I agree with Matt on most everything but I think cosmetic surgery for adults should remain legal. Someone wants to get a breast augmentation is not the same as an anorexic getting diet pills. Diet pills for an already under weight individual will most likely cause extreme harm or death. The former will not.
But NEVER should a man.., not even a man who has undergone genital mutilation, be allowed into women spaces or sports. Biology is real. Sex differentiation commences at the moment of conception and no cosmetic procedure or synthetic hormonal regime changes a humans biological sex. Reinstate the human rights of woman as a distinct half of humanity that NEVER includes males.
Although I agree with you generally there need to be exceptions. Just like diet pills can be effective and healthy for some people, coametig surgery is dangerous for people who have a self perception that is so warped it's indistinguishable from a mental illness.
Matt Walsh and compassion don't belong in the same sentence. His anti-trans crusade is all about furthering his career. As soon as he had a viral moment in an interview, the internent was plastered with his ads to subscribe to his show. He may have a few obvious elements of truth on his side, but he's clearly using it cynically to further his career. I've seen his articles on trans issues from many years ago, and all he does is mock and belittle the struggles of others. This is a garbage human as far as I'm concerned.
What stood out to me was at 10:42 when this man said he had been sexually abused. Huge red flag. It sounds to me that this poor kid needs more help than he's getting to deal with the sexual abuse. Changing genders is most likely not the answer.
wow, i found his answer condescending, dismissive, and belittling. he also builds his argument on a number of logical fallacies, including attacking the straw man. "don't listen to me, i'm not the authority" he says, then started raise his voice at the end, which no doubt is what authority typically sounds lke. this isn't what sober discourse sounds like. he really should just shut up and listen.
I worked for a plastic surgeon for years. He graduated in art and then felt if he could create art and portraits, why couldn’t he do the same thing for people who NEED it. He NEVER changed peoples gender and NEVER even enhanced breasts. He helped burn victims or car crash victims or women who had medical problems if their breasts were very large and were causing posture and back problems. I witnessed him personally tell people he could not perform certain procedures because he had MORALS and he did not become a plastic surgeon to change people, he did this because he felt he could help in certain circumstances.
even still; an argument can be made of the morality of making someone's life better. il use myself as an example; I've always been extremely self conscious about my droopy nose to the point it hindered my whole childhood and adolescents AND still to this day I will stand at/ take pictures at or even avoid certain angles so that whoever I'm speaking to is looking at my face on and not my side angle. personally I believe a slight uplift to my nose would have done my confidence absolute wonders. maybe my life trajectory could have went another way (for better or worse, I'm not sitting on the fact that it definitely would have made me objectively happier) however my personal belief is that if everything went to plan I would have been happier. I never really got interest from women even though I'm 6ft 2 with a decent body and actually a decently attractive face but only when being looked at head on lol... but I genuinely believe my nose shape turned most girls away. I want to separate myself from those people who actually are attta tive and don't have any 'off putting' features yet still feel like they need surgery. i think that's a slightly different issue and one where morality comes into it more... but then i question myself on wethwe I can or cannot judge somebody else's subjective view of themselves. the same way I feel about my nose (which genuinely is quite a rare looking nose I'm not just being a perfect tionist or delusional) somebody else might feel the same way even though their nose would be deemed way more 'normal' shaped than mine... its hard to tell someone they're being delusional when it's what they see. again, I'd like to distinct myself from being a perfectionist or delusional here by saying I genuinely think my nose isn't normal shaped by any means and most people would deem it unattractive
@@gxqx797 i think its very common for people to focus on a body part they don't like, placing way too much importance on it. I"m not sure surgery fixes the persons mental perception of themselves. That trans man was so brave to put himself out there when he knew he was in a room full of people who disagreed with him, would not affirm him, or would even downright hate him. I applaud him not only for standing and asking a question, but also just for simply showing up to hear a lecture coming from the opposite side of the aisle. Not many people do that; most prefer an echo chamber.
