    Name: Golconda Fort
Location: Hyderabad, Telangana state, India, Asia
 Golconda Fort is situated about 11 kilometers west of the city center of Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana state in southern India.
 The fort was initially constructed in the 11th century as a mud fort by the Kakatiya dynasty.
 It was later fortified and expanded by the Qutb Shahi dynasty (16th Century) who transformed it into the impressive structure seen today.
 The fort complex includes four distinct forts within its walls, with palaces, mosques, halls, and temples spread throughout.
 Golconda Fort was historically renowned for its diamond mines, particularly the Kollur Mine located nearby.
 The famous Koh-i-Noor diamond and other notable gems are said to have originated from these mines.
 Today, Golconda Fort is a popular tourist attraction, drawing visitors for its historical significance, architectural splendor, and panoramic views of Hyderabad from its highest points.
 The fort is easily accessible by road from Hyderabad city, and it remains open to visitors throughout the year, except for certain holidays.
