Video games are one of the most influential way to advertise cars. Most car enthusiastic get their love for cars from video games. I think that's why Toyota left because their cars were not advertised enough on video nfs. Instead of Toyota say no to nfs, they just gave nfs the price they will not willing to pay. Video games can makes you like of dislike a car in real life IMO. It has a psychological effects on your love for cars. I never like RSR until I play nfs heat. I think Porsche gave nfs good deal

@Javic167 what he is saying is technically correct, the rsr basically kept its op stats from need for speed 2015, a game where their where not many new porsche in, ea was too lazy to nerf it for payback and heat or porsche was getting enough publicity from the rsr that they didnt spend the extra money. (The porsche was the literal cover car of nfs 2015, hence the brokeness).
What saves the Regera, and I think a lot of the other "top tier" cars is the Burst NOS. You let it build up at the beginning of a race and it will save a lot of the mistakes because Burst NOS cancells out any turning your car may be doing. If you're about to loose the back end, hit the Burst NOS and your car will immediately straighten out.

I have a perfect build McLaren F1. Dominated all lobby’s for the longest time. Then I raced against a good driver in a Regera and then a Bugatti. I lost to both. I wonder how the P1 GTR will do. Can’t wait to see all the cars stacked up.
P1 GTR has better handling but lower top speed. Tops out at 219.
Ferrari FXX-K is also a big threat, was using a 400+ Murci and got sent to Gapplebee's
That was probably me in the Bugatti, it tops out at 245.
I wish they would do something like releasing new parts or add in the concept of new tunes that could be released over time so that the cars used competitively online aren't the same 1 or 2. Mix it up and force experimentation.
They could also add a layer of tuning and parts combinations that, if you are really precise and methodicap, let'you take cars that aren't obviously the fastest and make them be seriously competitive. We would get so much more variety and incentive to play.

In Heat only about 10 to 15 cars were within 107% of RSR, I hope a lot more cars are within this gap from the fastest car in Unbound

@@cataldinho let me give you an example. A good driver car finish Aerion with time 2:42.5 using RSR, this is our 100%. A 107% of this time is about 2:53.8 and if a car is faster than this time then it mean it is within 107% of RSR.
In Formula 1 you are not even allowed to race if you are slower then 107% from the best time in qualifying.
In Heat only 16 cars are within 107% while in Underground 1 only 1 car is outside it, telling you just for the perspective.
Yeah I found the older miata with the Porsche engine to be quite a go kart. Even the RSR has trouble with it. Hell I sold my RSR in favor of the Miata lmao

Meta doesn't matter when 90% of the playerbase sucks at driving, most of the lobbies I've been in are extremely uncompetitive so far and anything works
this is true. Theres many races where I almost lapped the competition. But there were a few gems in there that had me on the edge of my seat and clinching the victory at the last moment. One race had my hands shaking at the end, lol.
@@husleman Need for Speed by nature has a driving where you either suck balls at it or it clicks and you dominate, there has never been a middle ground. I recall all the way back in Hot Pursuit 2010 playing online and either destroying the competition or having the biggest adrenaline rush of your life.

It still handles better especially for the Street races. And the M3 GTR with its base engine is very potent in Unbound.

You got any tips on grip tunes? I can feel my Murcielago understeer a bit too much at low speed turns, same thing with the Corvette C8 sometimes.
Play with the downforce and steering sensitivity.
That Burst NOS instant-grip is lifted straight outta MW05
The grip limit has been reduced on alot of cars that paired with the max engine hp nerf and the top speed for cars like the rsr being capped to 225 means that building most of the lower end cars to S+ kinda pointless
Light cars were only viable in heat because the max top speed of cars was capped to 224 so cars like the rsr, z and 71 skyline were all better choices than any of the modern super cars and hypercars

The skill gap is huge I don't think they should nerf it, but I do hope it doesn't stand at the top of the mountain 🏔️ alone, hopefully an update puts the F1 and the Bugatti up there beside it if they aren't already, both those cars can also reach 240+ mph in real life!
As far as the RSR it might be best to keep it at a S tier or even A+ tier and it might dominate there

I think the long format races yes because i haven't seen the technical racing and corns from heat alot of run and gun the rsr was the best because of how good it was at holding speed in those situations
Its still potent in street races and handles great. It will lose in most speed races because it reaches like 225mph at best. Most other cars push to 240.

