Are you going to get mad at a dog for killing a bug? No? Well then don’t get mad for them eating a octopus. Ok just gotta say right away this comment is not meant to be rude or hostile in any way, I just wanted to address some of the comments talking about how the octopus should’ve been left alone or how it was cruel. First, although you might think that it would be absurd to eat some things (like octopus or squid for example) you have to accept the fact that not everyone will think like you or eat exactly how you eat. If you dislike eating a certain thing than it’s fine, but that doesn’t mean others are not allowed to eat that same thing anymore. Secondly, the octopus was not killed in a inhumane way that would be called cruel. It was killed efficiently and quickly, which is the most humane way to kill a octopus. Although it still moved that is merely because the tentacles move independently through nerves. Again this was not meant to be rude in any way. I'm an Aussie, but got taught how to eat octopus by my mates (Greek and Italians) You should open the head, remove guts, brain , eyes and beak (keep the head flesh attached). Rinse in the seawater and beat the occy against a rock a few times and stretch the tentacles, (this relaxes the flesh) then boil in water that has white vinegar - removes the slime in the skin)until it is orange in colour about 5mins - cut into cubes, marinate in olive oil, lemon juice, oregano and salt for about 10-15min, then grill on the BBQ or fry in shallow oil for 5-7mins. Let it cool a little to rest/relax and serve with crusty bread toast rubbed with a clove of garlic on one side and good quality olive oil to dip the bread into. The absolute BEST way to enjoy it

I am greek and i'm gonna tell you the 3 ways to tenderize octopus meat. option n1: after you kill it, hit it vigorously on flat rocks approximately 50 times and rub it on the rock until most of its purple juice come out. (this is the old method all grand-parents used to do) option n2: put it at least 24-48 hours in the freezer before you cook it. (this is the modern method) option n3: let it sit in water+backing soda a few hours (another modern method) Bon apetit
KA- BOOM!!! That in Mediterranean Countries (Italy included) there is a culture for eating octopi. Every country cooks it differently. For example, in Italy is eaten grilled, stuffed and even raw (NOT alive!).

I am greek and i'm gonna tell you the 3 ways to tenderize octopus meat.
option n1: after you kill it, hit it vigorously on flat rocks approximately 50 times and rub it on the rock until most of its purple juice come out. (this is the old method all grand-parents used to do)
option n2: put it at least 24-48 hours in the freezer before you cook it. (this is the modern method)
option n3: let it sit in water+backing soda a few hours (another modern method)

1. If you're not a vegan why comment why taking an octopus out of it's home and cooking it is cruel. Do you know what chicken farming is like?

First of all, we’re standing up for our rights. If you would open up your narrowed mind, you would see that most of the meat you eat is cloned and modified. You’re filled with the government’s lies and I personally think you aren’t ready for the truth. Have you even asked a vegan WHY we are vegan? If not, you have no rights to judge us. Don’t judge us at all but especially if you don’t know our purpose. Give me two examples as proof on how humans are supposed to eat meat. We can’t eat it raw like other carnivores so there’s one example. We don’t have sharp teeth to bight into meat, like other carnivores so there’s an other.. And uh, don’t hit me with that beef cause I don’t eat meat. ;)
