if you could render a space large enough then you could prolly make a playable minecraft on a computer inside minecraft. of course the screen in game would have to be huge! and the redstone would take years to create but I bet you could do it with some of the best programmers .

I have a deep appreciation for imagination. I promote it anytime I can, so I'll say this. I don't play Minecraft but I think that kids and adults alike that play Minecraft are people that play it are important. Imagination leads to innovation and limits that are in a game like Minecraft lead to great imagination. People make fun of a lot of things they themselves don't understand and its them who show how truly stupid they are when they do. Keep that in mind. Play what you like. I'm 32 and I like Nintendo Labo because I came up with an idea similar to it as a kid... all the technology in Nintendo Labo has existed since the 90's so to see it be used on a mass scale filled me with joy and I was disheartened to see so many people make fun of it. Still Nintendo is making more of it so they believe in it apparently and that inspires me. So if you like Minecraft play it, create in it, and explore those limits that others make fun of. you are the one that wins in the end.

The problem with that statement is that games like Terraria, or Dead Cells, or the End is Nigh have lower definition graphics as well, but can still look good. Simplifying it to Minecraft's point makes the game harder to play, worse creatively.
Andrew King luckily for the people who find Minecraft's 16x graphics unpleasant, there's a plethora of resource packs ranging from improved 16x, to 32x, 64x, all the way up to a few 512x ones... Not to mention theyre retexturing every block and item for the upcoming update (@JasperBoerstra on twitter) still going to be 16x, but much more visually pleasing
I used to play this game every single day with my friends. I think a lot of people believe that this game was ruined by little kids or something, but there were always little kids playing. It's just that we get older and the game just kind of fades away. It's really sad because I had some of the best times of my life on this game and it has changed so much. But it will always be one of the best video games ever made.

Nightmare Potato, One of the easiest ways to do that is to host your own server. There are many inexpensive Minecraft server-hosting services. Some are even free and supported by ads.
If you don't mind paying a little more for the convenience ($10 per month in total) Mojang offers a server hosting service itself. It has a lot of support and reliability, though some people dislike it because it's not as customizable as what you can get from independent server-hosting companies (and of course because it's more expensive).
A better option might be to just find a small pre-existing server with a culture that you like. That way, you and your friends can make more friends. There are many different servers to choose from with very different cultures/norms. Many require you to submit an application and be approved by other members to make sure that you're a good fit before you're allowed on.
Then do creative stuff like maps or plugins

You're forgetting that you can make a fully functioning computer in the game that is generated using another computer (ie how a computer generated a full replica of the Netherlands in minecraft).

it's really unfair how popular it has become to hate on Minecraft. It's such a beautiful, creative game. Most of the fun is playing different games online on servers though. How the play modes are engineered on servers is just as much an art form. Also, well-build maps are much easier to appreciate when you actually "do" something in them

I recently went on my Minecraft account and I was blown away at how I felt. This was a game that has been a huge influence on my life. Logging on for the first time in 4 years was crazy. The game had changed so much but yet still had the same ultiment feel to it. The soundtrack brought back so many good memories. Building cities with my friends was amazing. Finding ways to create houses to survive in. It gave me so much inspiration to become an real life architect that I am considering it to be the career I want to be involved in. No matter how many people hate on it, it will always be one of the best parts of my childhood

Let's be real here, Minecraft isn't, by itself, the best game in the world however it is highly customisable , allowing players to play it in different ways. Some have even used the in game electricity mechanics to build functioning computers and calculators from scratch. Not to mention the beautiful structures which take months to make. Some people have even recreated Hogwarts (search for that on youtube). Hating this game or loving this game mindlessly is stupid but there is a lot which we can learn from it and saying the opposite is short sighted. Thank you for this video.

I think that the entirety of redstone is considered more of the technical side of Minecraft. Like, you can do a lot of creative stuff with it, but it's mostly used to make contraptions and other sorts.

I agree Redstone Engineering is a form of Minecraft art that involves creativity and technical intelligence and that's why I'm training on becoming a Redstone engineer.
You can make computers from redstone. They function similarly with 0 and 1 binary functions.
I have a tip for you on redstone: Redstone is used for battles or maps like stuff (my favourite maps are undertale maps)

The reason Minecraft became something with a negative view from most gamers is the way the community treats the game. Many, many people (often kids) play multiplayer, on servers which have a limit to the things you can do in the game itself. Like for example gamemodes. I'm not saying that it's a bad thing but the point is that these things are what the current majority of the Minecraft community plays, while minecraft is meant to be a survival game, in which you can be creative with the default set of rules and tge indistinguishable artstyle of the game.

I'm not even sure how much 5 year olds see it as art. Soon enough they'll start to see how repetitive this content is - then how stupid it is - then how much of a cash grab it is - then how corrupt the creators of it are. That's not even because of them aging, it's just human nature. Curiosity is what drives the mind - and I hope it's what's going to drive people away from this content.
I wanna say that "they are art for 5 year olds" is an insult for 5 year olds, but now that I think about it, it's really just an insult for the human race. You know, not even the fact that anyone thinks it's art, but merely the fact that this content exists and was created by someone who thinks they can fool people into liking this garbage.

I know it means a lot to look cool right now, but when you get older, you'll realize that appearing "mature" doesn't really matter, and you'll be free to do whatever you like in terms of free time activities, even if they also happen to have younger kids in them.

Minecraft is a really beautiful game, but people dismiss the architects and engineers for the 12 year old kids that compose the majority of its fanbase. It's quite a shame, really.

Survival is boring if theres not more people around. If you get a group of NICE people (not the toxic people) and create games and competitions, it is a really fun time.

I have said this so many times that this is a copy and pasted message. The "community" isn't a thing. Each server has a SEPERATE community. Saying the minecraft community is cancer is basically saying 100 million+ people are all cancerous minecraft kids that ALL act the same.
If you can't handle pixelated words in chat, disable it in chat settings. If that's somehow not enough, just find a smaller server, there are a ton of small and close vanilla servers, pvp servers, creative, etc...
If the words above were not fitting your case, then you have seen this message because you're calling minecraft cancer because of a small portion of community. In that case, every game would be cancerous, because atleast one person who plays every game is 'cancerous'.
So please, play multiplayer (or don't judge a book by a phrase on the frist page), because you are missing out like hell in multiplayer. Everything is more fun, and feels like it matters more with other people playing as well.

I used to play Minecraft single player from 2009 until quite recently when I went on Multiplayer servers with Ts3 servers. There were so many toxic kids, I had to bear with them until July, when I was the top player in a minigame and kept getting roasted and called really nasty names (with swearwords, their voices were quite high pitched anyway) and I quit... I haven't returned to Minecraft since, but just go on single player worlds to create stuff... those 12 year olds really ruined the game for many people.

She's been really getting into the creative building aspect of it, playing around with commands and mods and everything.
