Is the WACKY RIG as good a everyone says?

Today I went out to my local body of water in search of a massive fish while using the wacky rig. my first cast I caught a 3 pounder and kept saying first cast Lol I was in shock! LET ME KNOW DOWN BELOW IF YOU EVER USED A WACKY RIG?