I Think it was very brave and compassionate for Matt to tell that young man that he’s being lied to and he’s being taken for money and that Matt was telling him the truth that was bravery
@@NationFirstGreenville22 I don't know, maybe doxxing, random assaults, swatting, etc. Come on now, conservatives risk quite a bit when they speak so pointedly in public. That being said, Matt Walsh is incredibly thoughtful when speaking to people like this.
Far too much credit there. The least we expect of society is civil engagement and rational, polite discourse. It wasn't brave in the least. There SHOULD be an echo chamber on this subject.
Same sex marriage actually brought much more stability to the lives of the gay citizens, who have always been here and who have never denied reality. It brought so much more stability to the extended families of gay people as well. Like heterosexual marriage same sex marriage has been a conservative force for good.
That’s one area where I really disagree with Matt. His approach is too tied to his religion rather than purely on data and real analysis. Experts like Dr Debra Soh have said that sexual orientation isn’t changeable. A gay person can no more make him/herself attracted to the opposite sex than can I convert to being gay. I agree that same sex marriage has been a net positive and shouldn’t be viewed as in anyway tied to transgenderism nor trans ideologies. The T really has no justification for being part of the “LGBTQ, etc…” They have little to nothing in common other than T’s have been categorized as having “queer identities.”

That trans guy has some balls actually going up there and asking a serious question that he seemed genuinely concerned about. I hope he took what the response was in and reflected then made his own mind up. Wish dude all the best frfr. Hope he can find happiness.
That young man who is having trouble with his masculine identity, I believe deep down inside knows surgery or medication will never make him "happy", just as a bottle or snort or injection or puff will never make the addict "happy", what he's hoping for is something that will numb his depression and dysphoria, and I can understand that desire. But Matt is correct when he says these people are being mentally abused by a deceptive and destructive group of evil doers, who consistently latch-on to various mental issues for either monetary reasons or to use as political weapons for power and control. I hope that young man (and others like him) can find the courage to address his core problem in a reality based manner, and maybe have some peace in his life.
"These people are being abused" where in this person's account did they mention abuse? In reality it is Matt who has supported the abuse of transpeople by suggesting that it is ok to make fun of them
@@amyh3223 When a person makes the decision to ignore reality/truth and then "medical professionals" go along with that delusion and the person falls deeper into despair and depression to the point of wanting to physically harm themselves, and the medical system in place that is bound by law to "do no harm" does the opposite and goes along with the delusion and offers to perform surgery or pass out dangerous medicine, that is abuse. Just that I have to explain this very basic concept to you is evidence of your unwillingness to live in reality. ...and, not sure where you saw Matt or anyone "making fun of them", but then again your grasp of reality is questionable, so I'll assume you just made it up.

I hope he can find some happiness in life and may god bless him. I have to remember that beyond all the screeching freakish actors pretending to represent that group, there are real kids suffering, and I'd say suffering terribly, and they need and deserve our help. Maybe surgery IS helpful to some of them. More information is required.
I always hear from proponents for gender affirming surgery for minors that one of the main reasons we should allow this is due to the mental health toll that not having this surgery will have on these minors. What I don't hear enough of is the negative impact it could have on someone who has transitioned at an early age and decided it's not something they want anymore.
Literally nobody is transitioning at an early age. There are no proponents for "surgery for minors". This is a myth created by the Matt Walshes of the world because it gets them attention and money. You don't hear about negative effects because this isn't happening. He's lying to you for money. Standard treatment for gender dysphoria is years of therapy, and surgery is only considered much later in life, usually in their 20s or 30s. (Disagree? Show us where these mythical people are, don't just claim they exist somewhere)
Sad that he would be tricked into medically transitioning under the false claims that it can make him less suicidal or happier. If someone wants u to harm them, the right thing is to try to help them not want to be harmed and be happy without being harmed, not to harm them.
They received their diagnosis 8 months ago. Let's check back after two years? That "pink cloud" of exciting change in their life will have faded by then. Recovering alcoholics feel like they are on the top of the world at the beginning of their sobriety, however reality will harshly snap back into focus and old thoughts will creep their way back into their mind no matter how much enthusiasm they maintain or support that they have received. I can't see how this would be any different from that..
