    The reason why legacy changes when on independent is because what legacy is essentially doing is increasing your sens when you ads in to match what your hip fire sens is. When you’re on independent and ads in it zooms in to what ads on 80 fov is. So what legacy is doing is increasing your sens up to what your hip fire would be on 80 fov rather than to 120 or whatever you’re using. You can test this by putting your fov on 80 independent and you’ll see they match up 1:1 like when you’re on affected 👍

    • @TrumpWinner
      @TrumpWinner 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      true, which is why is best to use affected if you are using higher than 80FOV.

    Personal experience: changed to 1.78 because of my screen dimensions (internet told me to divide my resolution). Never felt locked in. Always felt off. A month later I changed it to 1 after watching Faze Nios settings. My sniping and overall aim has never felt so “point and shoot” before. Way more locked in feeling. Will try 1.33 after a month of 1 and will be back. PS: test 1 coefficient Newt, Nio one of the best snipers in the game rocks it. PS PS: I’m new to the mnk scene after a lifetime of playing control. Your videos helped ease this journey so thank you Newt. Stay up my friend.

      lowering my FOV to 90 and using relative 1 with inepedentant works well. Iv'e realised you dont really need 120, 90 helps you see eneymies much easier and lets just say im winning way more 1 on 1 battles. so im happy.

    I’ve messed around with all of these and I find myself most consistent with 0 at affected. If you’re an arm aimer with a low sense I think it’s best cause you can be super precise, kinda has the feel that a lot of the top Warzone streamers have like Sym where they lower their ads settings. If you’re more of a wrist player then then it’s not as great cause you’re probably gonna be behind on tracking targets

    • @Sports4me7
      @Sports4me7 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Also for example if you used a VLK scope you probably wouldn’t even get nearly as much of a 360 as you did with the red dot. Kinda makes sense though cause if you’re using more of a scope you would want a slower sense to make the minor adjustments

  • @kalebward4029
    @kalebward4029 3 ปีที่แล้ว +25

    "Is it 1:1" isnt a question. Your ads 360 will be different for every gun and optic because they all zoom to a different fov. Pistols, smgs, and ars all have a different 360 distance no matter what coeffecient you use. You wouldn't want your sniper scope to do a 360 the same distance as your gi mini. The holographic would be different than the gi because it zooms in more. Smg iron sights dont zoom as much as ar irons. Your sensitivty doesnt change when you ads, the 360 distance changes because your fov is tighter. Trying to match the 360 distance scales up the velocity of the reticle, so it feels the same but the cursor actualy moves faster than your hip to try to match the hip 360 of the old fov with the new fov. If you bump your fov way down in the settings and keep your same sens, then doing a hip 360 will feel way slower because you're seeing less of the screen, but your sensitivity is still the same. It works the same way when your fov lowers when aiming. Thats why your sniper scope doesn't "feel" as sensitive as your hip. Using a sniper scope is like dropping your fov suppperrr low
    0 coeficcient makes your flicks based on 2d distance from the reticle to the target, and your screen resolution doesn't matter because its basing it off the center of the screen. So if you had a 1x zoom optic and are standing 100 meters back from 2 targets, then it will take say 4 inches for you to flick between each target. If you move up 50 meters, then it would take 2 inches for each flick. So now if you put on a 2x optic and move back to 100m away, it will take 2 inches again. Its as if you physically moved 2 times closer (50 meters away) using a 1x optic. If you moved 200 meters away with the 2x, then it would take 4 inches to flick between them. The same as if you moved 2 times closer with the 1x
    Using 1.33 or 1.78 scales up the velocity if the cursor to make it "feel" like its closer to your hip, and it feels different for different resolutions. every gun and optic will have a different sensitivity. Using legacy or 0 (theyre the same thing) keeps your sensitivity the same no matter what fov you use (or how much zoom your gun has) or what resolution your monitor is, so i think legacy is the best

    For a 1920x1080 monitor your coefficient for 1:1 is 1.78
    A 1.33 coefficient is equivalent to a 4:3 monitor's mouse movement on a 1920x1080 monitor.
    Legacy is a shortcut to the 1:1 regardless of your monitor.

    Bro. This is the video everyone needed. I use 1.33 because it just feels like Call of Duty. My brain is used to the aim slowdown. CS:GO isn't 1:1 either. I honestly don't know where the idea came from that 1:1 is ideal, because as your vision focuses further away, your brain is narrowing your field of view more. I don't believe in the whole, using the same sens for every game. For one, the way sensitivity is affected on different weapons is what gives games a unique feel, and is usually tuned to the way the game is played. I match my sensitivity to what I want to be able to do in a game, what ranges I want to be most effective at, the types of angles I need to gain information from, and what my eyes feel comfortable seeing. It feels weird to walk like you do in CS with your camera whizzing around hella fast. And the whole game is funnel points. There is little need to ever cover multiple angles. On the other hand, really low sensitivity feels weird to rocket jump and track players all around you in a massive arena in Quake. I think Call of Duty falls in between all of this. 40-50cm/360 seems to be the sweet spot for the way the game is played. There are plenty of funnel points, cover, lines of sight, but they can be spaced out, and as many angles as you have covered, just as many have you covered. You need to be able to gain info quickly and often, and react quickly to the unexpected and take cover in a pinch. And you run like Usain Bolt on steroids. But, the game is still mostly horizontal, and the time to kill is fast, and there can be significant downtime between gunfights, so consistency and first shot accuracy is important to balance with the movement.

