My grandparents lived next to Pavonia Yard in Camden, NJ around 1970. I would go down to the yard and watch the trains all the time. I got a chance to drive a switch engine one day in the yard, thanks to a nice engineer. I also rode the Budd Cars to Atlantic City. It's something I have never forgotten. I moved from Jersey after getting out of the Army in the early 90s and took a job in DC. My wife is from Jersey as well and we both loved the shore, so we would load up the kids and vacation in Sea Isle every summer for years. While we were there, we would always see the Tuckahoe trains. I have pictures of my kids in front of the Blue Comet Temple car from July 2017. My kids and I model railroad O scale together, especially PRSL stuff. Awesome to see these cars saved. Thanks for saving part of our nation's history.
