Also still need to finish Kankra. But I have had back pain for a while now, so I'm not able to sit down for longer periods of hobbying. So I'm progressing very slow :(

The unreleased miniatures dwarves miniatures are some of the best out there, absolutely love what you did with the whole project! I've always wanted to make some spear and shield conversions out of khazad guard to run them as iron hills since I'm not a big fan of the hobbit aesthetic.

@@windrushwargamers2745 I've been trying to transition to using brass rods for all my miniature spear needs just to keep them from bending or breaking too easily, though those prints look very nice. I had an idea to blue stuff cast Murin's shield with the raven on it for all of them, but I'm not 100% decided yet! Still trying to juggle a heap of Arnor conversions as well.
@@Draculord666 Never done the brass rod trick, might have to give it a go. Where do you buy it from? Murin's shield on all would be a nice touch. Oh I know the struggles bud, juggling a few things right now. That's the beauty of the hobby.

Some companies do sell their own though, I know footsore miniatures sell steel ones in bulk for a great price! Might have to shop around for widths though to suit your needs.
@@windrushwargamers2745 I bought a Box of Riders, Crossbows, Spearmen (Speardwarves!) and twohanded axes. Most of them will be uniformed but some will be converted with heads of characteristic models of GW.

Been wanting to do it for a while, but still started off without a full plan on how to do it's wings. Had an idea during the week and I think it's worked... 🤞 It's all built, green stuffed and converted. I'll be painting it next, so there's still time to ruin the wings 😅

I have some Wanderers of the wild laying around. Tom, barliman, goldberry. Thought of making a fun little hobbit army around them with Gandalf! But I want some unique looking hobbits!
King Earnur's gondorian army. I think GW are leaving money on the table by not mining the history of Gondor. The wainrider war could be a whole source book to itself.

@@windrushwargamers2745 My long term project is an orc army inspired by Andurz's Angmar project. Basically a bunch of orcs and goblins, bashed from whatever kits I could find. Imagine that after the death of Sauron the surviving orcs gathered around local warlords. Now each warlord has their own tribe with it's own themes and preferences. It's not explicitly LOTR, but it's conservative enough, that I could use it as an orc army ... if I ever finish it. My short term project #1: Female Space Marine(s), because I have a Holga lying around and there was a challenge on Twitter. I don't usually kitbash space marines, but I had some bits from an older project. My short term project #2: A 50x50cm terrain bit of a ruin as a test piece. I haven't worked with non-foam bricks before, so this is a bit of an experiment.
Agreed, I feel like the old sculpt is nice enough, maybe they could have made names/ different profiles for the old Balin/ Dain Ironfoot models. Just so they would get more time on the table. A shame to waste them. Thanks, I wanted to do him justice. What are you working on right now?

I used Medbury for Moria expedition dwarf characters. They paint up wonderfully.
