I still maintain after all these years that JC Staff did NOT do a "Terrible job" on season 2 and people were blowing things out of proportions just because the animation quality dipped a little. Considering the tight schedule they got they done a very good job (and I recommend watching the blu-ray version that removes the dimming/ghosting effect that was made for people with epilepsy in the TV release). There are also upgrades to animation here and there on it too.
Agreed. Was it as good as Season 1? No, but it isn't as atrocious as some make Season 2 out to be. The blu-ray release actually polished the animation a little more. The movement looks less blurred and more fluid.

dont see them changing the formatting of the show, itll most likely stay to the 12 episode 24 minutes to be consistent. Its hard enough as is to animate this arc, imagine animating 45 minutes of insane action, thats not happening with any studio.

i don't think it's badly animated, some scene genuinely look great, if given enough time jc staff can cook. but the ghosting just ruined it for me, i can't even tell what happens most of the time, and instead of helping prevent seizures, it unironically made my eyes hurt.
I am one of the people who always defended the animation in season 2 animation and think people blew it out of proprtions just because they can't get over season 1's animation. Considering JC Staff schedule at the time, I say they did a great job (especially when you got actual stinkers to compare it to like Seven Deadly Sins S3).
This would absolutely suck due to the amount of content being cut/rushed. The only sensible place to end a 12 episode Season 3 would be Saitama vs. Orochi. Tho I hope they do 24 episodes, otherwise Genos would have absolutely nothing to do all season. But that being said, I’d rather have less content be covered so long as it is covered well, rather than more content being done half-assed. Hypothetically, a 24 episode Season 3 could end with the Heroes finally defeating Psykorochi and Saitama and Co. meeting Blast.
I think they would end in saitama figting orochi and revealing the god mural. So the pacing will be half of what you mentioned. The retcons were probably done for s3 to end in this way
@@animeanxiety its unavoidable, in your video they are already cramming a ton of content for season 3, I don't think JC staff or any animation studio can handle drawing and animating both orochi and psychorochi multiple times. If they end season 3 at saitama vs orochi, they can end the next part at them defeating psychorochi and pull an AOT season 4 where they make a movie for the finale. Its that or cram all the content into 2 seasons and without a doubt it will look rushed af. The only way I can see them doing it as suggested in your video is if they skip major fights and scenes or rush it, none of which I want to see.

there's no reason for them to cut content, thats not how any of this works. they don't do it by chapter, they do it based off how long each chapter is. the volume releases don't all have the same amount of chapters for that reason.
I would love it if maybe sometime you could go back and do video recaps of the manga from where season 2 of the anime ends! I have been binge watching your recaps but seems like there is a gap between the anime and where your videos pick up so I have to kind of guess what happened in some of the story. Love your content!

AnimeAnxiety I disagree. If season 3 went to where you said it would go, the pacing would be awful. There is so much content between volume 17-27, that putting it in a 12 episode season would make the season jarring in terms of its pacing. I am of the opinion that the season would end at a big fight/event. In season 1 it was Saitama vs Boros, in season 2 its Centichoro vs the heroes. Having it end with Saitama vs Orochi would not only have very good pacing, but take a huge load off JC STAFF who will be working on it. Also it would help the season be more cohesive. Making it end with 7 volumes worth of content with a big fight/event at the end, would be optimal. But at the end of the day, it depends on the script supervisor, directors and the heads of production of when Season 3 would end. It could end where you said, it might end where i said it might. I'm just saying it would be more optimal for both the fans and the staff, if Season 3 would end at Saitama vs Orochi.
In resume: It is going to end with episode 12. the Garou versus Super Alloy Dark Shine fight will conclude, leaving on a massive cliffhanger with Garou finally going under his monster transformation. But due to the need to show Psykorochi in action and Genos involvement, some scenes might be pulled from future chapters to make a satisfying season finale

they probably going to cut a lot of story. they did it with ragna crimson and other chapters of opm. they are currently working on moonlit fantasy which the animation is great and my expectations are high seeing what they can do in the show, especially with scale which is an integral part of opm. in that show they cut out a lot of story but somewhat works. think they can do it with the heros. it’s so much story to cover for one arc, it will definitely go on past saitama killing orochi bc that fight was quick and anticlimactic. that could lead to a lot of story playing out bc that fight is so short

I think they're going to fit the whole ark into this season, but play every episode at x2 speed and the tell everyone to watch the episodes at half speed so they can see it as intended, just to fit everything in there.