  • @Prynzed
    @Prynzed 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    1.33 changes the sens to replicate a 4:3 aspect ratio which will be 1920x1440 and 1.78 will be a 16:9 aspect ratio which will be a 1920x1080 resolution. thats why the horizontal sens its the same for 1.33 and 1.78; because the horizontal resolution in 4:3 and 16:9 is the same. But the VERTICAL sensitivity its different. on 1.78 the vertical and horizontal sens is the same, while in 1.33 the vertical sens is slighlty higher when aiming in

  • @MrDutch1e

    Switched to 2.33 on 21:9 monitor and helped me a LOT in close range fights. Also seems to have helped with tracking at range but it's def going to throw off my snipe flicks for a while. I was at 1.33 forever tho and I kept under shooting snipes sometimes. Who knows I might end up putting it back lol. I should prob figure out what the medium is since I ran 1.33 for so long on 16:9 lol.

    • @Serefth
      @Serefth 3 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      1.33 is the equivalent of playing on 4:3 aspect ratio or 1920x1440 and what is guy doesn't mention at all is coefficient is in relation to your vertical sensitivity.
      So at 1.33 your vertical sensitivity (up and down) is 25% faster than horizontal. At 1.78 your horizontal speeds up slightly to match your vertical so they're the same. All of this is if you're playing at 1920x1080 16:9.

    They should've given you the option to change sensitivities across all different zooms - SMGS, ARs and pistols all have a different FOV and because of it a little different sensitivity on relative, also sights like Holo, 3x, red dot... This is very inconsistent, even though it's not that noticeable. Instead of just having High Zoom and Low Zoom multipliers they should've given the multipliers for every single different zoom in the game, that way you can match correctly all the iron sight zooms, lower zoom optics and higher zoom optics.

      @@RavenousSix haha funny how things work out. In general dont worry about the "correct" values as none of them are exactly right anyway. All they do is make movements either actually one to one or feel like one to one for a specific area of the screen. Tbh the thing that makes most sense is to use 1.78 for the equal horizontal and vertical value. (For you on 16:10 res whatever 1.6) and then just adjust the ads sensitivity slider if you want it faster or slower. Using 1.33 makes no sense unless you want the faster vertical speed and using 0 is essentially just people using an easy to remember/input value for a slower/lower multipliers ads scaling curve. You would probably get very similar ads sensitivity values using 0.7 ads sens with the 1.78 16:9 ratio coefficient.

    If you keep the default value of 1.33 YOUR HORIZONTAL SENS IS SLOWER THAN YOUR VERTICAL SENS
    Defaulting on 1.33 means your horizontal sens is not matching your vertical sens if you use 1920x1080 res
    Aspect Ratio in regards to Monitor Distance Coefficient value
    4:3 = 1.33
    16:9 (1920x1080) = 1.777778
    21:9 (2560x1080) = 2.33

    Well it’s all relative (pun intended) for a lot of people that play FPS shooters and been around on pc for a years will be familiar with relative at 0 which legacy was supposed to be but it ended up broken as it doesn’t scale with fov like relative at 0 does , it’s as if ur sensitivity was on 80 fov, why do you think when you change ur field of view ur sensitivity feels different even though it’s the same 360 distance, it all comes down to focal length a scaling ,when you make a video like this you should really look up the science of it, understand the concept of how it all works, so if u want same 360 distance yeh go ahead use legacy at affected but that doesn’t mean that it will work for all of you, a lot of people think they want same 360 or what they call 1 to 1 sensitivity but what they’re really looking for is the same feel which 1.33 or 1.78 can provide and a lot of people are ok with that but if your the type of person to struggle using legacy because it doesn’t feel natural which I know for a lot of you it doesn’t, u may say u want it but what u want is to be comfortable with ur send and decide what works best for you by experementing I’ve done extensive research and extreme testing on Relatvie and legacy and how ur fov affects the scaling and I switch between them to whatever I feel like using , not saying you should keep switching but find what is natural and feels good to you , only way to get good

    • @curtisaknopp

      Hey Troll...I mean Don of Gambinos, every other video out there explains the concept and the math (which you ironically call science) behind it, but they do not show such a practical application. This is exactly what most people are looking for. We need to see what it looks like, which is why this video is perfect. We care as much about the “science” behind this concept as we do about your pretentious, deigning comment - which is not at all. Also, you should learn how to use periods...or any punctuation at all correctly. I’m sure there’s a science book out there on proper grammar you could read.

    this video is completely wrong,since it ignores what coeff does. ,the reticle moves with different speed near the center of the screen or the edge of the screen depending the values.sure the overall mouse distance travel for a 360 is specific ,but the sense is different while near the center of a screen or the edge,that is why 0 is for tracking(sense is scaled closer to hip while near the reticle),1.33 for close flicks(sense is scaled a little further than the reticle to match hip) and 1.78 for long flicks because it basically lets you have higher sense near the reticle but is decreased when near the edge of the screen. in fewer words....coeff isnt for same 360 but for analog matching hip/ads at certain distances from the center of the screen. cool vid but wrong and pointless

    • @Serefth
      @Serefth 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      1.33 is the equivalent of playing on 4:3 aspect ratio 1920x1440, 1.78 is 16:9 1920x1080 and what is guy doesn't mention at all is coefficient is in relation to your vertical sensitivity.
      So at 1.33 your vertical sensitivity (up and down) is 25% faster than horizontal. At 1.78 your horizontal speeds up slightly to match your vertical so they're the same. All of this is if you're playing at 1920x1080 16:9.
