Appreciate your kind response. My sincere suggestion is that if you have not been initiated into the Mantra, you should chant "Namah Shivaya"., without the "Om". This can be chanted loudly and also in the mind.
Shiva tattva is Guru Tattva. The one that leads you to the Lord. Shiva tattva is very important to overcome the material plane. Beyond the Shiva tattva is Vishnu Tattva which belongs to the spiritual domain. Without the permission of Shiva and Parvati Devi, or Guru Sadhana, Bhagavat Sadhana is not possible. Shiva or Rudra forms such as Hanumanji, are vital for a sadhaka to graduate into Vishnu tattva or the Paramatman aspect. In some cases Shiva tattva identifies itself as Bhagavat Tattva, but the Goal of Shiva tattva is to take you to final resting place, to Vishnu tattva. The physical Guru is called the Vyeshthi Guru and Shiva Tattva is the leader of all individual Guru tattva and represents Samasthi tattva. The Vyeshthi and Samasthi Guru are two aspects of Guru Tattva, needed to purify consciousness. Only after sufficient purification, the state of Parahamsa level is reached beyond which attaining the Vishnu tattva is possible.
@@SpiritMeaning But I have also heard of the opposite that Shiva has the highest tattva, higher than Vishnu. Even the earliest scriptures speaks of Shiva, the Rig Veda like Sri Rudram and the oldest God known to mankind is said to be Rudra/Shiva. But on the other side one of the 1000 names (Sahasranamam) of Lord Vishnu states as: "Om Shivaya namaha", meaning He (Lord Vishnu) is Lord Shiva and another name out of the Vishnu Sahasranamam follows as: "Om Pranavaya namaha". So how can one solve this problem, is there a hint anywhere in the scripture that solves this issue?
@@Rama_Rama_Rama Shiva and Vishnu ji are non-different. This is the view of Satvika Scriptures and the sages. The Shiva mahapurana is an old scripture that says that Lord Shiva is Superior to Lord Vishnu. The Bhagavata Purana states that Lord Vishnu is the most superior. The Devi Purana says that other than Devi there is no one superior. You cannot understand the Scriptures without the help of a perfected spiritual master who has realized that all forces are Brahman and that Lord Vishnu, Devi, Ganapathy, Karthikeya, Surya Narayana and Lord Shiva are all one. They manifest different Potencies. If you become a True devotee of just one Devata out of these 6 Devatas, you will realize the nature of Brahman and the knowledge of all the Supreme Forms of the Lord shall come to you automatically. This Secret is revealed by Sri Adi Shankara. But at the same time, being devoted to one form is necessary in order to develop single-pointed devotion. Just as you focus the sun at one point with the Lens and can cause fire, you have to accept any one form of the Lord, as mentioned in the Scriptures. Sri Adi Shankara has described the 6 forms out of which you should take one. The 6 Sampradayas depict one of these Devatas as Supreme. So, if you have the Bhakti of Madhwa or Ramanuja for mahavishnu, the Bhakti of Avvaiyar for Lord Karthikeya, If you worship Sri Gajanan Maharaj as the form of Ganapathy and take initiation in Shegaon, If you follow the Saurya Sampradaya, or the followers of teh Sun God, or follow Adi Shankara's Shaiva System with All humility, you will come to the conclusion that all these forms are non-different. When you come to this conclusion, you shall attain liberation. Till that time you are lost in the wilderness of the Shastras which are vast, like a lost child drowning in the ocean of knowledge, without a Guru to take you across the ocean of Shastras.

Namaste Damodar Das ji🙏. I am concerned about the speed in which the mantra needs to be chanted. Is the speed at which a mantra needs to be chanted predetermined? Please help me understand this 🥺
Just like you read a book in normal speed, repeat the mantra. This is the thumb rule. As the mantra becomes closer to you, the speed may increase, but that should not be your focus. Focus on the syllables and the deity, the mantra speed is not very important.
