Really.should have waited until he could afford a larger add-on, or planned a bigger structure from the beggining that included space for a bathroom...He's now seeing why 2X4's, and Celetex were invented...Building like he did costs a literal fortune, with a much lower appraised value...Though, a modern bathroom helps the value tremendously, only a small % of people are interested in fire only heating...

Hello! I want to apologize because some time ago I dared to give you advice on where you should best place the staircase that goes up to the upper floor. You kindly told me that this is where the access door to your bathroom would go. I shouldn't make those kinds of comments. I think, as a viewer, I should exclusively watch, learn and enjoy your videos. I wish I had the courage and entrepreneurial capacity that you have. Many times I dream of building a cabin like this, like yours, where I can live the rest of my life, far from the crowd and the noise of the big city where I now live. You are doing an extraordinary job. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom and extraordinary dedication. All the best. Carlos.

WOW! JUST found your channel. It came in on the list of coming up videos. All I had to do was see a cabin in the woods ♥️😊. My house is set way back from the road, woods on all sides. I’ve been here from 1984 to Mid March 2022- middle of the night fire 😪 Come spring, I got a small camper to set here and bring my husky who was in heet. My son who got stuck here when Covid hit to visit his dogs who I was tending while he was looking for a house in Nova Scotia. He’s a breeder and I knew how noisy his males could be wanting the female and never renting before thought perhaps take Sorcha out of the apartment for abit would be good
I planted my gardens, started picking up glass and doors insulation and anything else I could safely. They want $15000 to tear down the burned frame 😳😳 LIKE HELL even if I had that kinda money. So started out to be a couple weeks but I left when it was too cold … BUT spring spring and so did me and my dog and we came here in April. ♥️♥️ I tried every way possible to fit my wood stove in here but it’s not gonna work so I’ve been toying with the idea of building a small room on somehow to house the wood stove 😊. 🙏 My pension is very little but old age pension starts this winter THEN I can at least afford to get started somehow on living back here at HOME for the years I’ve left. Your place is gorgeous and is my life’s dream and how I’ve always wanted to live. I’ve subscribed 👍😊. Looking forward to binge watch all I’ve not seen

Probably #2 if you bought them from a Lowes or HD. We are planning our cabin build and it’s going to be very similar to what you have built and I have been trying to figure out the pitch for the main body. I was thinking it is a 12/12 but with the amount of courses on the gable end the math looks closer to a 14/12. I am a roof/floor designer and drawing it out on our software it looks like you have from the top plate to the peak is close to 8’. Also….what are your pitches for the bedroom and bath? Thanks for your help!!!
