Hey Jeff after watching your video today, I decided to play along and give this comment. I brought a can of rubber flex from lowes in Lithonia, GA last month to fill a couple of holes left by the large screws from Direct TV Disk I removed from the garage roof, July, 2020. I knew that i would probably have to do several passes before it seal to my satisfaction. I was right with rain looming in the horizon I wanted to see how this product. I was impress, no leaks inside the garage. I did the pipes inside also because I notice a few drops of rain. After spraying a layer or two around the joints, no leaks. I brought 2 more cans just in case. The saying is, it's better to have and not need, than to need and not have. The cost was about $9.00 a can minus my vet discounts. By the way I like your videos, Keep up the good work, Take care and mask and glove up to be safe. RE Morgan Decatur, GA
WOW...this is a true testament to the product. Thanks for sharing your story and more importantly thanks to your service for our country! Have a great day and stay safe.
@@Jeffreviews4u Thank you so very much, Jeff. Do you do any videos on multi-meters on how to read continuity for and on small appliances? Take care yourself. RE Morgan Decatur, GA
I used Flex Seal on my rain gutters before the Rubber Flex was on the market. I had good luck with the Flex seal. After two years my gutters did not leak.
Excellent comparison. I've used the flex seal on a swimming pool and it did fine. Nice to see both products in competition with one another. Have a great day.
Great review as always. Thank you. I would like to make one suggestion. You are close to making 100 videos...89 specifically I think...but your total subscribers is less than 4,000. I would like to see you market yourself more. Your videos are too great to only be seen by a few thousand people. Keep up the great work. Have a blessed day 💕

Flex Seal tape works even better when surfaces are free of debris, oils and other contaminates. Also I use a blow dryer just to warm up the tape and lock it all in place. You don’t have to do it but it gives me piece of mind and ensures tight grip.
I Use a lot of Flex Seal. Stopped many leaks IN wet conditions as well. Using from the can or spray the black works better than White or Clear. For a lasting seal it is still best to clean and dry the surface. I’ve never had a Flex Seal spray can clog. For quart and gallons they should sell these in a pour style container like a bleach container. Once the can is opened it is almost impossible to reseal the can enough to save unused product.
Spray is not going to work as well as dipping because of the pressure used in the spray can. The problem is with your choice of product. Use the thicker product.
Hey Jeff, thanks for your review. I'm not sure if i would cut the bottom out of my boat and trust either one as the commercial suggests. I did use the flex seal and I believe another type that was very similar made by krylon. Part of my roof around the chimney started leaking, they seemed to do the trick until I was able to get a new roof on my house.
There is no way I would trust this to be the bottom of my boat. That being said the Flex Spray crew has a lot bigger budget than I do - ha. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
on the strainer you were maybe holding the can too close? the pressure in the can was pushing through the mesh? holding it back away a bit more would let the spray slow down before hitting the strainer......idk for sure unless i tried but just a theory.
As with most spray cans containing anything with adhesive qualities (including paint), you should ALWAYS clean the nozzle before alternate applications to ensure an even spray. 🤔💭 *Hold upside down & spray until no product comes out, then clean the nozzle
Definitely appreciate ur experiment bc I was about to use Flex Seal on my old home gutters but I am so not impressed. Their advertising does not match the performance. What does work on gutter leaks?
Where is the leak? They sell gutter sealers and pastes. If you like the flex products they have flex Paste and a liquid rubber in a gallon can. Both should seal pretty well. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
As with any aerosol application multiple thin coats works much better and dries faster, heavy spraying does not work or dry well. Try painting something with a spray can and see how a heavy application goes lol. Why would you spray the knives horizontally? spraying them length ways would make much more sense lol
Jeff...as I appreciate the reviews, there are a whole lot of products designed to seal and waterproof. This test only reveals which works better that day. How effective would these products remain over a period of time outdoors? It's common knowledge that UV light exposure over a period of time is brutal.
Stopping by to show ya some support and love 💕 my friend! A big thumbs up from me 👍🏻 this was awesome I remember seeing the commercial for this product and I always wondered if it worked !
Why the hell did you use cardboard boxes you should just got a plastic bowl and poke some holes in it and then reseal it. I had some shingles blow off my roof I used rubber flex and it worked great.
I work on metal roofs and we have tested both products do not work very well at all. After using this type of products , no other products well not stick. We had to cut out the area and patch it over with new panels. The rubber tape are ok for temporary repairs until you can make permanent repairs.
Jeff Reviews4u yes we have use it. It dose work good and last for about 4 years in the Desert southwest and last for around 6 years in Midwest that’s when you’re going to start seeing rusting around it from water accumulating in snow accumulating underneath the edges. So it is always a good plan to repair the area will a permanent repair. We have found Henries tropical sealant 100% silicone works better and sticks better. There is a paste and a roll-on version. Not saying that it will fell on a Metal roof and will not have rust issues after 5 or 6 years . It dose work better on mostly every else great 👍. The flux past works good don’t take me wrong but when using in a gutter it not in no way a permanent repair. As the Henries can be as it has the best flux it the surface but beware the Henries is expensive. For a gal. It will run around $75 dollars. I have not seen it smaller the that but I have not looked it up before.
I used both trying to reseal my rv roof. Flex seal is horrible. I used both the tape and the spray. It did nothing. Roof still leaked. Rubber flex is AWESOME!!! rubber flex tape stopped all leaks on my roof of my rv.
For an RV roof you're going to want a thicker product. Tape and spray won't hold up. There is RV roof seals out there but if you're looking for an ASOT product try flex Paste. It's much thicker than the spray and tape. I recently did a review on it. Check it out here: th-cam.com/video/BCfcvfhlzBM/w-d-xo.html

I never used the spray flexseal but I did use the flexseal tape on a small leak and it worked perfectly. It didn't leak at all again.

have not used either.I've used rubber dip and it works great.

well I'm actually using the Flex Seal the black one on a PVC leak and I'm hoping that it works it's the part in the toilet drainer
I'd wrap that in flex tape too - haha. No one wants that to leak LOL. Let me know how it works.

Like the show!!! Im going with the rubber flex!!!
Very cool! Thanks for taking the time to comment 🙂 👍
I used flex seal on a humidifier on my furnace, it sealed but the heat melted the seal, flex seal don't work on high heat
I want to repair a leaky plastic pipe from the out side theire no demostrations for this .
Can rubber flexx be used on exterior concrete foundation cracks?

Do you think it would work on concrete bird baths? I have a crack in mine and it leaks.
What about drywall with flex paste or seal?
I wouldn't put either on drywall...the rubbery texture doesn't sand well. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

The boxes... Because cardboard? Please try wooden or mental/tin boxes see the difference?
Cardboard is the weakest...it worked ok on them...should work better on wood or other materials.