You're way too optimistic, in 12 chapters unless they scrap like big ass chunks of the manga there's no way we're getting to that point. Best bet is to leave it at orochi's fight end with the mural being revealed, and thats only if you want the least amount of content from the manga getting cut. On a side note, there's no actual good cliffhanger to end s3 on, literally everything moving forward is big fight after big fight until saitama beats garou and the whole arc ends, people are gonna be disappointed af when this season comes out lol.
It’s Obvious that season 3 it will end on Saitama killed King Orochi and god will have first appearance. I don’t think the final episode will end a cliffhanger that is Orochi Pskyos fusion. And also people should give Jc staff more credit than hate, Season 1 was animated by Madhouse and director Shingo brought alot of his friends and staff from Bones and Wit Studio with a clean schedule while Jc Staff did it their own and with a awful schedule, yet they still gave us some good animated fights such as Garou vs Tanktop master and Garou vs Genos They had to sacrifice Metal Bat fight and Tournament arc for all Garou fights
People need to realize that animes adopt volumes, not chapters. What’s the difference? Volumes release months, if not years, after the chapters that contain them, like the most recent volume, which was released a few days ago, have chapters that are 3 years old, and also, this arc has some chapters that are really long, like 50+ pages long; they aren’t going to adopt the whole arc. That much is clear; they're probably going to adopt up until Garou vs. Darkshine. (Also can't wait for twitter to lose its mind when they see Darkshine backstory)

Im gonna be honest, if JCstaff would happen to want to cover way more in detail what happened in the manga through that arc i would be ok if they take some more time to make release it or make it look better, maybe even make episodes longer to fit in more stuff, also if or whenever we get a season 4... I would hope it gets animated by ufotable knowing how much incredible stuff they have done before

they probably going to cut a lot of story. they did it with ragna crimson and other chapters of opm. they are currently working on moonlit fantasy which the animation is great and my expectations are high seeing what they can do in the show, especially with scale which is an integral part of opm. in that show they cut out a lot of story but somewhat works. think they can do it with the heros. it’s so much story to cover for one arc, it will definitely go on past saitama killing orochi bc that fight was quick and anticlimactic. that could lead to a lot of story playing out bc that fight is so short

Just watching this video and seeing the sheer amount of fights you think they're gonna animate (it's like 5 per episode), I'm just sadly expecting it to be rushed and poor quality. It's just too much and Murata's art is too strong. I hope I'm wrong.
I wonder if they surprise us and drop like season 3 with 12 eps and then 6 months after it ends we get season 4. So like they do 2 seasons at once which will give them a head start on season 5. I like the 12 episodes i hope they keep that for the rest of the show
I think they're going to fit the whole ark into this season, but play every episode at x2 speed and the tell everyone to watch the episodes at half speed so they can see it as intended, just to fit everything in there.

It really should be done like Bleach in Cours. Have the MA arc be in 2 Cours 12 episodes each. Having Season 5 still take place in the MA arc would be silly imo
if Season 3 is 12 ep than is might just take 2 y. if they want to do 24 that might be 4y+. oh and if they cut alot of thing in this Season 3 that just done the best part of this arc is all of the hero fight .

You're way too optimistic, in 12 chapters unless they scrap like big ass chunks of the manga there's no way we're getting to that point. Best bet is to leave it at orochi's fight end with the mural being revealed, and thats only if you want the least amount of content from the manga getting cut.
On a side note, there's no actual good cliffhanger to end s3 on, literally everything moving forward is big fight after big fight until saitama beats garou and the whole arc ends, people are gonna be disappointed af when this season comes out lol.

It’s Obvious that season 3 it will end on Saitama killed King Orochi and god will have first appearance. I don’t think the final episode will end a cliffhanger that is Orochi Pskyos fusion.
And also people should give Jc staff more credit than hate, Season 1 was animated by Madhouse and director Shingo brought alot of his friends and staff from Bones and Wit Studio with a clean schedule while Jc Staff did it their own and with a awful schedule, yet they still gave us some good animated fights such as Garou vs Tanktop master and Garou vs Genos
They had to sacrifice Metal Bat fight and Tournament arc for all Garou fights
End it with saitama vs arochi and gauro vs dark shine. Then season 4 can take place above the surface into the final fight.
People need to realize that animes adopt volumes, not chapters. What’s the difference? Volumes release months, if not years, after the chapters that contain them, like the most recent volume, which was released a few days ago, have chapters that are 3 years old, and also, this arc has some chapters that are really long, like 50+ pages long; they aren’t going to adopt the whole arc. That much is clear; they're probably going to adopt up until Garou vs. Darkshine. (Also can't wait for twitter to lose its mind when they see Darkshine backstory)

I honestly hope they just make one long season to cover the whole arc, and take their time doing so. The thing with the monster association arc is: I don’t think there are very many cliffhanger moments, since it’s pretty much a nonstop epic battle that keeps getting better. (Feel free to speak against if you feel otherwise). I’m really worried about being left on a cliffhanger because… well I don’t think season 4 will just be right around the corner 😅

I think it'll be 30 episodes because why would they tease garuo vs satimia in the trailer if it's not even teased in the acaul season then the content you covered could have been done in 2022 or 2023 and they announced production after the arc finished

The latest Physical Manga Volumes is about Pre-Awakaning Monster Garou's first appearance on the surface.
Also, the OPM S3's production was announced at Aug 18 2022...
They would need at least 2 years to animate it... from season 2 ending part to Psykorochi's fight, and it's probably going to split into 2 parts.