@@SkylineGuy you can but it seems in unbound lower end cars dont seem to have the top end speed for S+ but that might all change with an engine swap n a new transmission. Also all the parts you put into the rb26dett engine cant be transferred over to the new engine in the engine swap you have to buy all new parts.

I wonder if there is a category where with proper engine swap it can be top tier. Its posible he is a monster in A,A+ or S. Ccars now dont need to have top of the line performance in S+, they can be very strong in lower tiers and see lots of use.

@@slof69 might be bugged. If you se that adding new tunes reduces level of the car while tunning it its a glitch. There are many glitched cars in B right now such a shame

If you're talking story, just about any car can win, just make sure they are the highest level you can get in that tier. I used only the free cars you get (and you get plenty of free cars) and had no issues beating the main story.

Burst nos is hilarious I was going into a turn at 200 with a friend of mine he slowed down like a normal person and I ripped the handbrake and tapped A taking that turn at around 180 bro started asking me questions like how the fuck did you do that 😂

Perhaps the Porsche 918 or the new Countach would have been a more financially wise decision tho. That roughly 1.1 million price tag hurt my soul.

Long story short the Regera is the queen of hyper cars in this game. It’s better than the f1 which is surprising.

Top speed doesnt matter too much in S class, as long as it can go 200 you'll be fine, but as for S+, yes.

Try the Lotus for S+ and you will see a circuit god, not the greatest for freeway races but definitely give it a shot.

I use a grip Porsche 97 Carrera S in A+ I only lose on highway tracks. I do 0-60 in 3.4sec and my max speed is 174mph.

No wonder the Regera is a hot car in NFS Payback story
The problem is, since like this game is like NFS carbon or hot pursuit (2010), having classes of cars instead of having the possibility to reach their maximum potential like most of the other games in the franchise, we will never see any cars of a lower class beat an upper class, and, like what happened with payback, when they unlock the limit of the cars (honestly, it will happen, a lot of people don't like to use only a fraction of the car pull), the RSR could possibly rise again as the top car in the game, at the end it was 3 times the best not only because it was fast, it was also because it had the best handling in the game, and if that isn't changed…
you literally could max out any car to S+.
I don't really care much for the RSR being dethroned, I'm going to stick with my Exige and be happy, even if it's not the best

I havent come across no Regera but I am undefeated in S+ races right now against every rsr Ive raced with the Golf Gti !! The top speed with it is 233 and the acceleration aint really that good its 3.0 but its grippy and fast its gotta be meta for sure test it out

That just looked like a grip run to me. The lack of grip+drift is clear at least to me, leaving one with way less burst nitro to use.
The questions I have are:
1. Is this truly the highest potential for the RSR?
2. Following the 1st question, is it using the best engine?
3. Is it using the best settings, etc. (Tuning and stuff)?
So, yeah. I believe this needs further testing even though from what I hear from him, it looks like he has tested it quite a bit. I guess I just need to wait further in Unbound's timeline to see what the community discovers. But, for now, it seems the RSR isn't clearly OP as it was before. 🤷🏻♂️
I'm assuming it has the best engine. With the proper Forced induction because as of right now that is the only part that is no longer the same as it was in heat where dual turbo is the best option. Some of the cars use the superchargers or turbos. Each actually affects your car differently depending on the track you run.
Best engine and tune for both cars is grip maxed out. I asked the driver in that side by side to “drive badly” with the regera. You’ll notice he has multiple crash cams using the regera and the time difference is still huge. By Multiple seconds the regera wins. Go out and drive the RSR and then drive a regera…you’ll understand. :)
Rsr might still be faster than segg and gatti in hillclimb-type races with many sharp turns and short straights