Exactly! People with anorexia believe that they can become happy if only they'd lose some weight. It's an illusion and even if it will bring about temporary euphoria and perceived" happiness", it's unsustainable and dangerous. Just as Matt said, it would be irresponsible and criminal for a doctor to prescribe dieting pills or liposuction for anorexics, just to make them happy and less suicidal. As indeed, anorexics are far more suicidal if they can't lose weight. But the issue is not the weight, the issue is in their minds and they need help in sorting that out.
Never tricked. The doctor never claimed anything about me achieving anything like that. They told me about what effects to except, physical and mental from the hormone changes, and where the research on those specific drugs come from. We know what effects they have as there have been studies for these drugs completely unrelated to gender affirmation. The studies on the gender affirmation parts are still going through peer review and the doctors made that very clear. I wanted the effects and my mental health had deteriorated so badly and I just knew on the inside that those things would let me live again. I’ve made a lot of progress recently, I’ve even got a really amazing relationship going for me. This is just me, living my life and being me. I’m not holding myself back anymore and it feels great
@@phie6648 If you had accepted that your mental health had deteriorated, why in the world would you think that you would be in a position to know what would make you better? On one hand you admit instability, then you reach into that same well where the instability exists to find the solution? What you FEEL would help might perhaps not be the best thing to listen to, being that your dysphoria is also caused by what you FEEL. I mean no offense or disrespect, I'm simply trying to wrap my brain around this. If the dysphoria is caused by a disconnect between body and mind then you are basically replacing the bumpers on a car to fix a broken oil pump in the engine. That isn't going to make the car run any better, is it? Being who you are does not involve reconstructing yourself into who you would rather be. That is being someone else. Being who you are is accepting the hand that you were dealt. All of that aside, I truly am glad that you FEEL happy. Once again, I would caution you against listening to your feelings since they are initially what has led you here. My heart broke for that transgender person. I felt the urge to run up and hug them. To show them God’s love. I can’t imagine what kind of place you have to be in to feel like a stranger in your own body. Chemical and physical mutilation is not the answer. God bless you!
The expression mutilation doesn't apply to elective surgery. I know it's an expression you hear often on right wing channels but mutilation usually refers to some disfigurement to the detriment of the person. The only reason you would use mutilation is to dehumanize or insult the people that are choosing to do this or the people who are assisting them. By way of analogy, male infant circumcision would never be described as mutilation even though the infant doesn't consent. Doing so is usually done so to insult the religion that practices it.
@@rypsterhc8673 It's unusual for religious people to use the word religion like an insult. The doctors who are doing this and making so much money off people who are lost and in pain, who don’t need this but need help to try and love who they are. That was a great point. ❤
To the brave young man suffering from gender dysphoria who came to talk to Matt. Most of us don't want this to be done to children. If you trust your doctor and you aren't making rash decisions based on your suffering that may impact your life irreversibly, which is happening in some cases, then do you!!! The problem is the professionals who are vulture -ing young people who like you are confused. They are selling them something that might not make them happy for them to earn money? What about those kids? Again, I wish this young man happiness and a bright future. I hope he continues to get the help he needs.
That’s all and fine but Matt’s just using that point to discredit and demonize medically transitioning in general. He never even answered the question about what about the process is immoral, just went to a different probably prepared talking point about whom he’s assigning that immorality to
@@phie6648 no one is arguing about the "morality" of it for adults. He did say that. What IS immoral is butchering children and giving them powerful drugs that sterilize them and often makes them unable to orgasm, for money KNOWING the successful statistics for some of these surgeries is abhorrent!!! Worse yet, they don't always work even after burning through all your money and going through the pain and suffering of multiple surgeries. Children cannot consent to giving up their fertility and worse their ability to orgasm because they don't even understand what it means. You do realize that de-transitioning use to only occur in less than 1% of cases but now we have young people in the hundreds of thousands, right? Most of these kids were gay NOT trans and they need time to figure that out instead of rushing them into irreversible treatments. The better question is how do you believe it isn't immoral to do this to children?
