    And yet the Picard show is one of the most unrelentingly dark and violent things to exist in Star Trek.

    • @BradTheAmerican
      @BradTheAmerican 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Deep Space Nine has lore about a 60-year military occupation of an entire planet where over a dozen million people were murdered. Plenty of others were sent into labor camps to die too and hoards of women were stolen from their families to be turned into sex slaves. Star Trek has always had dark and violent things sprinkled throughout. The galaxy is a terrible place when you leave the cherry-picked life of the Federation.

  • @carneyartglass9099
    @carneyartglass9099 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Do you think we’ll ever have a heroes version of Star Trek where all the people who get to leave earth get to leave earth because they were the greatest heroes in the history of mankind, and now they face prejudice for it, so they don’t fit in in a modern society. How bad would it be if people are still clinging to the old Star Trek when we have a new one that involves returning the favor to the heroes all of society owes a tremendous debt of gratitude to.

    • @jaerivus
      @jaerivus 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's an inspired idea. I enjoy the conflict of a meritocracy that puts people into the roles of sci-fi militaries we've come to hold as heroic (like the Federation or Rebel Alliance), and the resentment that would surely arise from the portion of humanity denied that privilege.
      Naturally, you'd need more to flesh out a series pitch, but that's a novel place to start.

      @@jaerivus Yeah, it’s funny you know I start writing something like that and I don’t even wanna include real accurate descriptions of what the characters look like in the book because i wanna fit them with like the perfect actual hero from real life as the actor instead of just trying to make everybody look like Some kind of village people rainbow of skin color affirmation That has lass heroism than Ryan Seacrest lol. 😂
