    How is this any different from just using keyframes?

    • @Photolearningism
      @Photolearningism 13 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      @@lolahasan7208 thanks for the question! There are some similarities - one major perk of using Glaxnimate is the ability to group layers and animate them either with independent motion or grouped motion. Hope that helps!

      @@Photolearningism Also to add, I first started with glaxnimate in shotcut editor and glax was and is still confusing. I've started with Capcut a few days ago and It only has key frames, so I wanted to compare. However, capcut has this feature where you can select several clips and create a compound clip. So this gives you the chance to animate things individually or as a group as well and the layout is easier than glaxnimate. I came to this tutorial to see if I can animate a part of an image. for instance to select a person's arm and move it without separating it in a photo editor and just animating the image each part in one program, but seems like it's not available so for me Capcut's keyframes+ compound clip =wins.

    This may have been different with the version you were using at the time, but with 2024.05, you can use the keyframe to change the position and the color. This is how I simulate a fading effect, by setting the beginning fame to the color black, then set a key at the point the main video fade is complete, then set the color of that key to the color you wish your audio spectrum to be. You can even move the position of the graph as part of the key frames.

    I saw another designer use the Transform effect to do the scrolling. The benefit is you can pause the scrolling on the first few screens (showing producer, director, star actors) then resume scrolling for the rest of the actors and crew.

    I have a problem deciding on which tiny icon to click on. I'd prefer icons double the size, a simple + or - (minus) for setting/clearing keyframes, and something that is more visible with the dark themes.

    Can you please do a video on multi-cam editing, like what's done on live TV sports? For example, cam 1 is a wide view of the field, cam 2 is a closeup on the play, cam 3 is on the coach (to capture his reaction), and cam 4 is on the crowd. So as you play all 4 cams (one per track), you'll click on the best cam for that moment to show the viewers.

    14:02 - Manage Cached Data. There is another setting related to this which you can go to, located at Menu/Settings/Configure Kdenlive/Environment. Here there is a setting for "Warn if Cached Data Exceeds" where you can set the maximum amount of cached data you can have, after which you will receive warnings. On my installation, it's set to 1024 MB.

    I saw a similar fly through, using a green screen. The girl was reading a book in the library, and looking over her shoulder the right hand page was simply a sheet of green paper. The video then zoomed into the page and another video opened up showing her walking through campus. As I recall in the end, there is a reverse fly through showing her reading the same book. Do you suppose you could put together a video like this?

    I've seen credits for TV and cinema where the credits are in 2 columns. First column may show something like "Cinematography" which is right justified, and the second column uses smaller type any may list 4 names who were on the crew. This column is left justified. Can you create a part 2 of this video showing this more complex format?

    I did the same thing in Shotcut (except the preset by default was fast, not veryfast so the exporting time cutoff was WAY more drastic). I noticed no difference in quality, but did notice that the video file size was way larger, I think it's because the faster your preset is, the less compression is applied to the export, and compression is time consuming for computers so the rendering is faster but there's less compression so file sizes end up being larger. The opposite happens with slower presets, where it takes much more time to render due to the heavier compression, but file sizes end up being smaller, so if you have some space to spare and want to export videos faster, this is a pretty good way to do it, but if you run low on it, don't make the switch.

    I was using both until I bought my Canon R7 over a year ago. I ended up using DT since then. My main reason was RT was not reporting exif data correctly and DT was quick to include R7 support with noise profiles etc. I love DT for my use. RT may have more demosaic control compared to DT, but I don’t miss it really. DT is more actively developed and it is nicely featured- no need to look at LR etc