@@phie6648 he did explain, in great detail, why the process is immoral. It is because it isn't true, a man cannot become a woman. At best, all you can be is a cheap imitation, a cosmetic facade. It would be just as immoral for a doctor to tear flesh off your legs, fashion it into a fin, staple the fin on your back and then tell you that you are now a dolphin, or prescribing diet pills to an anorexic person because you're "affirming their truth." People who are confused about their biological sex need therapy, not mutilating surgeries and a lifetime of pharmaceutical drugs that at best make them into a cheap imitation of what they're trying to be.
It took a huge amount of courage for the person considering transitioning to speak so openly and honestly. It was clear that this person has a huge heart and is very sensitive and so sharing in that way was amazing! Matt could have acknowledged that publicly.

unfortunately, this is nothing like that. that one person is an absolute anomaly. the indoctrination of young children into gender-ideology and gender transitioning, given the diagnosis of gender dysphoria, is becoming far too common. also, gender dysphoria isn't as crazy as having your palm size increased. by this I mean that many young adults experience a gender-based confusion during puberty.

People are so short-sighted when it comes to "whatever makes you happy". Some things are more benign, but as for medically transitioning (into something you cannot become!), these people often have no ability to look into the perhaps distant future when they may be awfully unhappy about their decision, and this is when the drugs break their bodies for the rest of their lives and limit their ability to enjoy life and live normally, they are dependent on ever increasing number of medications and medical interventions, and their surgeries may also botch and bring with them lifelong negative consequences that definitely won't increase one's happiness. Also, there's a trend among the older trans people that they begin to look more and more like their original and actual sex as they age, and it is very hard to fight against it. The body doesn't like being manipulated and it will fight back! Or break. It's an illusion that drugs and surgeries are sustainable in any fashion, especially for a lifetime. Happiness doesn't come from attempting to force something unnatural, just like when we all grow old and wrinkly, we can't bring back our youth, although many desperately attempt to achieve it. It's far better to try to find peace and happiness within and in sync with nature.
I was thinking the same thing about the focus on 'well it makes me feel good'. imagine it in the reverse. giving someone chemo isn't going to make them feel good but you do it because there is something wrong with them and they have to go through struggle to get better. You don't just take the path of least resistance and give the cancer patient a bunch of morphine to make the feel good while their bodies are ravaged. And honestly if having your body mutilated and healthy tissue and body parts getting chopped up, inverted, twisted it all causes a great deal of pain and will never fully mimic what they want. Can anyone honestly say this is making them feel good. This trans person was saying it makes them feel good about themselves; I simply don't believe them. Did you hear the pain in the persons voice? No amount of butchering their body will make them feel truly better. I hope this person gets true help before it is too late.
Agreed. To me it's very simple...just because supporting or doing something that "makes you feel good" does not necessarily mean or make them right. It certainly emboldens them to follow through or support a wrong, when it's easy for them to find support...then by default gravitate to what they emotionally want. This demonstrates their lack of emotional discipline, further demonstrating a lack of intellect, or psychological deficiency.
And also I want you to stop and think who said what to you when did they say it to you to cause you to be insecure about being a male is it that you just have genuine admiration for women and that’s why you’re attracted to transitioning

Sad that he would be tricked into medically transitioning under the false claims that it can make him less suicidal or happier. If someone wants u to harm them, the right thing is to try to help them not want to be harmed and be happy without being harmed, not to harm them.
Boosts of hormones, especially testosterone, provides a feeling of euphoria, powerful, and strong. Once hormone treatment begins, the victim succumbs.
The only reason you would use mutilation is to dehumanize or insult the people that are choosing to do this or the people who are assisting them. Worse yet, they don't always work even after burning through all your money and going through the pain and suffering of multiple surgeries. If he wants to really step in to the belly of the beast he could come up here to Montreal, Quebec. We take vice and sexual perversions to a whole new level in this forsaken place.
