There is a reason why most young Chinese Chefs are ripped as heck under their shirts. Handling the Wok is no easy task and holding the Wok, Rice and Ladle for 1 Minute without shaking takes weeks if not months of training :D Have Fun Alex! I found out today that a good friend of mine passed away. We would hang out every saturday and would save your videos to watch together. He was a huge fan of fried rice and was super excited about this series. I never got to watch it all the way through with him sadly but now every time I watch your videos or see fried rice I will think of him, and the memory of him will live on in a way that he would definitely approve of. Thank you Alex for you're hard work on putting together the stunning visuals and excited and intriguing dialogue that you always provide to inspire and entertain us wanna-be chefs. I will always look to your channel on saturdays, and pour one out for the fallen homies while I learn from you on how to better myself and the lives of others through the art of food.

Alex... this idea of micro steps and learning the minute details for your craft is so beautiful to watch you explore over and over. My daughter plays three instruments... and each, while having their similarities, takes its own brand of precision to master. I don’t often see people apply this to something like cooking... thanks for bringing us on your journey, and not shying away from the hard work it takes to master a skill.

You need a towel. That’s the missing key to this whole video. The weight is all focused on one small central part of your thumb and it’s hard metal. Placing a thick towel on the handle distributes the weight more broadly and evenly by opening the thumb up more. Give it a try. Cheers!
