      Though I have to ask by where are you exactly aiming to stop? If with low brakes you are almost at the end of the runway, that is fine as that is standard procedure.

      because you are not a professional pilot and most likely just a kid! and only fly PC games, these pros are dealing with REAL people and lives. AND by the way, while MSFS is great eye candy, the AC do not reflect or act like real AC.Thats where X-Plane shines!

    Nice approach and video. I can't tell from the video if it's displaying the FMS "green doughnut" computed from the CF to the runway (and if you'd even be looking for that to assist you in the vertical profile). You earn your wages.

    there are no VOR charts to land on PARO I wonder, is this approach visual? Are RNAV RNP procedures not used in 2022?

    • @ZK-APA
      @ZK-APA ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its an RNP approach, but instead of ending at the runway threshold, it ends much before, from where is then flown as a visual approach (IE an RNP approach ending with a visual segment)

    • @rotaero
      @rotaero ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ZK-APA
      Yes, I know the RNP approaches with visual segment, but that's not what I see in this case. I saw many videos and compared with flight radar 24 and from what I see the pilots fly SUBSU, after TAKTI, after VOR of PARO (PRO) and then fly visual until landing. Currently (December 2022) there is no approach chart (IAC) that starts with TAKTI. Analyzing the charts, the procedures for both runways start via PR888 or PR777 and do not go through the VOR. Are procedure RNP 0.3 miles of maximum deviation! From what I understand the pilots are still using old charts or are not doing RNP as published. Compare recent flights on Flight Radar 24. Hugs.

      @@rotaero Have a look at the official AIP charts of paro here
      www.doat.gov.bt/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/AD2_1-Aerodromes-VQPR.pdf
      PS Jeppeson is used as standard for pilots, but it is derived from the AIP chart ie the AIP chart is the official chart, from which jeppeson makes their charts. Hence AIP information supersedes jeppeson information if there is a difference.

    Most Dangerous Airport on the globe, selects min Autobrake like a boss 😎

    • @ZK-APA
      @ZK-APA 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Medium brakes here are not always required, especially considering the aircraft has to reach the end of the runway to initiate the backtrack.
      If medium brakes are used in such a situation, chances are you'll stop early, but then you'll have to then taxi ahead to the end of the runway, which adds an extra step.
