Nobody has beaten 1.54 for a split time in an Olympic 4*200 relay, except Ledecky here and in Rio - in other words the two fastest Olympic relay splits ever.
this is such a silly stat when you realize it does not count lead off legs, which are actually often slower than relay starts ( because of reaction time).
@@iizzcool it does count lead off legs! I agree they have a longer reaction time, but so what? I was pointing out how fast she swam in the relays, that is not negated by lead off legs which are more than 1.54. Some people make the relays a priority.

This has to be one of the greatest swimming relay finals ever. Not only for the fact that China, the underdogs defied all odds to win gold in WR time but all 3 medallist teams broke the existing WR. The way every Chinese swimmer fought back in the last 50m of their swim was so inspirational to watch. Lastly, the female commentator is so bloody annoying. korean , kimchi and hanbok are Chinese, Huang Dae Hoon and Choi min jeong are cheaters ... you should know that china had multiple wr in women's 4×200 m freestyle relay
Not the fastest over 200m though, Titmus is. It should have been her anchoring and McKeon first, starting and finishing with strongest. Also by having a full team changeover between heats and finals they had no wiggle room with taking swimmers through, and if they had a spot they could have taken Mollie O’Callaghan through, who was faster than all the other finals swimmers bar Titmus off a FLAT start let alone a flying one, who knows how much faster she would have been in the finals off a flying start, which could have won the Aussies the gold. One of the biggest admin stuff ups of the games. At least they’ve fixed their problem now, WR is back in Aussie hands with the help of Mollie!
