Thanks Marcus, im being more organized and sorted for mixing (gain staging and visually) And it creates better confidence and precision while mixing...... Thanks for knowledge full vdos...
Great vid Marcus! Question though: With the the recent addition of having separate monitoring and playback buffers, what advantages do you think this approach offers over simply increasing the dropout protection buffer and freezing the most CPU demanding V.I.s? Or is this something you do mostly because you're going to send the project away to someone else to mix? Thanks! EDIT: Just heard your explanation at the end of the video about the missing samples/instruments, very good point indeed.
I'm a bit confuse. Sorry I'm new to music production. If we are exporting our beat to get mix. Are we exporting all the tracks or stem. Other YT videos say stem is when you export the buses and not the individual tracks.
when prepping for a mix i always cut out as much dead air from events. I use the Show Tracks with Events under the Cursor feature a lot as it allows me only to see the tracks that have events at any one point. It also makes it easier to move left and right through events when they aren't one big event.
That makes sense, and is a good call.. the main thing i was trying to do here, was consolidate all those smaller events into a larger "block" that way i can use clip gain automations, etc.. And cutting them up down the line later in the mix as needed Thanks for your comment! Cheers, M 🍻
Very useful Markus. Thank you.
