Love the mid race editing to look at certain incidents when they happen...it works well Dave.
It fascinates me how you are just chilling at the back, getting off throttle and being super passive and still be faster then me doing my best with q settings. Awesome driving
I tried it myself in endurance races and it proved to be faster. You get more consistent, your inputs are smoother etc. and in the end - you're faster (or at least still as fast).
I do love the new Ferrari although what I really wish is they would bring us a new McClaren as it’s been ages since we got one.

The hit that removed your wing shouldn’t have happened. And if you had no wing at all your car wouldn’t have handled as well as it did, just a few seconds behind those two cars. Plus, no wing you should have had more straight line speed 🤷♂️ Irqcings damage model still needs work. Good scraping Dave 😉

that merc that turned in on you on lap 19 is unbelievable, I don't understand how people feel like they can drive like there isn't anybody else on the track.
Great patience, Dave. If you had mirror #1 ON you might have seen the spoiler missing? I wonder if that would have helped or hurt your effort. Obviously you felt the car problem, so kudos. Keep ‘Em coming you are entertaining to watch.

Good race Dave. I love how you remain cool in the face of carnage. Re: the mid-race replays, I think I preferred seeing the incidents at the end, as, having shown us exactly what happens mid-race, we can't really engage with any speculation about an incident (such as the netcode incident in this race). Anyway, great videos as always, whichever way you choose to go!

The slow down was a killer... .like the longer format races though Dave.
Just A thought Dave, I have four screens running iracing in triple screen windowed and then the fourth screen up above for OBS and others things. If I take the mouse to the fourth screen and click anywhere without returning the mouse to click anywhere on the triples, for whatever reason I will get random stutters, click the mouse anywhere on the triples, runs perfectly smooth. It may not help but again, just a thought.
So i'm 50/50 on the instant replay, on the one hand its nice to see what happened, on the other hand we can't get angry with you any more when it is in fact just netcode 🤣
I’ve lost my A license and 400 IR to this car track combo. Not coming back for a while.

With the AMG, I think you up-shift gear too late. When the blue rpm line switch for the big red rpm line, at this moment you have to up-shift the gear! It will helps you to have a bigger run on the other cars!😉

Very nice. Any chance well get more track guides, like the traxionGG ones for the MX5? Been using those for the previous two weeks on summit point and okayama, wich was really fun, but for the current virginia short track none of the other people making them seem to be able to convey it like your guides.

drove one race with the new ferrari instead of my regular Audi R8 or M4, qualified well only to leave my qualifying setup with 2 laps of fuel in the car, and went from P4 to 24th at the end of lap 2.

He had a PC performance issue with the 4k. Too bad as I love the HDR I get on an OLED, although iRacing is all VR anyways.

VS when I watch People Play RFactor or ACC it's more More Chaotic like the Real thing

Interesting how you lose your reach wing and go slower in a straight line. You would think losing the drag that the wing provides would allow you to go faster! LOL I guess there was some other damage as well.

Treat yourself to a 4090 Dave. I use 1 4k monitor and the GPU sits around 40% usage when I cap the frames to 120 fps lol.
isn't there a button now to get the spotter to tell you your damage? coulda used that to figure out if your wing was missing maybe?
I was using crew chief so always turn the iracing spotter off.

No rear wing SHOULD make it faster on the straight, not slower.
What setting do you have the shadows at in the APP.INI? A high setting hammers your FPS

I have an Intel i9 10900k and an RTX 3090. My graphics settings are pretty much cranked right up 👍

@TheFrontyer They might be, but not on the aero side. I say that because the car would be undriveable at speed with the aero on the front and no wing. Now down the straitaway it would be very fast once the tires hooked up, but thru the corners it would like driving in the rain with slicks.
@@sky194I think this was a case of the damage model glitching out, I remember a previous race Dave lost his wing and had to retire early because the car was unmanageable.

Honestly nothing has convinced me that iRacing shouldn't abolish the slow down penalty. It causes more hazards (especially at the lower splits), it's unrealistic to any racing I've ever watched, and frankly, I don't think anyone's race should be more-or-less ruined because they took just a little bit too much kerb on one corner. I really don't understand why something like rF2's system is unworkable here, or just give time penalties to be served on the next pit stop, or added on after the race.
"We got loads of fuel. Could've put less fuel in" ... uh Race Labs told you 26 gallons, and you decided to way over fuel.

I agree but he’s driving with mostly guys who are trustworthy and won’t stop short vs. the jackwagons I often have to drive with in my splits.

Embarrassingly Dave drives Monza quicker with a bent car an no rear wing … than I do in a perfectly straight car .

iRacing netcode is a joke. Assetto Corsa Competizione is miles ahead in that regard
