It’s amazing. As others have said, the first season is ok, but not the best. They find their footing in season 2, and season 3-7 is absolutely amazing.
It is done! I liked it as I expected from watching the compilations. Working in similar circumstances myself the whole vibe was pretty amusing. Not the biggest Knope-fan, definitely more of a Swanson guy myself, but whenever the show didn't too much narrow down on her it was great. You guys were right with the first season - probably the weakest, yet not that terrible either. A good show to 'watch away' as you might say.
I’m stationed in Pearl Harbor Hawaii and my whole family lives on the east coast. I was unable to go home for the holidays and was all alone for Christmas and new year’s this year. Military life can get lonely and depressive at times but the comedic duo of Ben Wyatt and Chris Traeger helped me through it. This was literally the best holiday gift I received this year!!!
I know I’m just a rando on the Internet, but I’m here in this feeling with you my guy. I hope the next time you are able to see your loved ones, that feeling just melts away, and you can enjoy being together with them again. Fingers crossed for 2024, for the both of us.

Hang in there, friend. When I was in the worst of mine I would watch nothing but humor all day and never laugh a single time. But something did make me laugh again. I forget what it was, probably something really dumb, but I remember thinking “omg I just laughed!” and of course the depression didn’t disappear, but that moment was really a bright spot. You’ll laugh again! Just hang tight until you get there.
I actually relate to Chris somewhat. I've found myself in a similar situation where I feel like I have to keep a strict regiment of diet and daily exercise, where I feel guilty if I skip a day because I need to rest and I get angry at my body or feel shame after eating something like a hamburger when I didn't "need it"

Yeay! As is customary, 1st season they were still emerging from The Office shadow. Still good, but season 2 really gets good.
