    Everyone talks about the slaves becoming radiants and how that was a good trade, but remember Dalinar did this for what he saw a normal men, not for magical knights. That was just a bonus

      Dalinar was doing his best to keep up his word on freeing them. It was always about repaying a debt to, at the moment, strangers who were crazy enough to face countless enemies in order to save his life and the lives of his men

      Thats true, to me those comment read like "Sadeas had no idea how valuable Kaladins crew were, what a dope". Now of course Dalinar didnt know how valuable they were either, but he cared enough about his men to investigate and find out

      @@kyle18934 he is one of the more wild radiants but dalinar at least in some respect knew what he was getting, not a full day before kaladin showed up rallied, saved, and took command of dalinar a army, did shardbeeer level work vs a pashendi army and then finally charged and wounded a shardbearer to save dalinar.

      It is worth your time. What starts out as a rather bleak and dreary logbook of suffering (and some pretty good intrigue and world building, because yknow, fantasy) but it turns into this massive sprawling adventure. Very much worth your time.

      The books are great. But the audiobooks are done very well too. I personally prefer the audiobook since I can listen to it while driving.

    I find the best quote is his speech denying Odium his pain. He does one of the most painful things a man can do, accept his past mistakes where his fault, but without them he could not be who he was today

      Wait, does GraphicAudio sound this good? Cuz if that's the question... yes, a thousand times yes. This is how I experienced Stormlight Archive for the first time, and I'm so glad I did. It brought the whole world to life in a way I'd only dreamt of.

      @Dangre Noodel Google it (or whatever your preferred search engine is). This clip is from the GraphicAudio version of Stormlight. It's an audiobook but with music and sound effects and individual voice actors.

    Dude, I loved the images at the end. Kaladin and Dalinar, dirty and bruised faces. After going into war for so long and specially after such a crazy battle, they have to look like this. It completed the scene so well

    I know I'm pretty far behind, as I've only finished TWoK, but man....I don't remember ever reading anything as voraciously as this, not even the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series....Kaladin is one of the most intriguing characters ever, and so is Dalinar. Shit, even Sadeas is fascinating.

    I really love the production value of these GraphicsAudio readings. but they mix the music and sound effects WAY too loud. especially during battles and big scenes, you can't hear the words being read out.

      Mistborn is the more action packed series, but God damn, when the action ramps up in Stormlight Archives, it is absolutely riveting.

    Kaladin was literally already worth a full shardbearer at this point, and had just fought half an army of listeners
    One shardblade is such a steal
    Kaladin has to date actually 100% lost like 2 real fights, 1 while hospitalized, and the other against 12 immortal fuzed, and an unmade possessing a man with 2 blades and full plate(giving access to 9 surges) while being distracted and defending another person, all of this alone, and he was like a few spheres from winning when someone else came in and felt the final blow on a single enemy