I just learned recently that the comapny that hosts the laaarge majority of the world's internet pornography traffic is based up here in Montreal. It's a criminal offense to misgender people and the courts will gladly take your child away from you if you refuse to affirm them in their transition.
He probably shouldn't come to a university here; I'm pretty sure there'd be attempts on his life.
17:17 I am conservative and agree 100% with Matt.
But what that girl did was foolish and unnecessary.
If you see the start of her question she says:”I didn’t expect that to go before me.”
Referring to the young confused gentleman who spoke before her.
I believe we can disagree without being hateful and nasty to each other.
Yeah I picked up on that, definitely uncalled for
@@DominickRT44 exactly, maybe Matt made a difference on that kids mind.
But as he walked away, hearing what that girl said would make anyone flip out and destroy what little progress Walsh had made just 30 seconds before.
I wish Matt would set her straight, I believe Ben or Michael would stood up and told her to be respectful.
The envelope is always pushed to the extreme, and extreme it is, so as it's contracted/ pushed back what's left in this where they're temporarily regrouping to push even further.
That’s the thing that Jefferson Airplane talks about in the white rabbit that on mother gives you pills that do nothing at all😂
Those are the guys on a college campus that will care less if you have to do the “”walk of shame the next morning
“At least you’re not in Gender Studies” 😭🤣🤣 SAVAGE!!!! Keep it up Matt lol
Lol boomer humor
Imagine trying to dunk on kids this hard
God bless Matt Walsh!
We are all sinners, but Matt Walsh brings especially shame on Christianity.
@@Mamothreptare you going to explain or just state nonsense things, because of your unbiblical beliefs?
@@isaachardaway the guy is the epitome of grifter. He's spent a decade building up his brand, from the "cool, edgey Christian who smokes", to the guy who mocks and humiliates people for a living, who are obviously suffering, and yet who the God of creation died on their behalf.
The christ-like approach to people struggling with transsexualism is to extend genuine love and compassion, in true friendship, that points them towards realtionship with God. Jesus first treated Zachius as a friend, *before* He called him to repentance. What Christian would ever get that idea from the nasty-spirited truth-dunks and public mockery Mr.Walsh dishes out to God's beloved creations?
@@Mamothrept and do you know what a grifter is? None of the things you mentioned make him a grifter, that word is used by everyone but no one knows what it means. Look up the definition of a word before you use it your making yourself look silly. None of what you said makes him a grifter😂
@@isaachardaway
I don't care about the cigars. But when i was first regularly exposed to his "work" a decade ago, it was part of his shtick. He was trying to be smug and provocative for the sake of building a brand. "Look at me! I'm a Christian who does 'naughty' things like smoking and I don't care! Look at me!" It was too cynical for me to handle. But that's way in the past. He's since evolved into mocking and shaming people with psychological issues, although he didn't shy away from that in the past either.
As for your personality and demeanor, without experiencing you on a personal level, I can only imagine the ranges that experience might encompass. I'm sure it could manifest in very enjoyable, effective, and healthy ways. But I'm sure its also prone to excesses that are toxic and ungodly. My own personality, based on feedback from people I meet, and in my life, is characterized by deep kindness and compassion. (Something that might be hard to believe based on the acidic tone of many of my comments.) And of course kindness and compassion are wonderful personality traits. Yet, as the leftists demonstrate all the time, there are dangers of excess there too. And I get into all sorts of toxic situations in my life as a result of my personality.
The point I'm trying to make here is: you can have a similar personality and demeanor to Mr.Walsh, but it's your responsibility to mold and steer your natural proclivities toward godly expressions, and away from the kind of smug nastiness that he exhibits in his quest for money. Just as I'm responsible to get my boundaries set and speak up assertively when appropriate, even if it might make someone feel bad or embarrassed.
You have to say whatever the damn professors at colleges want you to say or they'll fail you
Me when I lie and spread misinformation on the Internet for fun
I tell you, I give you this valuable opinion, because I have had a lot of friends that were gay by straight, lesbian transitioned on transitioned
"You didn't say Gender Studies, so that's a good thing." I can't imagine what you could possibly study in Gender Studies. Male, Female, end of lesson.
