in "Superman - The Movie" with Kdenlive ? I mean 3d Titles flying in ?
Hi Gagliardi Vex! Thank you so much for watching! Great idea! I just posted a video along these lines just a short bit ago - hope it helps! th-cam.com/video/5Pdo6PK1VhM/w-d-xo.html
Hi lottalava! Good questions! Perspective can be added with the "Corners" effect (alpha operation may need to be changed to "Minimum"). For solid appearance, #KDEnlive unfortunately doesn't have much in that space. I dug through the effects and the closest match I could find was the "Emboss" effect, which gives a pseudo depth to the text. The challenge is that it also strips off any color. Color can be added back with a color correction effect. Hope that helps!
Nate, i am struggling with the chroma basic effect and getting my text transparent. I follow all the way to getting the background but its the transparency using the chroma that i am struggling with. any ideas
i cant believe it took me this long🙄the color of the title font must match the color of the chromo effect! phew i figured it out! thanks for this fly through animation its awesome! subbed and using more of your tutorials!
Hi Ivars Bezdechi! Thank you for the question! I've been looking at the updates within latest versions of #KDEnlive and will be creating something like this very soon - there are new, subtle features that are simple to use and effective for enhancing projects~
@@Photolearningism Early in the video (at about 3:45) you say that you applied a simple chroma effect. How did you do that? I think that's important and based on your language and details up to that point, it appears to me that your target "audience" is generally a beginner or at least someone who is just getting started. So it was disappointing to me that you sort of skipped over that part. And I've viewed other videos about how to do the "see through" text and there appears to be an easier way (at least one with fewer steps). But I appreciate your time and effort. Sadly, I might not be able to use kdenlive. On my Ubuntu system, for some reason, it crashes regularly and takes forever (almost literally) to render projects.
Thank you, pjslo12! It's very helpful to know which areas of my videos could be stronger and I'm very grateful for you taking the time to provide details! I'd agree that render time is slow in #KDEnlive - it seems that it relies heavily on CPU and not GPU rendering, which I believe has been suggested to KDE as a venue of improvement. Interestingly, I have plans to dig into Chroma keying and hope to have a video up in the coming weeks. Thank you so much!
What's your favorite visual effect?
The warp dissolve, where a scene morphs into the next. 🙂

Hi Nate, I was wondering Can I save a text composite with all effects and reuse it with different text every time in a new video editing session ?
is possible to give perspective to text and give it some solid appearance?

Where is the video tutorial for basic text titles in Kdenlive?
Hi Ivars Bezdechi! Thank you for the question! I've been looking at the updates within latest versions of #KDEnlive and will be creating something like this very soon - there are new, subtle features that are simple to use and effective for enhancing projects~
You didn't answer my question. It didn't come up for me in the video link.
Thanks for clarifying, Ivars! The other titles video I linked in this video is here - th-cam.com/video/ySM1lMk2cCE/w-d-xo.html - hope it helps!
@@Photolearningism I just went by what you said in the advanced tutorial, etc.
Sorry for the delay in posting today - my computer crashed 3 times in trying to get this video out. Finally made it!
Where are your views? So qualitative video with no views... Odd algorithms of TH-cam
You kinda rush through some of the important details of this process.
Hi pjslo12! Thank you for the feedback! Is there an area of KDEnlive titles that you like to know more about?
