    Joe, I have been following you for quite a few years now and I have to say I admire your hard work ethic and dedication. I get tired just watching you LOL!! You are taking on more work just about every episode I watch, and you do it mostly by yourself with no help from anyone. Truly amazing. Keep up the great content!

    Joe, As for the the gate for the cow shelter, (hotel, lol, JK). As a skilled Carpenter, (anyone that can and make a handle for a scrub-brush-WoW 😃😃) I'm sure you could build a pretty strong and functional gate as a project in your workshop during the winter when your "snowed in". Install it next spring, until then... use the chain. For the junk pile... Hire a local excavator to clean it up for you ( on camera,... it would make a good video... and probably a good deal😃). Just a few suggestions Sir. Have watched for years++ and I look forward to watching the development of the Farmstead. I am also looking forward to Melissa's new "Farmhouse" cooking videos...👏👏

    You remind me of my husband so much. He always fixes my stuff like that. He will put new handles on things, weld things back together, repair furniture, etc. I always tell him he reminds me of MacGyver. He asks me every day if I have any projects he needs to work on so he can give them priority over the rest of the regular farm chores he has to do. That's why I love watching your videos so much. You and Melissa remind me of us and it's just like going around the farm with my husband. Thank you for your hard work to share these with us. It is very much appreciated! Y'all take care and be safe! 👍😊❤

    I think that you need to run a couple of horizontal rub boards on the inside of your shelter. Cows will rub on the walls and without the rub boards you stand a good chance of them knocking sheeting off, 2 boards on each side gives them something to rub on and saves the sheeting.

They can put their heads in to drink without splashing the water all over.Also you should put a rock in the duck pool so the chickens can get out if they fall in. I love your videos . • @NorthernSeclusion
      @NorthernSeclusion  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      We may bottle feed them right from the start. It has advantages and disadvantages. We have until spring to figure that out. Once we start discussing that more I will add the thoughts into the videos. Right now the main advantage to having her on the mom is the fact that you can leave for a couple days and mom will be fine getting milked by the calf but there are several reasons that separating them right away is good also. With an orphan of course we will bottle feed. Now about that dream? Lol.

    I think you amd Melissa efforts are awesome. But you will never survive a nucercala winter up there. You might have a chance if you move to new Zealand. Sweet dreams.
