@bikerbrinrac yeah I'm liking it! I like that I can plug it into a USB and it connects to my phone Bluetooth. I think I'm going to put my phone in trunk or glove box and move it up near where my phone is now. Definitely a fairly cheap way to get Android Auto or Apple CarPlay
I have used one very similar (under the Hikity brand). I'm in Manchester UK, Used for the last seven months, in all weathers. It's been great - no issues. Just reliable, easy to see, always works EXCEPT when out of network range. When out of network your'e on your own. Get the old map out!
@motorcycleden That's right. Looking at maps reveals some great hidden roads too - one's you wouldn't ride otherwise. Love gps too though. It's handy to get a headsup on how the road twists ahead.
Thanks! Well, there has been some miscommunication between lexin and myself. So I'm not sure if I'll be doing a review. I'm hoping to, but it's still uncertain. If you'd like to contact me at motorcycleden@gmail.com we can discuss the intercom.
What's the purpose of this unit other than a larger screen and for bikes with no infotainment? I got the Low Rider S and plug my phone into the usb port and have all the apps needed on the phone already.
Good question. One thing, this unit gets a lot brighter than a phone will, which is great on those sunny days. Plus, it has a sun shield that will help, too. If you ride a lot, the sun can actually fade the screen. I don't know if it will happen with this unit, but if it does, it's a lot cheaper to replace. Another, it's waterproof, so there's no trying to get your phone out of the rain. Also, like you mentioned, it's quite a bit bigger than a phone, and for older eyes, that's good to have.
Ah, I don't need gauges. The info screen tells me my speed and I can pretty tell what the rpm's are. I will probably move it up by where my phone is and keep my phone in the glove box. We'll see where it fits best
@RRatedCustoms I get what you're saying, but I had to connect wired to the harley and I for whatever reason I didn't get voice directions in my intercom. When I'm using just my phone or this device, I do. Probably had a setting wrong. But this unit is mainly designed for bikes without any type of navigation or infotainment system.
@@motorcycleden Are you saying for Android Auto - your headset was connected to the bike or the phone or both? Also are you talking about Android Auto was not talking to you or it did not recognize voice commands? My 2019 has the 6.5 GTS and I have not run into any Andoid Auto problems so far. Still learning more every day.
Wow that looks great on that 7" screen. Good that it works with your My Route maps & Google maps & has usb or wired pwr.

Thats pretty cool. That would have been perfect when I had a Road King. Good review.
@@Ucmpigs thanks! I am definitely impressed with it.
Looks like a nice display to see for us older guys 🙂
It is! I definitely like it.
Looks like a great unit!!

@Sirloincloth1st the old paper map, a soon to be lost skill. There's probably a lot of these kids that have never laid eyes on one. Lol

@Sirloincloth1st yes, I like to be able to see the upcoming curves on the gps.
Maybe a gos speedometer app could be used for those with small gauges
Great idea!
Thank you , great review. I'll deffiinitely check it out
Thanks!
Have you updated on the unit and the usability of it. Im still very interested in these as a standalone unit.
@2wheelwhit I haven't yet. We need to get together sometime and I'll let you check it out.
Nice video. Not something I really need though. When you going to drop the review on the Lexin intercom? Take care and ride safe.

@@motorcycleden I might do that. Thanks.
We use a fod sports M1 from Amazon, so far excellent for the money. @@keithdickson8364

Aren’t your motorcycle gauges more important, than that display??

Got Ya.
It’s a bit too “GoldWing”for me. 😀👍💯
I can see it for bikes without the Harley 6.5 GTS head unit but why not use the Android Auto or Apple Carplay on you bike that is already built in?