You atudy how genders interact with society, how they evolved and so on
@@matteoraccuglia4613 all you do is hate on Matt, every video you comment on. Nobody cares what you study in gender studies. It shouldn't be a class. There is a bottom down there somewhere where everything goes splat
I accept them for who they are, but that doesn’t mean that I have to agree with their lifestyle
As a society we have agreed in the past that using a knife to solve mental health problems is a bad idea!
Why would you start chanting "USA, USA" when someone disagrees with you on this issue? It demonstrates that this isn't about gender issues- it's about right wing extremism. And BTW, you can be transgender and a patriotic American - otherwise there wouldn't be transpeople in the military. You don't hold a monopoly on being American.
He so vain. He probably think this song is about him
Unless you work out your problems with your therapist transitioning is never gonna help you
Matt Walsh the kind of guy to wiggle his fingers and say "Ooh, don't mind if i do" to a pair of kids
ALL COMMON SENSE IS GONE
Ben, Matt & Candace for president!
Most children grow out of whatever their problem is, once their adults most of the time without outside influencers
My workplace has put online a mandatory training for transgender sensitivity. I refuse to take it as I’ve been in healthcare for 30 years and I’ve never treated anyone with disrespect. It’s 160 days overdue and I keep kicking the can down the road waiting for them to drop it but I’m considering sending an email telling them that I’m not going to do it. I can’t decide if that’s going to start my unemployment process or if that’s what I need to do to bring to light that this issue is a non-issue.
I had to watch a similar video at work. One off the new edicts is "mis- pronouning" is exactly the same as sexual harassment......Disgusting.
If "whatever makes you happy" were really a good thing, cocaine would be legal.
And also I want you to stop and think who said what to you when did they say it to you to cause you to be insecure about being a male is it that you just have genuine admiration for women and that’s why you’re attracted to transitioning
I am not joking when I say next is people with animals. You just wait and see. "Who are you to tell me my dog and I dont love eachother".
I’m not ashamed to tell you that I’ve had girlfriends in the past as a woman
And I sang with people in my class like Katy Perry, Luke, Bryan, etc.
Dude, I like to shop at Goodwill because someone else already broke it in. Why would I wanna go pay $500 for a shirt when I can go pay five dollars for a shirt
Is Matt saying that I’m NOT an Eggman?? I’m not a Walrus ???
Personality are considered traits that you have about yourself
Damn I swipe over to the other picture and 💥 there's five head in my face, shit thought my phone went into 3d mode
It’s only so many patterns that a seamstress can use when it comes to close, so why everybody’s trying to put a label on clothes I don’t get it unless we’re talking about little boys and girls that’s different
Médical transition is just plastic surgery. I’m all about people accessing plastic surgery, but would we be telling a 10-year-old child? “Yes, honey you’re right, you really are not in the right body. We should get rid of whatever on you you don’t like right this minute to make you who you really were meant to be” because we all know when you’re 10, you know everything there is to know about the rest of your life.
Please get to Michigan before the Primaries!! END Prop 3! It's disgusting!! Save the kids from their insane parents!
I’m in Upper Michigan. It’s so annoying to us Yoopers that our votes are always out shadowed by lower Michigan democrats. Specifically the insane Liberals in Detroit.
Question time is always the best time when Matt Walsh is involved. These students are so brainwashed into believing their eternal victimhood.

MARCH TO THE MAYO!!!! TAKING OUT MUTILATION IN EVERY STATE IN YOUR PATH!!!!!!!!!
I would rather have my little boy play with Barbies with a little girl at Daycare, so that he understands how to interact with girls and how they interact with their toys so that they grow up to respect women

You Guys think Matt just sits in his car for hours and stares at pictures of Trans People before attending these things.
13:05 well obviously, if there's any problem you can make money by fixing it. Plumbers make money by fixing pipes doesn't make plumbers immoral