Yes, Chanting Namah Shivaya without Om is same. The Best benefit is to desire for the Guru, chanting the Namah Shivaya mantra. You will get your Guru by the Lord's name. Then Guru will guide you step by step towards solving all your material problems, without giving weightage to what you want and only provide what you need. Karmas will be there, but with perfect Guru's assistance, you will slowly cross the ocean of ignorance into a successful happy life.
You can chant namah Shivay or Om namo narayanaya for a similar effect of param anand and param siddhi. Sri Ram Jay Ram Jay Jay Ram is also very ecstatic mantra
No ecstasy has nothing to do with mantra siddhi directly. Ecstasy is just a temporary feeling of relief or freedom. This feeling is attained only during the intial stages of mantra sadhana. But when you become a regular chanter, your natural state of being is heightened and you remain ever free of stress. When ecstasy becomes a permanent feature, you will not feel it separately. Mantra Siddhi is when all aspects of life will start becoming complete. When perfect mantra siddhi happens, all aspects of life will become complete. All unwanted desires will dissappear. Only essential aspects of life will become full in life. The mantra will take over and protect you. You will start knowing about your future and see that happiness feeling will become profound, rich with bhakti and faith. Your life will become perfectly spiritual and no material desire will trouble you. You will depend only on your Ishta Devata and He or She will become your care taker. No unecessary toxic thoughts will ever come in your purified mind. That is mantra siddhi. After mantra siddhi, the mantra may not remain with you. It will make you full, complete and then leave you.
@@tonyjadhav9868 Ecstasy, many people feel is something big. But it is not so, in my personal experience. You cannot remain ecstatic all the time. Ecstasy is experienced when you experience something which you have never experienced. An extreme sense of joy, I call it. But when you are joyful for 24 hours, where is ecstasy? With the mantra siddhi, you would have attained the maximum potential of your being and you will live life to the fullest. For example, when there is night, you can say that day exists. Similarly, when you are at your maximum energy why will you feel high separately? You will be high always, and others may feel that you are ecstatic, but then ecstasy will become your nature on the attainment of mantra siddhi and you will not experience ecstasy separately.
What is effect of chanting if we don't take Sankalpa. Will it fullfill all our genuine and day to day needs if it chanted everyday without restriction on the number of days?
Sankalpa may not be necessary if you are already a regular chanter. But if you are new to chanting, Sankalpa helps in formulting and resolving your subconscious to complete the process once taken up. Yet, if you are insincere or not serious enough even sankalpa won't help!!
@@SpiritMeaning Thanks for your reply. I don't have a perticular wish and want over all well-being and security and I wish to chant it everyday without restriction like 11, 21 or 48 days. Is Sankalpa needed in such scenario? Does this mantra require diksha?
The mantra does not require deeksha. But you would require guidance for certain experiences that may come your way; this is because you may not have the ability to understand what's going on, when situations change overnight and your mind becomes overwhelmed or confused, as your chanting progresses. Sankalpa is required. Since this mantra does not have the beejakshara, you can chant it. You can ask for guidance, to the mantra and the mantra shall guide you proportionate to your sincerity and rigor. Finally, only good shall be the result. This is my personal Sankalpa, which I undertook before I did this video, for the good of all.
That is the way Sanskrit works. In the Namah ''ah' is not silent. Sometimes when you say the mantra many times, because of the fast chanting, it becomes difficult to hear the 'ah' sound. However with slow chanting the 'ah' ideally is prominent. But many times we may also see that it is not prominent. The 'ah' actually infers the Self, Namah means I bow down to the Self. The Self can take the form of any deity. Your inner Self is like "Swatah", my Larger Self. However, we should focus more on Bhaava or mood. Then, if Bhava or expression is genuine, the Deity will start manifesting in your life. The Life of the mantra is more about the deity and the mood and less about the letters. This, is my personal experience.
